All very good to hear. Now to conclude that, a CB or 2 and a replacement for Clichy.

I don't think anyone will be buying Mata, at least not this window.

I think it'll be either Baines or Enrique, I just pray that he doesn't rely on Gibbs because if we do that we are well and truly fucked.

Interesting stat.

In the 3 years Nasri has been at the club our win % with him starting has been 50%, without him it's 64%

in the 2010/11 season our win % with him starting was 46%, without it's 60%

Just thought it was interesting that's all, especially when people love to pull out the stat about the % of games we lose without Cesc whenever he's injured

I saw a stat on Arseblog (did cheer me up haha, thanks), apparently Bendtner has scored 22 goals in 40 games.
We all know that he needs at least a dozen shots to score, but the stat doesn't say that does it?

On that note, I hope we get rid of him, but it doesn't seem like there's been much interest for him. Maybe we can swap him for Gary Cahill or Chris Samba or something.
That's all we need, one of those two and I'll be happy.

Nasri will be a benchwarmer at City and if he's moving there, it's obviously for the money. As if £90,000 isn't enough? Shows what kind of a man he is.

Clichy, good luck to him; he's been a great servant for our club and it's about time that Gibbs got his opportunity anyway.

Now time to cash in on Fabregas, with the help of Mourinho :P .

Gibbs? I think he has had enough opportunities, and he hasn't taken them at all. I can't remember one good game he had this season. If Clichy goes, we need either enrique or baines et al otherwise we have no chance of winning anything if we have to rely on Gibbs.

The problem with Gibbs isn't his talent, because he's got that covered, the problem is we can't(at least last season we couldn't) rely on him to stay fit, and I don't think he's ready to step up and be first choice just yet. I can see us getting Enrique just because Everton will ask for a stupid amount for Baines.

Being a left back isn't about having one excellent game, it's about being consistent. Like Sydcro said, it's his fitness that's his problem. Personally, I think he's quality.

I'd trust Arsene on this one, he's good with left backs (pretty sure he was one himself and Pat Rice was a right back- it's never been our problem area), if he thinks Gibbs is good enough to step up, then he's good enough.

Yeah I had a bit of a  at that. Would be interesting to see what happened if all the clubs he's been linked to said "Well if it's not about money we will offer you exactly the same 67k a week you were getting at Arsenal" Would be very interesting to see what his decision would be then.

So Gael Clichy, the last member of the Invincibles, the greatest side in English Football history, looks set to leave to Man City. Wish him all the best in the future, always carried himself well and has been a great servant for the club.

Just like Kolo he will leave with the best wishes of the fans and will always get a good reception when he comes to London to play us.

So much for Cesc going on strike

He was at Colney today, a day earlier than he had to be and was there to greet players as they came in. Also took part in a training session with the team.

People can say what they want about him during this whole saga, but one thing is for sure and that is the guy is all class.

Anything about Robin leaving or wanting to leave is crap. He would be one of the last players at the club who would hand in a transfer request.

I think Gibbs can make the step up, he's proven it before that he can do it with a run of fitness. The problem is can we trust him to stay fit after what happened last season.

I'd still much rather us not have to take that risk and just buy Enrique or Baines.
