I honestly can not wait until we play City and Frimpong gets a chance to go up against Nasri. Something tells me he won't be spending a whole lot of time in the middle

At the atomic level, everything is about Liverpool vs Man U.

Scouses rob houses. Especially now theres no European football. That must've kept the crime rate down for years! What else are they going to do in mid-week?

Edited by beersandwich: 25/8/2011 04:59:07 PM I'm more interested in when we play them at the Grove. The reception Nasri gets there will be less than friendly  As for ex greats in the back room. The only one I could maybe see coming back at the moment is Keown. TA has said he'd only come back as manager and we've already got Steve Bould, Brady and Pat Rice at the club. People talk about us needing a defensive coach, but a lot of people don't mention or forget that Pat Rice is one of the greatest defenders in the history of the club, and imo it's between him and Dixon as the greatest RB. Maybe that's why we've always had good fullbacks. One other one that will be back in a few years definitely is Titi.

Samir Nasri in 2010 : "I think we have more merit as a club than those who have built their teams with millions of pounds." Gael Clichy in 2009 : "If any player Only wants Money , He will go to Manchester City." Kolo Toure in 2008 : "City may spend a lot , but they will never overtake the Top 4 of the Premiership"
Who will be next?

I used to like Nasri, and still did even during this whole saga, but that's just douchebaggery. You think the plastic fans at Citeh are going to be passionate? Please. It really is just pathetic. I really am so glad we got rid of him. He complains about the fans not being passionate. I dunno, those songs at Newcastle seemed pretty passionate to me  I love how he says it's changed since Highbury. How the fuck would he know, he only came along in 2008. Also interesting that he basically admitted he was tapped up by City. when i saw this, i was pissed off, and im a united fan. players have no idea what it means to be a footballer nowdays. to them its all about the money. i had soo much respect for nasri, not so much anymore.

Robin van Persie has played 26 games in 2011 and has scored 22 goals. Just ridiculous.

Song was shit in the first half, great in the 2nd Quote: Rosicky i have never rated and once again he underwhelmed me Don't know what makes you think this considering Rosicky was one of the best on the park in the 2nd half. Ran his bollocks off. Quote:With a decent LB (because i thought whoever played there v udinese isn't really up to Arsenal standard yet) You do know it was Sagna at LB? Sorry, i had been up for like 30 hours when i wrote this. JENKINSON, but you agree with my opinion on him? Nope, can't say i thought Frimpong played anything special this game wasn't really in much and got himself a card again for no reason. Song was shit in the first half, but i would say a big part of us turning the game around 2nd half was song stepped up immensely defensively. Rosicky - Not very fast and in our team thats a big deal, doesn't really pass it as well as an arsenal centre mid should for mine, defensively a bit suspect. He scores some great goals from out the box which we desperately need and thats great, and yes he puts in 100% but for mine doesn't make up for it. The whole left side was a shambles first half thats where every single one of their chances came from and its not like Udinese were much better on that side, just our left side is defensively suspect. Commentator even agreed not that i'm using him as a reference. Do you refute that?

Frimpong wasn't in much because he had to continually cover for Song being a fuckhead.
As for Rosicky not being good enough defensively. He was excellent defensively this morning. Someone has obviously taught him how to tackle over the summer, and it's no surprise that our much improved 2nd half coincided with Rosicky coming on and Song dropping back. The reason Rosicky always gets picked over Arshavin, especially for big games is how much the guy works. He does so much tracking back, and last night it paid off with him making some quite excellent tackles. We would be stupid to sell him imo.

GROUP F Arsenal Marseille Olympiacos Dortmund Honestly I'm actually really happy with it. No trips to Eastern Europe, teams that won't just sit back and shut up shop. Will be some really good games. And the fact that it's not a piss easy group could be good considering how much we like to fuck those up.

So many people complaining about it, but when you really think about it an opening bid of 6m for a player in the last year of his contract is not as outrageous as is being made out to be.
