When RVP took it around Cech, did anyone else get flashbacks of Torres?

Like you would not fucking believe  In my head I was just "Please don't Torres it" Here's a fun comparison. fernando Torres 50m Robin van Persie 2.75m And Van Persie yesterday scored more league goals in 90 minutes than Fernando Torres has in 11 games for Chelsea there  Edited by sydneycroatia58: 30/10/2011 11:17:49 PM

I have found a way to make that John Terry fall even better. He didn't even slip, he just threw himself to the ground.
Watch the end of this video and the close up of it. From about 38 seconds.

and i guess thats why arsene still keeps theo starting. he will have shit games and freaking awesome games. hopefully he can start scoring like he did start of last season.

He really deserved one of those 2 brilliant balls into the box in the space of a minute to be put away, especially the Gervinho one. Was so good watching MOTD and seeing Alan Hansen have to swallow his pride and admit how good Theo was. Not bad for a player with no footballing brain

 Funny little quirk I found when looking at out assists so far this season.
Everyone remembers against Blackburn when Gervinho didn't pass to an open RvP and decided to shoot and the look RvP gave him.
Well since that moment of selfishness, Gervinho has got 4 assists in the league, and all 4 to Robin van persie  Something tells me he learnt his lesson.

Also worth mentioning that with that win yesterday it means we've beaten Chelsea now 2 games in a row. It's the first time we've done that in the league since the 2003-04 season when we beat them 2-1 home and away.

Is anyone else very surprised at how well Tottenham are doing? Equal 3rd with a game in hand to be played at home against mid-table opposition... How do they do so well yet aren't a particularly profitable club with a small stadium and moderate fanbase? Quality like van der Vaart, Bale and Modric are amazing at such a moderate club!

Why ask a question like that in an Arsenal thread  By the way, no I'm not surprised, although I would much rather them rooted to the bottom of the table.

Even at the foot of the table we'd still beat your lot the way you defend :p Watched the replay of the game against Chealski, what a cracker. I only saw a few minutes every now and then the other night but farrrrk, with 10 to go it looked like a Chlesea storm was comming. Who would have thought. Great game.

](*,) Apparently RVP's goal celebration for the goal where Terry slipped was a Nazi celebration. Look i'm not usually a defender of Arsenal but OMFG thats just retarded. RVP is the upmost professional.

The yids are the strongest i've seen them for a long time. Scott Parker, what a footballer. I've always rated him and I wish Arsene bought him. One of my favourite footballers even if he does play for Tottenham. He's making a massive difference. A must-start for England in Euro 12. RVP is fast becoming our new Theirry Henry. We should wrap RVP in cotton wool and keep him for the important and less physical games. Please don't start him at Stoke away. Same with TV

Stoke are hard to break down, you may need him for a 1-0 park the bus type show. As for TV, he needs to get back match fitness for the big games so I reckon he will start.

The thing I love is, lets say for arguments sake it was a Nazi salute, why then did he do the same thing with both arms at the same time  That's no salute I know of. It's just a dusting of the shoulders gesture, he's done it before and no one made anything of it, but Chelsea fans are all pissy about getting smashed

Just watched the highlights of the game again... Sydcro was saying Lukaku fouled Santos in the leadup to Mata's goal and I disagreed, but I have to admit watching it back I think there definitely should have been a foul.
Just had to say that. :)

Just had to say that. :) The thing that made it so clear to me was you see when Meireles picks the ball up he runs straight into the channel Santos would've moved into if he hadn't been obstructed.

Yeah. Just watching it in real time you can see Lukaku clearly steps INTO Santos and blocks him.
