I just don't like Gervinho  Don't see much in him. I think Bosingwa would be a great pick up, however he is very old (30-31 iirc). Maybe too old for a club like Arsenal? I don't think Bosingwa's age would be much of a problem considering he'd only be a back up. And Arsene showed last summer that he isn't averse to buying players with lots of experience, not to mention he'll be on a free which we all know Arsene loves  He's well worth a look.

23 years ago today Arsenal travelled to Anfield needing to win by 2 clear goals to win the title. No one gave us any chance, Arsenal fans didn't give themselves any chance, but we went there and did it thanks to goals from Alan Smith and a last minute goal from Micky Thomas we clinched our first league title in 18 years and provided what is to this day one of if not the greatest moment in Arsenal's history. Also created one of the most iconic pieces of commentary from Brian Moore
"Thomas charging through the midfield, Thomas, It's up for grabs now, Thomassss"

Van Persie and Bendtner both scored for their national teams overnight, but unfortunately both were on the losing side. Bendtner against Brazil and Robin against Bulgaria.

To be honest I am not too stressed about M'Vila, but it probably means both Song and Coq aren't staying... Have a feeling he has already signed, especially after the Sagna comments...

Have a feeling he has already signed, especially after the Sagna comments... Bizarre. I wouldn't see any reason for Song and Coq to leave because we puchases M'Vila. Are we only allowed one decent player per position? Lack of depth like this has been one of the big problems of late. The three recent EPL winners ManU, City and Chelsea all have midfields they can rotate without too much quality being lost, and so should we. Having Arteta, Song and M'Vila rotating the two deep mid spots is perfect. Coquelin will be more our utility guy and can play virtually anywhere when needed (in the last two years he's played sufficiently at DM, CM, RB, LB and even RM). but he's still not on the same level as the other three yet. A long time ago Wenger said he saw Wilshere as a #10. If he hasn't changed his mind don't be surprised to see him replacing Ramsey and rotating with Rosicky. I think Sagna was just responding to a question asked of him about M'Vila. Wouldn't get my hopes up because of that.

M'vila, Song and Wilshere? Not to mention having Arteta, le Coq, Frimmpooong, Ramsey and Rosicky... That's not bad, certainly no-one there that you'd call 'diabolical'. No denilsons/cygans... I still reckon that we need a creative player. The reality is, the biggest signing this summer will be RVP. Please put pen to paper Robin...

M'Vila to Arsenal odds on Skybet.com have shot up to 10/1 (1.1). Best odds for any transfer going through on the site.
I don't trust newspapers and websites nor twitter "insiders" because they can be full of shit or deceived. But the one thing you can always put your faith in is money :) Feeling a little more confident about this now.

Early in his career Robin van Persie was also a red card waiting to happen.

 So first it was Robin's wife who came out and said he should stay with Arsenal. Quote:Arsenal showed faith in Robin when he was going through a lean time, so we should not repay them by thinking about other clubs And now his mum has come out and said he should stay.

 The amount of people making a fuss about Robin getting the #16 for the Euros and then assuming this means he won't be starting for them is just incredible

Didn't RVP ask for 16 specifically because his son was born on the 16th or something?

But that didn't stop people from going on saying he's had some bust-up with van Marwijk and won't be starting. I mean they were still going on about it even after his wife confirmed it

Dzeko being put in the shop window is not a good sign for Arsenal keeping RVP. Bayern rumoured to be interested. Havn't verified these facts but I've been told we only lost 1 game the whole season when Mikel Arteta played and we only lost 1 game that Ramsey did NOT start. If true that shows how important good central midfield depth is to us. And maybe how effective a deep midfielder with good positional awareness who can stay on their feet is. Reasons to sign Ibrahim Affelay: 1. Apparent best mates with Robin 2. We're lacking a creative winger 3. Can also play in the hole 4. Underpriced and therefore a realistic target 5. Van Persie wrote:You don't often get such a connection [as with Ibra], maybe with 4-5 players in your entire career. I had the same with Fabregas

Big congratulations to the Ox who made his first England start overnight against Belgium. Played 67 mins before being replaced by Arsenal teammate Theo Walcott.
