Only thing Im concerned about with Sahin is Mourinho saying "if you go to Arsenal you'll never play for Real again". Which makes sense if we are still pushing for the option to buy, if he's quality, we'll sign him. If he's not, then I dont see him being good enough for Real. Comes down to what Real means to him...

Reports in Turkey that we have completed the loan signing of Sahin, and that the buy-out clause is 14m euros, so about 11m pounds which would be an excellent deal for a player like Sahin if he excels in England.
That's of course, if it's true.

Santos in a bit of trouble. Apparently tried to evade police in high speed pursuit
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Shortly after 9.30am on Friday August 17, a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop for police on the A1, near to Junction 22 of the M25.

Oh Andre
The story in the Sun is quite funny. I'd like to see how anyone could dodge in and out of rush hour traffic in London

First his team mates give him shit for driving a black & green smart car, then he gets a super car and the cops are on him. He should consider walking. Vermaelen took this photo and posted it on twitter iirc. Edited by Hinderz: 22/8/2012 07:29:12 PM

It's on the BBC anyway so it's definitely true. No.1 on the BBC in fact haha Edited by KenGooner_GCU: 22/8/2012 06:22:10 PM

But apparently the stuff about him going 130mph is an exaggeration by the press.

Still, it's possible if he lives in London and is driving towards London Colney. Fed up of these Sah-in Sah-out rumours, I can imagine deadline day shenanigans again... Also a rumour that we're going for Tiote, cracking player.

Another turn in the saga, looks like he's off to Liverpool after they offered a £5m loan fee plus £85kpw of his wages with a £14m option to buy (on top of loan fee) if Sahin decides he's not interested in CL. Disappointed not get a former Bundesliga player of the year but with Wilshere (basically the same type of player) coming back I can see that deal being too much for us when we'd still need a DM. Well done to Liverpool

Oh well, disappointing not to get him, but he was always a luxury signing. Would've been very very hard for us to keep him past this season anyway, and will be even harder for Liverpool to do it.

Anyway, back to team news for Stoke this weekend. Ox should be back in the squad for this weekend, but Koscielny will be out for one more week, should be back for Liverpool.
