Any truth to this? Any pace he might have lost doesn't seem to have hurt him that much. 16 goals in 28 league games last season and 22 in 35 the season before. Anyone who seriously worries about a supposed lack of pace plays too much FIFA and FM. True. Having said that, it is La Liga. You could put a retarded chicken or maybe even Fernando Torres at the point of Real Madrids attack in La Liga and they'd still score a dozen or so.

That article is almost word-for-word identical to what the Daily Mail have been punishing every 3-4 days for the last month

Seriously the only thing that changes are the transfer fee (anything from 20-30m) and the weekly wage (anything from 100-250,000/week) for Higuain. And EVERY TIME it's followed by some promise that Wenger is also about to sign Rooney on a contract that would make Sheikh Mansour's head spin.

Just been looking at our pre-season friendlies and one in particular stood out as odd. What do you think of the friendly v Man City on the eve of the season...? Seems odd... will also take a lot of attention away from the Charity Shield.
Really looking forward to this coming season. More so than any season in the past few years... hate to admit it but not having that beetroot at Utd is such a boost!
C'mon Wenger reclaim that aura you once had!

I think it's fair to say that all arsenal fans will welcome higua. I don't think there are any truth to the Rooney rumors, personally I wouldn't want him Part of the team anyway.
I'm interested to see how arsene will continue to strengthen the squad, I'm sure spurs will again push us all the way till the end of the season.

What do you guys make of these rumours suggesting we are interested in Luis Suarez?
On the one hand I consider him in the top ten greatest players in the world right now. But on the other hand I f***ing hate him. Really torn up if there's any truth to it.

Edited by neanderthal: 8/7/2013 09:58:02 AM I think it's a case of Arsenal saying to real Madrid "give us Higuain for closer to what we think he is worth or we will artificially drive up your fee for Suarez when you make a play for him"

There is no way Suarez will go to an English cub because he loves Liverpool, and the only thing linking him with a move away is that he hates the English media. My guess is that its just a slow news day and some sports writer got bored

He has a reputation to keep up as being the most spineless player in world football at the moment. And there's plenty more reason for him to move than just hating the English media. He's way too good to be missing out on CL football with a mid table club like Liverpool o:). Apparently he wants a move and is actually expected to get one this transfer window. Real Madrid being the favourites at this point.

You can call him a hell of a lot of things but spineless is absolutely not one of them. - Purposeful handball to knock Ghana out of the world cup who deserved to win. Not apologising and being proud of cheating being the spineless part about it. - Known as the most shameless diver in the EPL - Insults black player by calling him the N word. Doesn't apologise until the club forces him to. - Refuses to shake his hand. - Bites other players for no reason other than frustration of losing the ball... twice. Once in the Eredivisie and once in the EPL. - Punches player in the face for marking him during a corner when his team is losing. Yep. Strong character that Suarez.

Just finds it hard to manage his emotions at times. This Suarez stuff is all media hype IMO. The only club he would move to is Real, if they want him.

If it was just a matter of managing his emotional outbursts, then he would at least be man enough to apologise after these events. But he never does. Refusing to shake their hands is proof enough. Lot's of players who go on to turn on theur club and switch to their nearest rivals appeared to play with their heart beforehand. Personally I think Madrid should focus their efforts on getting Bale rather than Suarez. They've developed a bit of a bad image in the past few seasons with all of this eye poking, pushing managers, abusing the yellow cars system and getting into fights. Lui is just going to bring more controversy with him. Edited by neanderthal: 8/7/2013 12:45:26 PM
