What are yalls thoughts on what we should be chasing most?

It has to be the league, with the FA Cup close behind. Obviously we'd love to focus on everything, and in a perfect world that would work, but imo with where we are at the moment, and the run of league games we have coming up, the league should be our main focus. This is probably the one year I won't mind going out of the Champions League in the first knockout round.

...and ironically it'll be the first year in ages that we push on to at least the CL semi's.

Ask me after Feb 16. If we've dropped points to both Utd and Liverpool but have got past the Reds in the Cup (with that run still to come) then we should take a run at the FA Cup and do enough to maintain CL direct qualification (top 3 - that's an improvement in the league and also -hopefully- breaks the drought). If we get two wins in our next two matches then confidence will be up and we should look to push on (fielding slightly lower strength teams against Liverpool in the Cup and Bayern in the CL.

Will be watching this game, should be a good one for neutrals (although i'm slightly biased). Star attack versus a mean defence.

We should control and dominate, but if Oxlade starts centrally I'm not too sure we'll be able to get a grip on the game.

Arteta needs to step up again too, was MOTM when we played them last time, needs to replicate that.

Need to set up defensively to stop LFC running through you. Arsenal will win if they can control long periods of the game and stop Suarez/Sturridge/Henderson/Gerrard.

Stopped them once before this season no reason we can't do it again.

At Anfield though. I watched the Liverpool Cardiff game and their first half midfield control was outstanding without Gerrard.

Lucas Levia is out though isn't he?

Football can well and truly gagf. I am holding back on truly worrying until Thursday, if they can't respond from this and put in another abject performance than I will lost most hope.

The only way the players can make up for this is by beating United on Thursday and beating them well.

The only players who can come out of this with any sort of pride are Szczesny, who although conceded 5 goals still played really well and Jack who although he might not have played well he showed more fight than the other 9 outfield players put together.

I don't know what was going on with your midfield and defence. It was honestly like your midfield wasn't there every time we broke forward and there was at least one of SSS who were unmarked. Ridiculous.

Was a very similar situation to the City game. Concede hardly any goals in the games leading up to it and then concede 6, then concede hardly any goals in the games following it. Both games were all kinds of weird.

Don't worry too much about it Arsenal, Chelsea and City still have to come to Anfield :d

I thought Wilshire was awful. Backwards passing, stupid fouls. Maybe he was made to look better by how terrible Arteta was?

Jack holding his head high as more to do with his effort. Yeah he didn't have a great game, but at least he showed some fight and some fucking heart.

As for his stupid fouls, the one thing I will say is at least he didn't give any away in dangerous positions. Of the 3 fouls he committed 2 were deep in Liverpool's defensive half and the other was just inside our own half. They are silly because they relieve pressure, but I'd rather that than giving away fouls that put us under pressure.

As for the backwards passing, out of 75 attempted passes I counted 12 backwards which really isn't that horrible.
