We know Wenger doesn't overpay for players and if they're holding out for around 25mil (which is likely) I don't see the deal being done unless there's some kind of compromise. Potentially one of Gnabry or Campbell out on loan has been rumoured.

Not going to lie, wouldn't be that upset if this one went on until deadline day because if we address all of our needs and sign the players we want before deadline day it will feel like Wenger has taken our footballing Christmas away.

Chambers highly rated at CB by Soto coaches, will be our 4th choice CB and back up RB. Deal starting to make more sense now. Just need to secure Smalling or potentially Nastasic from the Vermaelan deal and we'll be laughing.

I almost feel bad picking up Ospina for like £3m :lol: it doesn't feel fair.

As for Chambers, excellent signing imo. As jlm mentioned provides depth at CB while allowing Jenks to go out on loan and get regular game time. I do like the idea of our right side potentially being set for the next decade or more with 2 young English players.

I can't help but think Schneiderlin will be really overpriced because Southampton has already lost so many players. So i'd be surprised if we got him.

Yeah I can definitely see Schneidelin not happening because Southampton will ask for something like £25m. I think £20m is as high as we'd go and even that would be a stretch I think.

The way I see it happening is we announce Chambers this week, we bring in another defender if TV goes and the DM, I think, will go right to the end of the window.
