Destroy Dortmund, acquire Klopp, Hummels and Reus.
Simple.

He is back
Really though, his friends should keep a close eye on him, he looks like he has just given up on life.

He got his tactics spot on for the first 85 minutes but the players let him down. Throwing everyone forward was a risk but one we had to take.
It cost you the second goal tho

This is about far more than this one game. This was one of our better performance against United but we still couldn't beat the worst United side I have ever seen. 1 win in our last 15 against them I think it is. It's got to the point where if the club wants to do anything other than just qualify for the Champions League Arsene has to go. I love the man for all he's done for the club, but unfortunately I can't see the club moving forward in terms of winning titles and trophies with him at the helm. I can't see us winning another league title with him at the helm, and forget the Champions League, no hope in hell of even having a chance to contend for that. The best we can hope for now if Arsene stays on is Champions League qualification and maybe another cup run if we get a little bit of luck and Chelsea and City get knocked out earlier. It's got the point where we've conditioned ourselves into thinking that Champions League qualification is enough. It's now over 10 years since we've won a title and we've barely ever even been contending for the title going into the final run in. Hate to say it but Arsene has gone past the point of no return with most of the fan base and there is no coming back from it. Imo the only way he redeems himself this season is by winning the Champions League, which of course we know won't happen.

Wenger was correct in the team structure and selections... they didn't finish.
However, as has happened too many times before he has failed to come up with a plan B. It's almost as if he must've said at half time we've done well keep going... that's fine if in isolation that approach fails on one occassion but it is now repeatedly failing. Naturally the play becomes stretched as we push on for an equaliser (after another unfortunate own goal)
It was at that point that I believe he needed to change the system to 3-5-2. The three means we are protected at the back, the 5 means we maintain our midfield dominance and our full-backs become wing back to provide the width to our attacks and we add Giroud (hold up) to Welbeck (direct) for stronger attacking intent. Sure it means we have to sacrifice Cazorla for Giroud and the Ox has to play with greater awareness of what's behind him but that's is how we would've changed things and not been exposed for the the late cheap Rooney goal (which he always seems to score) which is what ultimately lost us the game. Giroud earlier might actually have won us the game.
Essentially I agree. Because Wenger will not adapt he has to go...

It's pretty hard to enjoy football right now being an Arsenal and Roar fan :(. It's so frustrating to watch us play at the moment, I don't understand how we are so defensively naive year after year.

It's been hard for years and thought it may have turned the corner last season, with arsenal at least, when we won the fa cup.

In the end probably not the worst thing for Giroud to sit out these last 2 group games anyway. You'd like to think we have enough to get at least a point from our last 2 games.

That's more like it. So fucking happy for Sanogo getting his first goal, and probably should have had a 2nd. Imo by far Santi's best game of the season. Running out of superlatives for Alexis and Ox is quickly turning into one of our best players, if that shot that hit the var had gone in, wow.
Most impressive thing about this performance was the way we killed the game after going 2-0 up, was so satisfying to see. Also maybe some indication that the players are finally settling and getting used to the 4-1-4-1 the last 2 games.

The only annoying thing about killing the game once we got the second is that without a third, our chances of sneaking into top spot are greatly diminished.
