Di Maria was hounded out of his last club to make way for a Ligue 1 player and has more contributions at this part of the season than Di Maria will have for the entirety of the season.

Think a lot of that is to do with the timing of the misses. Giroud's came at 1-0 down and would have changed the game while Sanchez's came when we were already 3-0 down.

Di Maria has beaten up the little teams and disappeared in every big match he's been in. Sanchez was replaced by the 3rd best player in the world, only Messi and Ronaldo wouldn't be classified as excess baggage with your logic. If Sanchez was excess baggage, what does that make Di Maria who was replaced by an above average Ligue 1 player :-k Edited by jlm8695: 7/12/2014 11:57:31 PM

He was MOTM in the CL Final of all games so he's got no problems playing in big occasions, he'll come good Plays in Ligue 1 so he mustn't be any good  I wouldn't call him world class but he's still decent. In any case Madrid's transfer strategy doesn't always have football in mind

No comments on here yet about the Wenger abuse as he boarded the train in Stoke.
Disgraceful. They are not Arsenal fans/supporters. If you want him out find a way to picket the board... start a petition/write letters etc. Wenger is trying to coach the team and I'll support him until he's no longer coaching our team.

The thing that gets me about that lot and the sort of morons you see on things like Arsenal Fan TV (I don't watch that crap by choice but people keep linking me to it and once I start watching it the masochist inside of me won't let me stop), is not their total lack of respect or common decency (not to say it's not utterly reprehensible), but the fact that they seem to have literally nothing else in life. Seriously, go get laid, learn a musical instrument, take up knitting, I don't know! How can someone's life be so fucking empty that they get so angry over the fucking football? Some of these people look as if they should be on suicide watch.
I had a dream last night, Champions League final, Alexis scores the winner against Chelsea in the dying minutes. Players snub the fans and celebrate by piling on top of Arsene instead. During the post match celebrations, Alexis goes over to the crowd and a group of fans give him the 'In Arsene we trust' banner and he holds it up and parades it in front of the Arsenal end before draping it over Arsene who just walks on quietly, quite embarrassed with all the attention, just waving to the crowd with that delightfully coy smile on his face. It was glorious, I woke up with a hard-on.

So Hull at home in the 3rd round. Not the worst draw, and at least it's at home.
We haven't actually played a proper cup away game, not including the semi and final last season for nearly 2 years . Last away game we had was Brighton in 2012/13 on January 26 2013.

This is apparently our bench for Galatasaray. No real surprises considering there's almost no chance of finishing 1st unless Anderlecht beat Dortmund which won't happen.

This is apparently our side for Galatasaray. Only thing that matters is Debuchy being back. Although also be interesting to see Campbell get a start as well as Ox in the middle it seems.

Hoping for Monaco or Porto, especially Monaco. We'll probably get Bayern or Real.

Can't see us getting anyone but Bayern

Statistically speaking, Bayern is the most likely option.

As long as we avoid Real or Bayern we have a decent chance of going through. Would prefer Monaco or Porto but as long as it's someone different and not Barca or Bayern I won't be to upset.
