April 26th is going to be a sad day when Cesc comes back to the Emirates.
One part of me hopes he gets a decent reception and we win the game.
The other part of me hopes he gets booed and jeered and Coq 2 foots him.

Not enough fuss has been made of Michael Owen claiming Sterling is better than Ozil. You know you've said something monumentally stupid when Piers Morgan is making you look like a dickhead.

I obviously don't want Coquelin to 2 foot him, but putting in a strong (but completely fair tackle) on him early on should hopefully snap me out of the mindset that he's still one of us  Fredsta wrote:Not enough fuss has been made of Michael Owen claiming Sterling is better than Ozil. Not much to say really. To compare an overrated winger to one of the best players in the world and current world champion Mesut Ozil is just silly. That said, Owen has said that we'd not finish in the top 4 for the past couple of years whilst insisting Rodgers is a better manager than Wenger, that Sanchez only signed for us due to location and that Liverpool have a better team than us. Utterly deluded he is.

He has similar potential to Alex Oxlade Chamberlain who would be at the same level if it wasn't for injuries. It would also mean bye bye Theo, who I think would offer more to our squad than Razza. Would be nice to see Imno flip shit though (it's already started  )

I don't think I would want him at United either but I would love it just for the hate he would get from their fans. If he moves somewhere in England, it will be pretty funny to watch unfold.

Still one of (if not the best) finishes I've ever seen.

In other news. Miki, Jack, Abou and Debuchy all available for Burnley

He's been terrible on the injury front since moving from Florence. I mean he's only 25 but City paid 22 million pounds for him. I can't see him fetching much more than half of that. His salary is also probably in excess of 5 mil a year, not many clubs can afford him.

Probably wishful thinking but if Matic and Cesc both get yellows against QPR they will miss Chelsea's games against United and us. Add that to Costa being out already and maybe just maybe.

Can't ask for much more than that. No matter what it will always feel weird going into the last part of a game 1-0 up and feeling comfortable.
8 wins in a row, first time we've done that since the Invincibles did it in 2004
Coquelin just amazing again, I mean a new he had some talent, but never thought he was capable of a run of form like this.
The fact that we are even being considered as putting pressure on Chelsea is amazing considering the season we've had.

If my calculations are correct then 26 April is the earliest possible time for St Totteringham's Day this season... My personal predo is that it'll happen with a win v Hull on Mon 4 May.
These later finishes to the EPL season coupled with our Cup run are pushing this annual date back every year.
Oh well, I'll have to let the missus know that our annual home-made lasagne will have to wait a bit longer...

If you're into history repeating itself or omens and shit like that, well the last time we beat Burnley at home in the league we won the title and beat Liverpool in the FA Cup Final ;)

If nothing else last night proved why Nacho is our undisputed first choice LB now over Gibbs.
Just imagine thinking Sterling is better than Özil
Feel a bit sorry for Szczesny, not sure there was a whole lot he could do about the goal with the deflection he took, if the same thing had happened to Ospina don't think he would have got anywhere near as much criticism.

Agree about szc nothing he could do about the goslgoal. He is rusty and low on confidence. He needs to prove to wenger why he made him his no 1 and buckle down and fight for his spot.
