And the big news...
--------------Reina Kelly--Carra--Skrtel--Konchesky ------Spearing-Poulsen Babel------Shelvey----Jovanovic --------------Ngog
Reliable poster on RAWK. STOKED to see Shelvey in!! Still think we'll get destroyed though.

0-0 draw is probably the best we could have hoped for. It's not a bad result in the end.

I was just amazed at how crap Napoli was! They showed us waaay too much respect. If they put us under pressure they could have destroyed us 3-4 to 0.

Yeah, so after watching the game, here are my thoughts
Reina was quiet Kelly got forward well but final ball was poor. Good prospect though Skrtel was a tank, my MOTM Carra was decent Konchesky was crap, struggled big time. Poulsen was decent Spearig was good Jova impressed me, did some good stuff. Babel was shocking until late on, and even then only average Shelvey looks a good prospect Ngog was good

They , as you said, seemed to show us too much respect. This is a game they should have won, by many as well.

Quote:Roy Hodgson to Liverpool: You'll have to sack me because I'll never quit Roy Hodgson has come out fighting after rumours surrounding his future at Liverpool, saying he will never quit the club.
Liverpool coach Roy Hodgson has said he won't quit as Anfield boss (AP) ..With the Reds second-bottom of the league, Hodgson’s position was the subject of frenzied speculation before the creditable draw at Napoli on Thursday.
One major bookmaker even suspended the market on who will be the next Premier League manager to be sacked at one point, with Dutchman Frank Rijkaard becoming odds-on favourite to replace Hodgson.
But, after a Liverpool team missing Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres held the side who are fourth in Serie A, Hodgson said: ‘Resignation has never entered my thoughts and never will.
‘I pride myself on being a fighter. I’m here for the long haul.’
Rijkaard’s agent had earlier issued a denial his client had been approached by Liverpool following the dramatic change in the betting markets.
Hodgson added: ‘That’s what bookies do. It doesn’t bother me one bit.’
His cause will have been aided by a resolute performance in Italy, although that will count for little should they not beat Blackburn at Anfield on Sunday.
Liverpool withstood long periods of pressure to stay top of Group K and could have won it when Ryan Babel had a late chance saved by Napoli keeper Morgan de Sanctis.
The closest the home side came was when Marek Hamsik’s shot was cleared off the line by Paul Konchesky.
...Mutual consent it is then! :P

Really looking forward to the Blackburn game.
It's a big chance to turn it all around. I'm not saying I expect us too, because we have been playing crap, but if we get out there and play high tempo and pressure, we could come away with a big win.
I hope that Poulsen doesn't play.
----Torres---Ngog Cole-Gerrard-Meireles-Jova Kon--Skrtel--Soto--Carra ------------Pepe
Something like that. I really hope we play two up top.

Hindsight lulz. Quote:Kuyt is already back in training Fucking crazy aye? I have no idea how he does it. Must have a crazy pain threshold or something. Worried about the Blackburn game. I can see Roy taking them for granted like he did with Napoli. I reckon he'll be sacked if we don't win this one. We've won just one of our last nine games and even if we DO win this game, we'll still be stuck in 18th.

Heard from the usual reliable sources that this is the team:
-----------torres----------- -----------gerrard--------- cole--lucas--meireles--Maxi kon---skrtel---soto---Carra ------------Pepe
Stoked that he has realised that Poulsen is shit, but a shame that it's still only one up top. Aurelio may be in for Kon, but that should be the only possible change from that.

The team in full is: Reina, Aurelio, Carragher. Kyrgiakos, Skrtel, Lucas, Meireles, Maxi, Cole, Gerrard, Torres. Subs: Jones, Jovanovic, Babel, Ngog, Poulsen, Shelvey, Kelly.
It is Aurelio after all. But everything else as predicted.
