Maybe it isn't the players, maybe the fans need to realise that Liverpool are going through a phase of rebuilding and won't be challenging for anything any time soon with Man City and Spurs having overtaken them in the top 4 race and even Sunderland look better than them. For any player at the moment all those teams are a step up and to get angry because a player wants to further his career is just sad.

WE GET IT. We are aware of everything you are saying. Nobody is saying that we are going to be top 4 this year, or the one after. That's not the point here. Nothing to do with it.

I used to like you, but when it comes to Pool you are a twat. Nobody goes out of their way to troll any other club except Liverpool.

Sunderland are playing decidedly average. If you watched out last three games, we've been playing excellent football. As I said, if we'd beaten Blackpool and Wolves, we'd be in contention for the Champions League still. So to say that we're in a 'rebuilding phase' because of two games just goes to show how off with the faries you actually are. Hell, if two bad results is enough to go through a 'rebuilding phase' then every team except Manchester United is going through it.

You were not playing fantastic against Blackpool ffs. You beat Wolves wow, well done do you want a Premiership trophey for it?

It is sad that you can't even admit that your team is rebuilding when 2 seasons ago you were in the ECL challenging for the EPL title and now you are 9 points behind Chelsea in 4th and they have a game in hand.

We're are building for better things but you need a foundation, and a good person to build a club around is a fucking mid-20s world cup winning spanish international you fucking dumb twat.

It would be three points if we'd beat Blackpool and Wolves, two teams we've shown we can beat. We haven't capitalised on our chances, and who'd expect us to with the clubs future constantly in doubt for THREE MONTHS of the season.

But all this is irrelevant when it comes down to it. Torres' approach has been nothing short of embarrassing. He's asked for a transfer TWO DAYS before the MID SEASON transfer window closes. If he'd waited until the end of the season, people wouldn't have cared, they'd have said "on with you son, so long and thanks for all the fish". But when you're jumping ship to a rival team in this manner "to win trophies", when Chelsea aren't even in contention for silverware, one can't help but think of Michael Owen.

Why would a mid 20's world cup winning, Spanish international want to be at a team that most likely wont play in Europe AT ALL next season?

But that's never going to happen, because Liverpool are obviously going to get relegated - you know, because that's what NESV spent 300m investing in, an championship level side with a world cup winning striker and one of the best (if not THE best) keepers in england.

Don't let the truth get in the way of a good story now, bonkers.

There in better contention than you to win silverware this season. They are only 10 points behind Man U.

So if the clubs future is your reasoning for this season what is your excuse for last seasons abysmal performances? Roy Hodgson is my guess and you will completely ignore how average your squad is other than Reina, Gerrard, Torres and Meirless.

This isn't about the new owners or club direction. This is about a player who is much better than your club wanting to move on to a level he should be playing at.

Hmmmmmmm...I see your point, why would a player want to play for a club that's building a side around him? To get the best out of him with the intent of winning trophies?

How can you possibly say what's going to happen by the end of this season, let alone next season? While you're looking into your crystal ball, would you mind telling us all this weekend's winning lottery numbers? I could use a holiday.

You actually think Liverpool have the ability to win a trophy any time soon? Let alone a trophy Torres would want like and ECL or an EPL?

Why would he stay at Liverpool when he knows that the chances of them winning a trophy in his playing career are minute? Hell I would be willing to slap a $50 on Leeds to win something before Liverpool do.

The Birmingham argument is weak like all your arguments when you know you are wrong but you just can't admit it.

I can see your sense of humor is turned on to day.

IMO, we are in a rebuilding phase, but are not many signings away from getting back to where we were in 09.

If we can keep Torres, good. Then I'd opt for a very good CB and a FB. Johnson should have been taught to play on the wing years ago, because he stinks up the joint when defending.

Agger and Skrtl havent really taken the next step up from being back ups. Maybe Agger's got a bit more promise to him, but he still comes undone a bit too easy for my liking.

With some smart wheeling and dealing, theres no reason why we cant be a genuine top 4 challenger next season. But when was the last time we were able to come out on top in the transfer window?

Can you prove to me without a shadow of a doubt that Liverpool won't win a single trophy in the next 16 months? Any time between now and next May, anything can happen. We've got new owners, new investment, we've just signed one of Europes top marksmen to support Torres, we've got Gerrard coming back from suspension and our defence is finally finding some kind of form.

I'll double that bet. $100 that Liverpool win a top flight trophy (the championship doesn't count) before Leeds do. You're talking about a club that has a reputation for bouncing back from adversity and that's won more trophies than you've had hot dinners (metaphorically speaking).

The Birmingham argument is no more or less relevant than your speculation about Liverpool's capacity to win trophies over the next 16 months. And you know it.

Tbh, I don't know why I'm still arguing with you, you're clearly just a bitter twat.

Kjaer + Coentrao. 20m. We're back in business.

RB isn't an issue with how much Martin Kelly has stepped up this season. They're talking about him being in the next england squad.

The few times I've seen him, he's impressed. I guess I'd be happy for him to stay as you do get the feeling that its only a matter of when, and not if with him.

Making the England squad now would be massive for the kid. Has Coleman from Everton made the Ireland first team yet? He also looks the goods.

We're second favourite to win the Europa League behind City. As the squad strengthens, I'll be you that we'll be competing for a 4th place finish by the end of the season. We might not get it, but given that there's five months or so to go it'd be foolish to write us off. I don't know if foolish is your game, but given that you've spent

Especially seeing as we just bought Suarez and there's other deals on the cards that you don't know about because you're spending the time you could be reading trying to tell people who don't really care what you think that we're shit.

Funnily enough, we have the same kind of recent form as Chelsea. Just because they started the season with stability, that doesn't mean that Torres is going to find it there. I could name countless strikers who've left what they thought were worse clubs, trying to find some kind of success but who completely failed to have it work out for them. Torres could be no different.

Blood, sweat and tears?

Lulz. He's good, but his level of effort in the past year has been utterly pathetic.

Daily Mirror have a 60m bid in the rumours:

Suarez is unproven outside of Holland. Heard of Huntelaar and Alves just to name 2 from very recent seasons. Anyone to say Ronaldo now is going to show there lack of knowledge as the Eredivise has dropped horribly in quality since the glory days. Suarez may end up doing well but agains 26 million for someone from a league of proven flop strikers once they leave is a ridiculous transfer.

Going to Chelsea isn't about form ffs it is about better money at a bigger club who have a chance to win things.

Challenging for 4th

Newcastle and Stoke have a game in hand and better GD than you. You could very well be 9th in a few weeks time. Sunderland and still 6 points clear of you in 6th and they are actually playing well. You get a lucky draw against Everton and beat Wolves and all of a sudden you think you can challenge for 4th

Every time I see him run out, he impresses me more and more. His performance v Wolves (albeit that it was Wolves) was brilliant. Every move he made was spot on and he hardly put a foot wrong all game. My money would be on him, rather than Richards as the next england RB.

Coleman isn't eligible for England yet. Needs two more years, and I think Ireland will snap him up by then.

If by "blood sweat and tears" you mean "had the club stick by him while he was on the injury table for months at a time" then yeah, that's exactly what he gave. I'd love to see stories that Ashley made a 5m bid, it would show what a right tit Newcastle are.

Don't let that World Cup Golden Ball nomination get in the way of a good story, Dizzy.

Alves has failed ourside of Holland. But Huntelaar still has a very respectable record with all his clubs bar Milan. He still had bette rthan a 1-180min ratio for all his goals since leaving Holland.

And what about Van Basten, Van Nistelrooy, Bergkamp, Van Persie, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic and Kuyt who all stepped up from the dutch leagues to become quality players across europe. To write Suarez off as a waste of money before he's even kicked a ball in anger in england is just...well fucking stupid.

LOL unproven outside Holland?

I think we're done here. What a clunge you are. :D

Sorry did I miss his first stint in EPL?

No Huntelaar has a 1 - 270~ goal ratio compared to his almost 1:1 in Holland and he is a better player than Suarez.

Nobody has written him off just the fact of the matter is Liverpool paid way to much for a player from a league which has in the last few years had a reputation for overrated strikers. Do I need to say it slower for the Scousers?

No, but you might have missed his Uruguayan national title, his European games and his 38 international appearances. You may have been wanking, so that's an acceptable excuse.

1, Your attempt at an insult was poor.
2. Huntelaar.
3. Alves
4. Kezman

Do you want me to keep naming strikers from the Dutch leagues for you who have flopped outside of Holland because I can go for quite a while.

El Hamadaoui
Kuyt (122 goals in 262 games to 40 in 160)
Machlas
Litmanen

The only strikers of the last 20 years to keep there level of scoring up are Bergkamp, van Nistelrooy and Ronaldo.

I'm giving up. Now that it's gotten to the point where you are using Kuyt as an example of a 'failure' from the Eredivise shows just how biased against Liverpool you are.

As a striker he has failed he has gone from a goal every 2 games to one every 3. It appears this season has started to drive the Scousers so mad that they are creating a smug cloud over Liverpool.
