I read £10m for borini which is exceptional business if true seeing as we bought for £11m and he scored 3 in 38...
The diamond would be a risk against United's midfield. We could be overrun.

imno - showing that Lovren classy moments is not good :) after being reminded of the blunders bench sitter for sure. Agree, hoping Hendo is back. Maybe Lallana having not started is primed to turn up next game. Saw the Borini news this morn, 4yr deal $8m transfer, thought the same but he tried his butt off to stay, obviously had to give in.

I think we need Lucas but that means Can misses out which is a shame. Benteke Firmino and the last attacking spot up for grabs. Ibe and Lallana have both been underwhelming. At the back bring in Sakho Lovren was horrible but the whole team was below par. Hopefully Hendo is fit for united. Wouldn't mind if we went with a diamond with Ings and Benteke up front. In other news, Borini off to Sunderland - why he didn't just go last year is beyond me.

Agree on Sakho, I just wished for Lovren to get his mojo as whilst with the Saints so as we finally have a sound pairing but it just may not turn out ? Who knows but in saying that replace with Sakho - our best option. As for the next game at OT, I differ, both clubs and players know what this game means regardless where on the table/form. This game will be dynomite - one of the fixtures of the season, may not be top shelf football at present but edge of the seat viewing for sure.

Edited by Harrison84: 30/8/2015 02:03:05 PM Well, I feel half ok after last nights result as well, only 2 clubs in the top half of the table went up (Toffees and Saints) all the rest went down ! Sure is a crazy start to the season barring citeh. We equal 7th are 5 points adrift. I agree having had hope of Lovren picking up his game I expect dropped and Sakho brought in. Maybe give Ilori a start up. Losing the Cout is a crying shame - soft decision but thats how it goes, Firmino has to step up I expect. Well, our next opponent didn't come off any better last night, going to be a big one at OT. Really curious what our line up will be next. Save ilori for the cups. We have a French first choice centre back in our side who starts ahead of koscielny, zouma, and mangala to name but a few. Let's give him the fair chance and run of games he deserves to build a bit of consistency for us.... The United game will be fascinating although based on both teams so far it sure won't be an exquisite game of football.... It's a shame we've got an international break between now and then... Glad I just signed up for BeIN sports so should have matches to watch over the weekend but it doesn't change the sh1tness of the break. Edited by Harrison84: 31/8/2015 06:43:00 PM

The one positive I can take away from that game is it should mean we don't see Lovren on the pitch for quite some time. Sakho, straight back in for sure. Our performance at left back was also a concern. Gomez lacking a left foot is very easy to read that he will cut back inside. And then Moreno came on and could've done better for the third goal.... In attack we were about as average as against Bournemouth, but this time the result was amplified by 3 defensive errors and an overall erratic defensive display.

Horrible performance, just poor all over.
Coutinho's send off was harsh, not much he could do with Payet spinning in to him like that. Must said something pretty bad to get a yellow too.
Not sure where the team that played Arsenal went but hopefully they turn up in 2 weeks.

Dejan Lovren. Deary me. People are so quick to say '£20 million lol!' But he was great at Southampton but since the move he has been really poor.

Also did you guys know the Europa league counts the same amount towards the Uefa league coefficients as the champions league? And that this year if Italy performs better or equal to England across the Europa and Champions leagues the EPL will lose its 4th champions league place to Italy?
LFC have a big interest in performing well not only because it's a major European trophy but because it will help keep that 4th place alive....
Edited by Harrison84: 29/8/2015 12:51:33 PM I agree, we need to take it seriously. Great experience, even though the games are Thursday nights if we want to be a top 4 team we need a squad that can handle more than a game a week. Plus, the winner qualifies for the UCL as well. Didn't know that England was in danger of losing the 4th spot. I guess Juve's efforts in the last couple years added with 2 Italian teams in the Europa semis last year has had a big impact.

Moreno butchered your best chance of stealing 3 points from Arsenal. Had Benteke left and can't remember who on the right both clean through and he took an extra (heavy) touch.
Would have been glorious to have scored then and watch ArseANAL lose it.

Cup game is a 3rd round game week starting Sept 21. First up is finishing off with a win before the International break vsing Hammers at home on the 29th. They'll be up for it after their last 2 loss's. I again don't expect any changes unless someone got an injury that has got worse since the arse game OR BR decides to finally give a start up run to Firmino/Can ?

I've kept saying Gomez ahead of Moreno, only 3 games, not bad starting at the top on stats :) Long way to go but great start.
Capital One Cup game against Carlisle at home. When? Will be good for markovic, origi, ings to get some game time under their belt....

That would be like leicester still being in second place at round 38. But the point remains that he's kicking a bit of ass at the minute!
