If hendos fit same line up otherwise Can is the only change I'd make. Not enough credit given to lallana imo. Does a lot of running and tracks back for 60 minutes so Coutinho doesn't have to.
Unless we win, next week is when I'd start making changes

Read yesterday that Hendo definitely will miss, so you'd assume Can will start. Agree that Firmino should be given his starting debut in place of Lallana. I'd think about starting Moreno over Gomez too. Not that Gomez has done anything wrong, but just need that bit more experience against Arsenal. Ings ahead of Ibe.
Mignolet Clyne Skrtel Lovren Moreno Can Milner Ings Coutinho Firmino Benteke

Sound 1st half ! Shame couldn't hit the back of the net. Gomez for 18 doing so well. Well done Mignolet great work. Oh my god that break late in the game down the right flank and early cross where Skrtl lashed to intercept - buy a lottery ticket for that one :) What a shame Moreno decided to keep carrying on :( We sure deserved the point.

Happy to take a point at the Emirates. Both sides should have scored, both keepers had great games. Agree with you M.L. - Gomez for 18 is outstanding. I honestly thought he would be overcome by Arsenal but I was wrong. May have tired out towards the end, but he continues to impress.
How much of a beast is Benteke? Imagine when Sturridge is back?

Happy with the draw, haven't watched the game (3am kick-off here in Perth) but will tonight. From the highlights looked as if it could have easily been 3-3.
Nice to see Coutinho, Firmino and Benteke linking up well and the defense getting another clean sheet.
Good thing is that we don't need to rush Sturridge back when he is fit, we can take our time and hopefully he can stay healthy a bit longer.

Big difference to last season that I've noticed from the first few games, is that we can actually defend a lot better collectively. Most of our midfielders have been good at tracking back and reducing pressure on the defence, but our defence has been so shaky over the last few years it's not funny.
This morning though in the second half we were able to sit back when the pressure was on and hit Arsenal on the break. Apart from the attacking play in the first half that was one of the more pleasing aspects of the performance.

Very happy with the performance. Looking better.
Midfield 3 looked fantastic, I think Can has to start. Lucas did very well too.
Firmino is going to be excellent. Benteke has allayed my fears he's much more than a target man. Coutinho so unlucky, brilliant save from Cech.
Gomez has been fantastic too. Love it. 3 pts next week crucial.

A lot of people thinking that was a goodbye wave from Lucas when he went off.

Hope not.
For the 3rd game running #LFC attempted fewer crosses than they averaged per game last season... #benteke
#LFC have created three Opta-defined clear-cut chances this season; all have been from crosses to Benteke.

I'd be ok with Lucas leaving if we sign a better player in replacement. If there is no upgrade available we should absolutely keep the guy! He always does a good job.

Balo in Milan having a medical, really hoped he would work out for us but not to be.

If he's still there after 38 games and not 3 then I'll be impressed.

That would be like leicester still being in second place at round 38. But the point remains that he's kicking a bit of ass at the minute!

TBH watching Lucas come off had that kind of look about it - as mentioned hope not he has been sound for us every single game he's played, 276 !, only 28. I've kept saying Gomez ahead of Moreno, only 3 games, not bad starting at the top on stats :) Long way to go but great start. Capital One Cup game against Carlisle at home.

Cup game is a 3rd round game week starting Sept 21. First up is finishing off with a win before the International break vsing Hammers at home on the 29th. They'll be up for it after their last 2 loss's. I again don't expect any changes unless someone got an injury that has got worse since the arse game OR BR decides to finally give a start up run to Firmino/Can ?

Moreno butchered your best chance of stealing 3 points from Arsenal. Had Benteke left and can't remember who on the right both clean through and he took an extra (heavy) touch.
Would have been glorious to have scored then and watch ArseANAL lose it.

Very winnable group. I will be very disappointed if we don't make a big statement in the Europa league this year. It's great European experience for our relatively young inexperienced squad and it's a reasonable shot at a trophy.
Also did you guys know the Europa league counts the same amount towards the Uefa league coefficients as the champions league? And that this year if Italy performs better or equal to England across the Europa and Champions leagues the EPL will lose its 4th champions league place to Italy?
LFC have a big interest in performing well not only because it's a major European trophy but because it will help keep that 4th place alive....

Edited by Harrison84: 29/8/2015 12:51:33 PM I agree, we need to take it seriously. Great experience, even though the games are Thursday nights if we want to be a top 4 team we need a squad that can handle more than a game a week. Plus, the winner qualifies for the UCL as well. Didn't know that England was in danger of losing the 4th spot. I guess Juve's efforts in the last couple years added with 2 Italian teams in the Europa semis last year has had a big impact.

Dejan Lovren. Deary me. People are so quick to say '£20 million lol!' But he was great at Southampton but since the move he has been really poor.
