Thought I'd post something up for those of you worried about Warrior Quote:`Spot the odd one out: Nike, adidas, Umbro, Warrior, Reebok. Warrior? Who are they? The chances are you have never heard of Liverpool’s new shirt manufacturer and unless you are a fan of lacrosse or know the NHL inside out, you will not be not alone. In the United States, Warrior is a manufacturer to be reckoned with, providing equipment and clothing in ice hockey and lacrosse, America’s oldest sport. In 2004 the company was bought by New Balance, which retained the founder, Dave Morrow, as president and chief executive officer. Morrow, a lacrosse player, founded Warrior in his Princeton dormitory where he developed the first titanium stick, which the university used en route to their National Championship that year. Warrior was taken from Morrow’s High School American football team in his home town of Michigan, the Brother Rice Warriors. The buyout took Warrior to new heights and in April this year, New Balance signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with the Boston Red Sox baseball team. As part of the deal, the Red Sox have unveiled a video sign at Fenway Park, measuring 70 feet in length and 7ft 9in in height, featuring the New Balance logo. and the company now provides footwear and clothing to all “fan-facing Red Sox employees”. New Balance had been happy to sponsor athletes while refraining from using them for advertising. The high-profile acquisitions of a handful of the Red Sox players now sponsored by New Balance is a sign that things are changing. After worldwide sales of $1.78 billion (about £1 billion), the company has changed tack and will take a more proactive approach to its marketing. Liverpool are a logical step. Warrior remains a company in its own right, but until now has shown no signs of spreading its interest outside traditional sports. Mike Modana of the Detroit Red Wings is among the biggest names on Warrior’s roster. Liverpool will hope this particular deal allows their title dreams to take flight.

So, how about that!!
Very happy for Maxi to get that hattrick on his reintroduction to the team... Suarez was absolutely brilliant. He is just superb on the ball. Lucas once again was fucking IMMENSE, absolutely bossed the midfield. Just a top game.
Robinson and Flanno did fantastically well again. I'm so happy!
Only 4 pts behind Citeh... I know they have games in hand, but we can do it. Belief!

If only we'd played like we had in the last three games ALL SEASON. Another excelelnt performance.
I think we've actually galvanized with Gerrard out which is a great sign because we used to fall apart.

I think City will probably draw wiht Everton, but other than that, look at their away form and that they've got 2 points from their last 6 on the road and travel to Blackburn and Bolton (both potentiall tough assignments), it's not too far a stretch of the imagination.
But then, we're old romantics.

Looking at the table since Dalgish took over, we're 3rd. That's super impressive considering there's essentially been no Gerrard or Carroll, pre-season or much ability use the transfer market.
Has the aura similar to Fergerson too, so may not need the superstars from 1-23 like a Chelsea or Man City are able to get.

Quote:or much ability use the transfer market. To be fair, he still spent 57m. Pepe Reina wrote:"I am happy, calm and comfortable here. [I am] looking towards the future which I reckon will bring a lot of happiness and hopefully the new project with the new American owners [Fenway Sports Group] will be a convincing one.
"Obviously [Rafael] Benitez brought me here but that doesn't mean that I'm unhappy with [Kenny] Dalglish, quite the opposite. I think he's the ideal man for Liverpool at this moment.
"It's my understanding, and based on what I've gathered from the people here, that we will be bringing in some important players, continuing to grow and hopefully in one or two years we will be in the place that Liverpool deserves to be, which is fighting for titles."
"I am not going to Manchester, that is not my intention. I don't know if I am a candidate for them; I am sure that they have evaluated a lot of goalkeepers, not just [David] De Gea or Reina." Off skysportsGood signs. Edited by afromanGT: 27/4/2011 07:22:48 PM

TBH as much as I rate Reina as a keeper I wouldn't want him at United. He suits Liverpool, and I'd much prefer somebody like Neuer or Adler.

Just heard that Kenny is very very keen on Sylvain Marveaux. Has been injury prone in the past. Even so I think he can be good for us. Thoughts? I know you guys have some!!

There was talk that Marveaux had already been signed on a free transfer about a month back. I don't know if there's any truth to that. I think we should be aiming higher than a second rate frog. He'd make a decent squad player, but he'd be no different to Albert Riera.

More reports came out the other day that he has signed.
Strength in depth has always been an issue, and if he can chip in with a few goals he'll be a useful signing. On a free, so as long as his wages aren't silly, I'd be happy.

He's probably going to get more games than Cole at any rate. Not necessarily a bad deal, but I'd expect us to be making bigger moves is what I was saying.

Some shambolic defending helped too ;) Good game from the lads. Everybody played really well and put in a good shift. Great to be in up in 5th. Big game against spurs at Anfield in a few weeks. Belief!

We can put in some brilliant performances but have head snaps. To be fair though that first goal was a bit of luck on Maxi's part. Krul and Foster will be a good battle for the #1 jersey next season two of the most talented young keepers in the world.

How far away are they from 4th? I don't want my bet to come true
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Just need to make sure we don't slip up away to Fulham or Villa. Though we might be able to and still get up, if they drop points v Citeh. If Citeh don't win here tonight, we might even be in with a shout for 4th. But I think that is a bridge too far.

Or, to only make 5 pts from their remaining games. Could win tonight and draw v Bolton for example. Assuming we take maximum points.
