Covers the ground very well too. Very excited to see him and Luis working in tandem next year, with another quality player in behind. Defenders wont know what to do with themselves.

This is why I can seem him going somewhere else outside the top 6 where he will be playing week in week out and will be a focal point of the midfield. I don't know if he'd be willing to be a benchwarmer at Pool.

[quote=imnofreak]I can't wait to see him back to full fitness next season. He's looked a bit lethargic but I remember from his Newcastle days, he's actually pretty quick, in terms of pace and feet.quote]
I think a pre-season will do him the world of good. Plus the fact he is mising the world cup. He will be in the senior squad for a few years to come so nwill get a run there.

Pretty much off the top of my head. It really is silly season
The ones of those who I think are definite possibilities are Enrique, Adam, Diego, Downing, Mata, Marveaux, Ayew, Jones. Not saying we'll sign all of them but I won't be surprised if any one of those arrives.
Personally I'd LOVE us to sign Coentrao.
-----------------Carroll------------- ----Mata--------------------Suarez---- -----------Gerrard----Meireles--------- ------------------Lucas------------- Coentrao---Skrtel----Carra---Johnson ------------------Reina------------
Wow. Of course maybe replace one of the CBs with a new signing but... wow.
Gives us quality subs too.
Dagger, Kelly, Aqua, Marveaux, Kuyt, Maxi, Adam. As an example.
Edited by imnofreak: 27/5/2011 10:42:39 AM Thats a fair team in itself with the players linked to us. I think we will go after the following: GK - Freidel CB - Scott Dann LB - Enrique W1 - Downing W2 - Mata W3 - Marveaux CM - Adam ST - Aguero Probably won't happen - maybe i'm just dreaming - but hey...

I really don't think we'll sign Friedel... unless it's with a view to coach in a year or two.
Dann is a distinct possibility, as is Enrique.
I think Marveaux will come, maybe Payet instead.
Mata would be an awesome signing, and one i'm feeling strangely confident about.
I don't think Aguero will come.
Diego seems to be one of the names I'm reading a lot about too, might be bringing him in.
If we signed Diego and Adam, we'd have so many epic FK takers... Gerrard, Luis, Aurelio, Diego, Adam... woot.

If Aguero signs for Liverpool I will streak through Kings Cross on a Friday night.

Correio da Manha says Liverpool have agreed a fee with Benfica that will see the player move to Anfield.
€28.9 million (£25m) is claimed to be the fee paid by Kenny Dalglish, who is the transfer market for a left back as Liverpool look for a long-term replacement for Paul Konchesky.
However, neither Liverpool or Benfica have confirmed that a deal has been struck, and until that time it will remain open to debate as to if the former Rio Ave star is heading to the Barclays Premier League.
Please god let it be true. Shitty source but... oh my lord if we signed Coentrao I would be absolutely ecstatic.

Don't think it'll be Payet as I'm pretty sure he's signed with Lille.

Ah ok. Missed that one
But still... if we just added Mata and Coentrao to our XI i'd be stoked. Of course we need a lot more signings for depth/competition for places.

More chance of Sam Allardyce coaching a team to play good football. Would be the start of the rapture anyway. Edited by guest: 27/5/2011 04:15:57 PM

Liverpool's transformation under Kenny Dalglish is encapsulated by the fact that under the Scot they scored 35 goals in 18 league games, whereas under Roy Hodgson they mustered 24 in 20. The tendency to play more on the counterattack under Dalglish is reflected in the fact that they averaged more possession under Hodgson (53.2% to 50.6% under Dalglish) – part of the reason that this approach has been successful is that shooting accuracy has increased substantially under the Scot (rising from 43.2% to 51.4%). When Liverpool do not have the ball, Lucas Leiva is the man most likely to win it back: he won more tackles than any other player in this campaign (111, followed by David Vaughan with 104 and Scott Parker with 93).
Nice little summary :)

Reports linking us with yet another winger - Diego Perotti. Liking the NESV model of young players, can't wait till the window gets in full swing.

Any of you guys nervous about the lack of movement so far in the window? A few sites I read people are already saying stuff along the lines of "why haven't we signed anyone yet", "See NESV aren't serious", etc.
Personally, I'm not. We wouldnt have signed people by now in the past, but I think we are working on quite a few for sure. Just we don't hear about it because the club has become a vault again - nothin being leaked!
Also, nobody else has signed a player of note that I can think of!

 if you think Liverpool fans are impatient you should see some Arsenal fans. The amount of anger because we haven't signed anyone major yet is fucking hilarious

Some people are way too impatient. We have a long time. If we haven't signed anyone by the end of this month, THEN i'll be worried.

I've seen us linked with James Mcarthy. Very excited about that, he's still only 20 and has impressed me every time I've watched him. Would probably choose him over Adam tbh.

Never seen him play TBH but i'll trust your judgement. Link coming out about Henderson. this i like. Saying he is available for $16 million, for this I dislike. Good player, but not worth that amount.

Aguero is still the player that I think will change us. Also saw a link to "cut price Gonzalo Higuain". Worth a punt i reckon.

I've heard they may let Higuain go cheap so they can make way for Aguero.
Massive lol
