 Jen Chang well done. A man hired apparently to help improve the image of Liverpool Football Club goes and threatens a fans family and their business and his season ticket over a fucking parody account. You just cannot make this stuff up

It's a blog making wild accusations about a Liverpool FC employee with absolutely no evidence.
If true though... uhoh.

You just cannot make this stuff up  It seems like another cul-de-sac of lies and PR nightmare for Liverpool. The Telegraph wrote:Anfield's Director of Communications, Jen Chang, held a meeting with the spoof writer, Duncan Jenkins, who described himself as a 'perspiring football journalist' and attracted a large following on the social media site. It is alleged that Chang said the Merseyside club took the twitter account so seriously, they were forced to pay AS Roma an extra £300,000 when the fictional sports writer pretended to leak details of secret negotiations with the Italian club. The fan said he was simply rehashing information he had read in the newspapers. He claims the Liverpool official said he'd 'built a dossier' on the blogger and warned him he would have to 'move house' if irate supporters turned against him for undermining the club. In his online blog, the supporter said the Liverpool Director of Communications first contacted him on Aug 19 and then agreed to meet in a restaurant in Manchester where a series of warnings were made against him, and he was given an extraordinary insight into the apparent levels of paranoia in operation. He said in his blog: "Chang wanted to know who Duncan's 'mole' was. I told him the truth straight away, that there was no mole. He found it difficult to believe. "He went on to tell me that Duncan had cost the club money, specifically on the Borini deal. He told me LFC had been involved with difficult negotiations with Roma over the transfer of Borini. "He claims Roma asked for absolute discretion from LFC, that if news of the proposed deal got out Roma's fans would be unhappy about the sale of a young Italian international." Chang was appointed to his role last summer, replacing the long-serving Ian Cotton. The club has so far made no comment on the claims. Honestly though, the 'duncan jenkins' bloke has made a reputation for himself out of lies and fabrication, how can we take his word for having any merit at all? Granted, many LFC supporters knew it was all just cat piss, but the club have obviously been worried that they've got a mole there and had Chang act on this concern. However, I honestly don't think that a man who's spent the better part of three years as chief editor of SI is going to go making such a brash decision.

Sooooo...
1. Everyone should watch the Lucas interview on Redmen TV, excellent stuff. Our next captain for sure, you can see he genuinely loves the club.
2. Reina tweaked something for Spain, hopefully he is fit for the weekend, as Doni is still off on personal leave.
3. Skrtel had a knock too but he is fine, played 90min v Greece.
4. Suarez played 90 minutes at Altitude in Bolivia, will be very surprised if he is fit enough to start v Reading after two games and all that travel.
5. Morocco qualified for ACoN so Assaidi will be gone in Jan, and with Borini probably still out, we really need a signing in the first two weeks of Jan to cover us while they're gone. Or rely on Joe Cole...
6. I'm sure you all saw the announcement on developing Anfield... I'm glad, just hope the works start this offseason or next.
7. Yesil scored yet again for German U20s.. that's 33 goals in 34 games at Youth level for them (IIRC). Sahin played 90mins for Turkey for the first time in ages. Shelvey, GJ and Stevie will probably be involved tonight for England.
8. YNWA!

Quote:5. Morocco qualified for ACoN so Assaidi will be gone in Jan, and with Borini probably still out, we really need a signing in the first two weeks of Jan to cover us while they're gone. Or rely on Joe Cole... Assaidi being gone could be damaging. Nobody wants to see Downing getting that much game time. But in a pinch we've got Sterling and Suso. But that doesn't change the urgency for an attacking player in the window. Quote:6. I'm sure you all saw the announcement on developing Anfield... I'm glad, just hope the works start this offseason or next. I believe work is slated to start on May 31st at this stage and barring any further disasters work will be complete in time for the start of the 2014 season. Quote:Shelvey, GJ and Stevie will probably be involved tonight for England. Shelvey maybe. Walker will get the nod at RB ahead of GJ. Gerrard definitely.

Not a liverpool fan but I have enjoyed watching Being Liverpool. A couple of my favourites... Rodgers with envelopes with 3 names that he expected to let the club down. Wonder if there were actually names in there? or it was just a stunt? John Henry asking players if they knew who he was.

Ben Smith @BenSmithBBC
Pepe Reina not among the #LFC players who stepped off the coach at Anfield. Brad Jones set to deputise.

Sounds like Gerrard will be in the front 3.
Reina, Wisdom, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Allen, Gerrard, Shelvey, Suarez, Sterling, Sahin.

Good to get he win last night, nice goal from Sterling. Really should have put it to bed earlier but a decent performance overall.
Nice to hear Suso has signed a new deal too.

Nice to hear Suso has signed a new deal too. and he played a good game last night. In general we were moving the ball round great as we have of late - created enough chances to win 2games again - Reading were pressing well the last 20 and had a couple of good chances to level and thats the thing we need to put the game away ! Shelvey had a sitter tbh - perfect cross by Luis < he had a great game creatively he also pulled the trigger a few times not on target  All up 3pts is good !!

Suarez, Shelvey, Gerrard and Johnson all had chances to put the game beyond doubt and fluffed them. This is the kind of thing that keeps costing us points. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Creating chances doesn't mean anything if you don't put the ball in the net!
We've become a club so obsessed with meaningless statistics that we've lost sight of the numbers that matter!

Clocks to back saturday night, so they'll be 11 hours behind Sunday night. Can't say I'm enthused by the idea of having Jones between the sticks on the weekend. Nor the idea of Suarez having to back up after playing Azhni mid-week.

Wins a win. Not sure why Suarez and Gerrard both started, they need a rest.
By all accounts, Johnson, Wisdom and Assaidi were the most impressive.
Top of the table, 3 games in. Derby on the w/e... not sure whether Jones will keep his place. I kinda hope he doesn't. And maybe Assaidi will be preferred to Suso. Midfield will be SG-JA-NS. And the standard back four.

Very clever by Agger at the end but I don't even know the rule, ref couldn't allow the goal or it would be happening every week. Brought back some good memories though.

The ball was considered to still be in the keepers control, and is off limits until he releases it. Henry got done for something similar years ago Although with Henry's one the goal should've stood, it wasn't until later that they changed the rules to now include the entire kicking motion, and not just while the keeper has the ball in his hands.

jones been playing very well hope he keeps his place if he can keep it steady and no little brain snaps.
did you know reina has the lowest save percentage for shots on target out of all premier league keepers of something like 25 percent ? If he can find the form he had last year and the year before should get his spot back though.
