Interesting stat. In 2010-11 at this stage of the season Liverpool had 19 points and were 9th under Roy Hodgson. This season they have 16 points and are in 12th under Rodgers.

In that season they went on to take just 7 points from their next 8 games. Hopefully we do a little better this time around.

Enrique was awesum, runs down the line and some bullet shots really enjoyed his play. All round solid game by all - yes Lucas a little rusty as expected but played well survived 87mins so he's ready to carry on. Apart from having created enough chances to close 3games what a frustrating situationthat keeps building up re not scoring. I know others may not agree but Johnson peeves me off, wasted ball and shots that are just not on where he could lay it off but then again who's going to score  Some great linking play, the build up is looking great once we get a goal scorer we will be a tuff team to break. A win is a win , Luis copped a 5th yellow so out next game vs the hammers. Edited by m.l.: 2/12/2012 06:01:11 AM

Too good for us. Liverpool should be much higher in the league than they are.

FFT's Statszone do an infographic on player influence... WHAT A MAN. 7/8 tackles, 4/4 aerial duels. He's a defensive tank. And it's not even the stats, he makes our midfield look so balanced. Love it. I'd say MOTM was Dagger, Lucas or Enrique.

Cheers mate - its getting there, even though a forward should be bought apart from Luis I just don't know why the likes of Sterling followed by SG and a couple more don't find the net now and then. I think Agger and Skrtel have scored more so than any mid  Watching the game we are looking to pass right into the 6yard box nearly every raid - sure the 1 2's are great but apart from Enrique I want to see others like SG have a go from out the box a little more. imno yes Lucas, certainly cut off some ball as well, the BR way is starting to show some good possesion and build.

Lucas comes back:
We have balance in the midfield, We don't get done over from break aways after every attack we make, Allen looks a more dangerous, creative player, Gerrard has a better game, We win, We get a clean sheet, He makes more tackles than any other player in the league on the day, He makes our defenders job easier (especially full backs, he doesn't half cover each side of the pitch backing up the fullbacks so well, making them have good games). He improves the togetherness of the team, We get to read classy tweets from him after every game.

\:d/ lol anything else u wana add. I'm assuming ur a fan of Lucas. Jose enrique- another good game. The guy just never stops. Sterling for me, has been a little disappointing lately. Lots of silly errors, but i think its expected because of his age. But positive he still takes players on.

Yeah...yay for Lucas...doesn't change that we still can't put the ball in the back of the net and made hard work of beating 18th place.
We've found some balance in midfield but we still can't get our shit together in attack.

Doubt it, Assaidi only has 54 minutes in the league this season or something.
It will be Shelvey as a false 9... or even Cole? Sterling, or Suso. One of those.

You can't have any of those players leading the line. None of them can finish to save themselves.

Same old same old  I can just see this hammers game being another on the edge of the seat experience - near miss's, crossbars hit ! and Lucas having another beast of a game ! ;) Hopefully SG finally banks a long range special for he is longlong overdue to remind us he used to score now and then :d or that Shelvey will finally aim one of those rockets away from the keeper and we all orgasm I know, in Enrique we trust [-o< on fire since the shaven head look ! The Beast and Dagger better make sure pony tail don't score :p

Going to be no different so why watch ?! we will retain great possession and have even less close chances in the opponets 6yard box  Seriously I hope I'm proven all wrong and we knock em off [-o< bragging rights are needed towards some hammer mates of mine !

Strong team this morning: Reina, Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Enrique, Henderson, Allen, Sahin, Suso, Suarez, Downing.
Better win.

Wooo, progress! What a crazy group, 3 teams on 10.
Atlético Madrid Borussia Mönchengladbach Stuttgart Napoli Inter Sparta Prague Bayer Leverkusen Basel Lazio Levante Zenit St. Petersburg BATE Borisov Dynamo Kyiv Ajax
That is a tough list of teams to possib face.

If we didn't beat Udinese would have been pissed - they only won their 1st game and dropped the rest. Notice BR rested Lucas eh. Mind you our constant problem is scoring and Henderson scores  Padelli lifted v's us it seems with some good saves. Below is good imno - bigger hurdles - team needs to carry on and prove their worth, hopefully Jan we get a couple of scoring recruits :p Edited by M.L.: 7/12/2012 02:55:37 PM

I hope we avoid Atleti, Inter and Napoli. Don't really want Zenit either. Btw, we can't draw Lazio, they topped their group.

Honestly, there's no reason why we shouldn't win all of our games for the rest of the year.
