Slightly concerned by Doni's comments... we really don't need more drama.

Macca is also reporting that Coutinho is done. And Coates is heading out. A loan to Wigan was mentioned, I think that would be perfect.

There's a number of reasons why we needed to get the Coutinho deal done.
Who gives a shit what Doni says? He's not even playing for us.

It's popped up a couple of times in the sky feed. But what I'm hearing was from a mate who lives in Milan. Wouldn't be surprised if he was having me on though  Coutinho on the left, Sterling on the right.

In the way that Suarez floats behind Sturridge now, Coutinho could play the Suarez role and we push Luis up front and Sturridge out wide if we need some alternation.
He wouldn't be a first XI player week in week out, but there's a few spots he could play in.
At the moment Hendo, Gerrard and Lucas are tanking it as a group and I dont want to break it up.
Either way he'd be a great addition to have to bring on to unlock a defence

Quote:He wouldn't be a first XI player week in week out, but there's a few spots he could play in. He'd do more damage down the left than Suso. As you say, he probably wouldn't be going to play week-in and week-out but he would add some much needed depth up front with his flexibility.

Quote:Sky Sports understands Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Inter Milan winger Philippe Coutinho after agreeing a fee with the Serie A outfit.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers admitted on Friday he was hoping to bring in one or two new signings and it appears Coutinho could follow Daniel Sturridge into Anfield.
The Reds have been in talks with Inter for the last few weeks but were struggling to agree a deal with the Italian giants.
Southampton have also expressed an interest in Countinho, but it seems Liverpool have now struck a deal with Inter for the 20-year-old.
Countinho is thought to favour a move to Liverpool ahead of Southampton and the South American is expected to hold talks with the Anfield outfit over the next few days as Rodgers aims to bring in his second new face of this month's transfer window.

BBC say we've agreed a 8.5m fee for Coutinho. Loving that!
Don't think he'll get clearance to play v Oldham like we wanted though.
Has to be approved for a WP too.

Sorry have to ask as it's doing my head in. What is the problem the Liverpool fans have with what Evra did to Berbatov? If I have missed something tell me.

Do yourself a favour and turn the sound off
A lot of people were saying he's a central player and wont fit in for us out wide but you can see from that he drifts wide and drives infield a lot. Will be a great fit for our LF spot.
Can never judge on YT and seemed to lack some end product but it's obvious to see he's very agile and well balanced with great feet and dribbling.

He might lack a little on the end product, but he works the full width of the pitch and moves really well. He'll give us a lot more depth in attack and he's only 20, so the end product will come with time as he adjusts to the pace of the league. Not to mention the Serie A defences are a lot tighter so he'll have more space to take advantage of.
It would have been a real shame if we let him slip through our fingers because of a relatively miserly million pounds.

Awful result. Players selected were more than good enough, bottled it.
Oh well, focus on the League and Europa now.

Robinson was shit, Skrtel not his best, Jones was rubbish, Coates got out jumped by Matt Smith constantly.
we didn't start looking good until Gerrard got on.

Hendo and Stevie are the only ones who can walk away without shame. Anyway... Arsenal midweek. If we can get a win there it would be huge. I'd definitely take a point though. Sturridge - Suarez - ???? Hendo - Gerrard Lucas Johno - Agger - Skrtel - Wisdom Pepe Really dunno who will play RW... probably Downing tbh. Sterling has been in poor form and it's too soon for Borini after injury or Coutinho after signing.

I know its been the norm running out the 2nd string players in early cup rounds BUT whilst we are forever at the rebuilding stage or hello our lack of quality depth why not play more of our top liners imo. Yes I know there's plenty of football to be played over a season but whilst we don't have enough decent talent over the 20 odd players the Cup imo is always worth going for. Damn Coutinho now thats a good sign =d>

There's been a lot of bets today for Jack Butland to join Liverpool. I think that might just be down to Jones' shocking performance last night

We didn't even start looking good until Gerrard came on. Fucking hopeless how loose our midfield is without Lucas and Gerrard.
