Pep on loan is a win for all parties. Napoli get a keeper, Reina hooks up with Rafa and gets a decent shot at the Spain #1 for the WC, we save on his wages and he stays our player.

The only issue I have with it is that we're now back in a position where we've got a clear #1 and Brad Jones is our back-up.

both were talking about it but he hadn't been confirmed on the team sites site so I left it as rumored. still now on our site. Happy it is 6 months since it is league 1. hopefully he can have a good time there and then either go on loan to the championship or the prem after Jan.

Awesome night :) Watched the training session and had a very good spot. Luis seemed away from everyone else and only spoke with Coates. The other lads seemed to ignore him.

Assaidi, Robinson and Coates trained away from everyone else too, didn't partake in the game. Wonder why.

Coutinho came out and did his own fitness stuff and that was all. I think he has a knock.

Then walking back to meet my Uncle I strolled past the Hyatt and saw all the players getting off the coach. Managed to get to the front near the blockade and was face to face with BR. Most players just walked straight past but Rodgers stopped and signed heaps and spoke with the fans. Legend.

Coutinho signed some stuff too but Danny Agger was the best. Stayed like 5mins longer than anyone and signed so much stuff. Such a champ.

Do you think Suarez's attitude might have done his dash? Or is he training away from the group because they're more advanced from an extra week of fitness training?

I think Rodgers wouldn't mind any of these guys leaving this summer. Assaidi has not shown anything really. Coates has not progress nearly as much as we had hoped and Rodgers has already said he wants to buy cover at LB (Robinson's position).

In other news FC Groningen have confirmed Adorjan going there on loan. It should be good but I am slightly disappointing that 'FC Groningen has negotiated an option to buy'. If he came back and still wasn't too close to the first team I could see us looking at putting this in a loan next season but he has been one of our best reserve players and seems well suited to CAM or behind the striker. I think it might be a bit of a risk putting an option to buy on his first loan spell. I suppose if he does really well though we could convince not to sign with them with a new contract pretty easily.

Wondering what you Pool guys thought of the game last night in terms of how Liverpool played?

I only got to see from 70minutes onwards, but a few signs were worrying to say the least!

I never expected them to get out of a low gear, and I didn't see them do that, but what worried me was from what I watched, Pool were insistent on having 10 men behind the ball. It wasn't exactly the most entertaining tactics I've ever seen. What's the go? Is this going to be a normal setup for BR, and not allow too much freedom in attack?

Do you expect seeing fluent football in trial/practice/touring trip games ?
Rotation near on full team through 2nd half. Players in cruse mode etcetc

TBH I thought they'd attack a bit more. United seemed more spritely than Pool IMO

I had no qualms with how we played.

Fantastic to finally see the boys play in the flesh.

Given there was a mix of player who will and won't be involved in the first XI out there, I can't say there was much to worry about. Jordon Ibe looked really good, but the way we took the ball out wide every time we entered the final third was a little frustrating.

The game also completely changed my tune about Suarez. Had no chemistry with the team, didn't look at all motivated and was frankly poor. Let's cash in on him. 45-50m and he's out the door, bring in someone else who can lead the line and actually wants to be at Anfield.
