He requested it. It's fairly clear he's not going to get the same kinds of opportunities anymore. The fact that he gets them at Chelsea only serves to show how poor Chelsea's investment tactics have been, and how much they really wanted Modric and needed a replacement. Besides, we got our money back, which is what matters.

Yeah looks like it. He will know his surroundings at least, won't need much to settle in.

Bellamy transfer on LFC, he will wear number 39.

I would say Bellamy has just come to cover while your academy boys develop so they can come strait in when Bellamys done

Bellamy? Well, he's a cheaper third striker, he's better quality than Ngog, he won't be leaving to try and get first team football elsewhere because he's older, he's proper hard, which is what Kenny obviously wants in his squad, and he's free. He also has as many assists as he has goals, because he's not just an out-and-out striker. This thing that looks remarkably like 4-2-4, with a whole bunch of attacking players running all over the place - that's what a creative player like Bellamy thrives on.

That also means Ngog can go to Bolton where he'll get what he wants.

I still can't get over this...our summer recruiting has been Henderson, Downing, Doni, Enrique, Coates, Adam...and Bellamy. It just doesn't make sense.

Losing both Meireles AND Aquilani would be a mistake. Gerrard, Adam, Lucas, Meireles and Henderson is a healthy midfield with the kind of depth you'd expect.

Carroll, Suarez, Sturridge and Bellamy. A decent looking strike force there, and I would imagine that King Kenny can handle Bellamy's healthy dose of crazy.
