Looking forward to tomorrows game - the Coutinho is back :) been training and available hoping BR starts him up. Is Lucas in for tomorrow ? need him around Ozil, going to be interesting how we handle their attack, then again they also have to handle Suarez and Sturridge. Edited by M.L.: 1/11/2013 04:15:38 PM

Yeah Lucas is there. He needs to be beast.
Coutinho will probably start on bench. Need the midfield legs of Hendo in this kinda game. Bring on Coutinho to win it.

graphic on Suso Seems to be playing really well and when we play 4 at the back I think he would be making our first XI at the moment. I double he would do well in a three back formation especially as a left footer on the right but a really good sign and The best player we have had out on loan in awhile. I would say we probably should have kept him and not brought in Moses though. I think he could do the same job better and we would still have him next season. From the article Quote:The problem the club has mainly had though is allowing Suso the room to play. With so much focus on him as an outlet, all their best work flows through the Liverpool loanee, and they look stuck when it comes to using other routes to find Rodri. Suso drifts in from a wide position to the middle, making 1.3 key passes per game, a total of 14, and assisting 5 goals already this season. That tally is enough to rank him 4th in La Liga behind Koke and Neymar both on 7, and Cesc Fábregas on 6. It so happens too, that at 19-years-old, no other teenager has as many assists in Europe’s top 5 leagues. The combination of Suso and Rodri is important; often in games there is a relationship between them in terms of Suso’s vision aiming to locate Rodri’s runs. It’s a popular link, and one that has been successful. http://www.whoscored.com/Articles/r5j2dcfpue-vm55wqwik_q/Show/Team-Focus-Old-Saying-Rings-True-for-Attacking-AlmeriaEdited by moofa: 8/11/2013 10:52:01 AM

Suso's been drawing a lot of attention and he'd be very handy to have down the right next season. First team football is doing him a world of good.

Good win. Feel bad for Sakho and Toure missing out on a starting berth… not sure what our CB partnership is right now but Skrtel and Dagger did well today.
Gerrard, Suarez and Hendo were excellent.

Gerrard, Suarez and Hendo were excellent. Overall, great performance from the lads. Only faults I can see were Cissoko had an OK game, Coutinho has played better and Sturridge seems to have dropped off since Suarez has come into amazing form, but i'm grasping at straws here. So many more positives to take from this game going in the derby next week against a side that just drew with Palace.

I believe the technical term for that is "depth", which has become a foreign concept for Liverpool fans over recent seasons. We can't get carried away though, this is a Fulham side that's conceded 11 goals in its last 3 games.

great set of results for us this weekend. Only one I would change is to have a draw in the United Arsenal game.

Need to back it up v Everton next week. They might have drawn with Palace, but they've only lost once so far this year.
That said, our next four games are all games we should be winning.

Yeah a win vs Fulham at home is a must win if you are going for top four but I was more happy with so many other teams dropping points.
Everton will be hard but I think while he was great Coutinio was still not back to his best in terms of threading through balls through over hitting a few. It was a easy run out though so has given him a good chance to get back to match speed before Everton. Also I would have liked to have seen a Suarez assisted Sturridge goal vs Fulham as even though I doubt Sturridge will hold a grudge them working well together is vital for us.

Suarez and Sturridge are going from strength to strength with each other so I wouldn't worry about that. Once Coutinho gets back into rhythm with them some real damage can be done.

Would've also changed the Chelsea game which they had to resort to diving to take a point from but overall its hard to complain. Everton have proven to be very hard to score against, but haven't been very clinical in front of goal. I doubt we'll lose, but it will be very tough to win.

Obvious aim is ECL at least, so we can not only compete at the highest level, but attract class players or young players with that extra quality. My heart is saying if we can make a couple of big key signings in the midfield in January, then we can go very far this season.

Another quality striker and another midfielder is all we really need to give us what we need.

Edited by M.L.: 24/11/2013 03:18:46 PM From an outsiders perspective, I think Hendo is a quality player, but the role he's being asked to play (wide-right) doesn't suit him in your system. He was quality out there for Sunderland, but he doesn't have the pace or the link up play to effectively cause damage down that side, at Sunderland he just whipped the ball in. In saying that, he reminds me a lot of Gerrard in the way he plays, and like what's happened with Ramsey- playing out wide, where there is little time on the ball will only help his development in turning into a class box to box mid. IMO.

His touch is nowhere near as good as Ramsay's but hopefully the constant pressure on the wing will help him learn to accommodate that better.

jlm I don't think he's out of position but more so as you not suited to our style of play. afro hit the nail his touch isn't there consistantly for touch and go football, when he's on he's on but not enough for us every week.

As his touch and situational awareness improve by being marked tightly down the flank he'll become a more consistent performer as jlm suggests.
If he doesn't, he'll never make it as a player and it will be a failed experiment.

Watching the 1st half I could tell we weren't on it - Hull really pressed and had us under pressure everytime recieving the ball. Some good play now and then but......having had a busy weekend had to hit the sack, seams like it was the better call seeing the result ! What didn't happen 2nd half
