Hopefully this summer we're able to sort out a proper move for Papadopoulos.

I never said dropping points doesn't matter. Liverpool never expected to have this kind of season. To be in the position they are in is quite a good. Yes you don't want to drop points and make silly mistakes, but this is the kind of mistake which you go, "ok, bad mistake, but things are still good, lets stay focussed and we move on"

Fuck yeah! Even more telling is that not one of the 5 goals was scored by Suarez or Stevie. This team is a prolific goal-scoring unit, provided their defence is good enough, they'll be well set up for success over the different competitions in the next few years...

Our mids were amazing hussling putting pressure on them that 1st half ! Dam Rogers had them ready for this one ! That effort from Luis outside the box 1st half was amazing to watch and Toure had the chance putting it away from the rebound. How many goals missed couldn't believe how easy we spilt them open, well you could they were slow as in the backline. Great way to start my day what a bollocking.

Cracking win on the weekend but makes the West Brom result even more frustrating. Although, if offered 4 points from those two fixtures beforehand you would have gladly taken it.

Got to kick on now. That desire and hunger has to be there every week. We've put ourselves in a fantastic position to push and consolidate top 4, we need to take advantage of it.

Just a heads up for any fans in Sydney if you do not already know. John Barnes will be at Cheers tomorrow night, I don't know it's sold out or anything but I'm sure you could still get in if you contact LFC NSW.

Need to get out of the habit of under performing against lesser teams tonight. Hoping for an early 2 goal lead early so we can take it easy and take some players off early like we did against arsenal.
And while it's been fun to pile shit on United, I wouldn't mind them taking some points off arsenal tonight cause I don't see them having a late run for a top 4 spot. Tottenham are probably gonna be the team were looking over our shoulder at IMO, so hopefully they fuck up tonight against Newcastle.
I hope we are still looking at moving up the table, while 4th is still good, we are still Liverpool and we are the type of team that will fuck up against Lille, Sporting Lisbon or Gala in the playoffs. 3rd would be nice :)

tbitm I think we just need to focus on the next game as above. In regards to united I think the less said the better for the results speak louder - I had more pleasure seeing those cocky gooner supporters here made to eat it in large lumps :-$ :p spurs will be hot and cold I feel but as said we just have to focus on each game - pray that injuries are kept to a minimum the end can be bliss !

Fair enough, it's just hard not to get carried away dreaming about these things. Injuries have been a problem this season, Allen, Shako, Agger, Sturridge, Gerrard, Coutinho, Enrique and Johnson (perhaps a blessing in disguise since Flanno has been boss) have all been injured at some point this season (And probably a few others I can't think of at the top of my head). But it's been great to see the depth we have since we never really saw a drop in form when these players have been out. Edited by tbitm: 12/2/2014 05:58:56 PM

Believe me I'm doing my best to lock it in - :d TBH I'm surprised how well we have kept going with the long list of injuries to 1st team members as you listed below. Don't forget we started without LS for what 5odd games as well but you neglected losing Lucas !!! though SG has lifted playing this role quite against his usual role. Flanno has been a beast the last weeks - gave away a free or 2 in attacking positions for the opposition but Johnson has had many spats of brain fade over the last season and this, Flanno is starting to mature and BR must be great for him. I look forward having Agger back and Enrique but Toure,Cissokho are doing fine ! Cissokho has his moments when on the ball but I like the fact he goes in hard for the tackle. BR has seen more than us and showing faith in the squad must be giving the lads confidence whilst we had hoped he bolster up the rear and even a DM with Lucas gone. Anyway till tomorrow !

Took me back to the 08 season that. 3-2 wins were our hallmark then, weren't they? I think I remember us getting late winners in that fashion against City, Bolton (twice?), Pompey, Wigan, maybe even Boro.
Great to show that fight after two setbacks. Just individual errors really. Dagger will come in for Kolo next week I think. Otherwise no changes.
Gerrard was great as was Sturridge. That pass was sublime.
Massive win, I know it's against relegation candidates but they all count the same.
Table is so insanely tight you really don't know which way it will go.
Have to just do the business in the next few games. If we get 7 pts from them (Home to Swans and Sunderland, away to Soton) I'll be very happy.

great fight back, unfortunately I only saw the OG because I had to leave for work but now we are as close to arsenal as we are to Spurs. also good to see Rodger having faith in Teixeira. I wouldn't say we have a great academy as we have bought most of our best youngsters but Rodgers is doing well in making the transition from academy to first team work well.

imno 08 was too long ago to remember :) You say relegation candidates that every game is like a finale now but as we know our recent past has been to drop these so very fortunate - typically we lift against last weeks contenders blow them off the park and struggle the next week football is always wonderful not ! Toure - I defended his inexcusable passing error the other week this time arrrrrgh ! come in Agger please. Thankfully SG puts the baby away \:d/ Edited by M.L.: 13/2/2014 04:26:10 PM

Well as has become the norm with us score more than what ends up in our net #-o The 1st 20 it seemed we were in cruise and it did come though holes did appear in our defense - Raheems right outside foot through ball was surblind into Sturridge's path put away easily - the build up play to Hendo's goal was again great followed by Hendo's shot damn impressed. You could tell once again Shelvey was going to be up for it - the space he found at times was like WTF ! SG was with the back 4 more so than staying that little up, we allowed them too much movement on the ball as well just look what happened 3 - 3 at HT. Sure one goal was a deflection off Skrtl but damn we are our own worst enemy. Glad to grab the 3 and now have that small break from spurs thanks to norwich !

Just scraped by the skin on our teeth, but all that matters is we got the 3 points and Spurs didn't. Also Hendo = king.
We need to get some new CB's in the summer. Agger, Skrtel and Toure are all good, but inconsistent so they become liabilities. Agger should've been marking Bony in their 2nd goal. Skrtel gave away a shit penalty and Toure is well, Toure. My god do we need Sakho back asap.

haha Hendo = king, he's not there at all for me but has improved much chalk another season under BR, he passed the ball a couple of times point blank to the opposition I though WT. Agger was hot and cold, Skrtl's tackling style is a pen waiting to happen we have all seen it before. Sakho would be nice back and Lucas in the middle but thats next season for he ! Have to mention Shelveys reply after his quality goal was well taken by the Kop - watching you had to accept what a well taken strike it was.

Yeah, class from Shelvey and class from the Kop to applaud his goal.
Hendo was beast, so good to see how far he has come .Future captain for me, love the guy.
I agree, Sakho has been a big miss, he was quality at the back. Skrtel has been great lately but had a poor game.
Would be nice to have Lucas back but no idea who he would replace!
I thought Allen was very good when he came on.
That pass from Sterling though... phwoar.

The sign of a truly good team is one who can have an 'off' day and still get the win. Liverpool showed that this morning, Swansea have shown to be no easybeats and they put up a better challenge at Anfield than some teams gunning for a Champions League spot...
