Yer Thanks Pr1mo. Nothing easy thats for sure incl Cup and EU fixtures. Having watched Sunday Review last night - the EPL has gone up another level imo I don't care what anybody else thinks (ie LaLiga/Bundas fanbois, mind you I still enjoy watching these leagues but no where the interest I have compared to epl) no one in the bottom half of the table is an easy game as back in the ol days. Those days are over. Smaller clubs buy very wisely, infact, better than us it seems by results to date lol...

We had patches of great play but just far too pedestrian. Strikers had to come deep to receive from CBs every time - just a huge chasm in the midfield, not enough presence, not enough tempo, desire, anything.
Thank god for Can being able to carry it out from the back and launch half of our fucking attacks. Milner was absolute dog shit.
Sturridge looked very sharp in the first half. Delighted for Ings his movement is fantastic.
Drop the fucking stupid cunting back 3. So annoyed.
He's got a few more games to turn things around but that's it. Sorry. Result was disappointing but we created plenty of chances to win the game which is pleasing. Having said that when you're playing a promoted side at home you should be creating a boatload of chances.... Moreno was MOTM for us I thought. Agree, midfield is non-existent. Think Rodgers will be gone by the end of October. Based on the performance on Sunday I'm confident results will improve. If Rodgers is let go it will need to be for Klopp or Ancellotti. Otherwise it's just change for the sake of change and a waste of everyone's time.

In other news, Balo scored a belter of a free-kick last night. Edited by Pr1mo: 23/9/2015 02:39:11 PM

So we get through on pens ! Watching Eurosport news overnight was loling at the clubs denials that Ancelotti has been approached :) So, when this kind of goss gets around the traps normally its going to happen when you least expect it. Then again I could be I could be entirely wrong ! Farking Balo - he's back on his game on Italian turf, so was it part of BR's tactics/style of play that he couldn't fit in ? was it his lack of movement ? everything combined but it was such a failure it wasn't funny. Just as we have seen in the past - player leaves us after doing nothing, Carroll, Adam, Shelvey (< this one really hurts imo)to name a few then when vsing us damage us more times than not. Frigging even Aspas put in 2 against Barca  Edited by M.L.: 24/9/2015 10:06:25 AM

Edited by M.L.: 24/9/2015 10:06:25 AM 47 shots at goal and 16 on target for one goal. That's gotta be unusual.... Did anyone catch the game...? Balo is a very good player. If a new manager comes in he may still have a future at LFC depending on whether we gave Milan a buy option at an attractive price... Edited by Harrison84: 24/9/2015 08:56:26 PM

Will see how Balo goes at Milan, apparently there is no buy option in the agreement.

Didn't Rodgers say in 2012 to judge him in 3 years?

Was a good win. For the first time we were able to build a platform on the game in their half instead of passing it around in our defensive third.
Sturridge could've had a hattrick denied by a brilliant save.
Lucas was an absolute machine , 11/11 tackles and 9 ball recoveries and 100 passes. He was absolutely brilliant.
Still, winning by 1 home to Villa nothing to celebrate about, Rodgers certainly not out of the woods.

Really happy with the performance. Villa did well to get their two goals, but we could and should have scored more than the 3 we did. Gestede was a real handful for Sakho.
Pleased with the efforts of Sturridge, Ings, Moreno, Clyne, Lucas, Milner and coutinho in particular. There was great effort made by the players for the full 90 minutes which wad important for me. It tells me the manager still had the players sport.
I hope Sturridge can stay fit for a good spell now. We'll need to resist the urge to overplay him with Benteke out. But it's clear that our attacking fluidity is much better when he's on the pitch...

Yes no doubt about needing Sturridge stay fit ! This is the only negative of he, one of those players that are more injury prone than others. Love to see he and Benteke put together a few games together see how it works out, mind you I like Ings, he runs his arse off I like seeing that in a player. I watched the 2nd half - we started to get some fluid attacking combos happening again, hope we can get that rhythm consistency.

Let's hope we get a win, or a scrappy draw with a few goals in it.... We should not flatter them by taking our old Trafford tactics to goodison... They have some handy players but they aren't exactly superior to our side are they?
I agree a bad defeat would spell the end for BR but I can see us getting a point in this one.

Ancelotti or Klopp would be fine by me! Either or. I think Klopp is a more 'likeable' target after his work with Dortmund but Ancelotti certainly has more history and pedigree.

I think both are very good managers - everyone has their good and bad points. Ancelotti has runs on the board in the epl - this is an advantage to a degree, its how he comes across to the squad and wins them over and play for him after many having had BR's time and recent signings probably due to his persuasion. Though they all are professionals and have to turn their heads around working differently but achieving the same goals. Klopp, being younger may gel quicker with the squad - importantly a real breath of fresh air that may really light the place up. He's been there and done it from scratch not too long ago with Dortmund, his ways got the players to really embrace him and play exciting football. Both are proven in the big time more than BR has ever done to date so its a step in the right direction gaffa wise. Will be interesting what either see in the current squad - where they see x plays and what kind of formation preferred. One thing is for sure - will be a running change that will challenge results needed sooner rather than later if there is any hope turning the season into a good one. Going to be bloody interesting to watch - could be awesum, could be nerve racking at this stage of the season but wow huge chance to add to their reputations if either can steer the club in the direction all of us keep hoping for.

Ben Smith @BenSmithBBC 55m55 minutes ago #LFC intend to open talks with Jurgen Klopp this week. I'm told he's open to idea of moving to Anfield. Ancelotti another option.
I have to say I would probably personally prefer him. I think.

It seems Liverpool had planned to sack him even before this game, which would have made it interesting to see what would have happened had they won and not drawn
