Forgot about KoL, that's the winner right there.

The fact that it was that predictable pretty much sums up the Hottest 100.

lol. cos they both play drum'n'bass. if you like that stuff, check out the whole scene. i love dnb. but my fav act would have to be a tie between the prodigy, portishead or the proppelheads. i do like pendulum, but they've gone down a different direction with their latest stuff. it the influence of the freestylers. they seem to collaborate quite a bit.

I've been looking into them a bit, and i think the songs I've heard off their newer album definitely appeal to me more, because I'm from a rock/metal background. Though i do like the songs I heard off their first album too.

Seeing as your into the whole drum'n'bass stuff, are their any other groups that sound similar to the newer Pendulum stuff?

there's a trick sydney-based group called Kobra Kai who i am a real fan of. there's always the great internationals like Freq Nasty, and Roni Size. it's a pretty big genre so i don't really know where to turn you. just check it all out to see if you like it.

Indeed.

Very little screaming on Watershed or Are You Dead Yet?

Probably Cowboys From Hell. Maybe Cemetary Gates. Both are good and worth a listen.

Cowboys From Hell was okay. It's so terrible cliche now though.

ok, some bands that i have discovered that i dont mind are: Children of Bodom, Opeth, Pantera, Cog(i already knew them and liked them), same with SOAD, Rammstein

thanks theyll give me some songs to download now

Also check out Katatonia's 'The great cold distance'.

Can someone recommend a specific Ra album to check out?

From what I've heard of their new album Black Sun (came out last year) has been really impressive. I think I might 'acquire' it myself. Otherwise give Duality a go.

There's still plenty of screaming on Are You Dead Yet?...haven't heard Watershed, so can't comment, but even then, 1 album each for bands with 8+ albums, would hardly constitute them having, 'less screamy singing'.

EDIT: Also, Avy, check out Pelican. Heavy music, and no vocals.

I'll look into the newer one first I think.

Watershed would be one of their better albums.

If avy's looking for big sounding guitars and clean vox, perhaps Staind. But that can get a little whingey at times.

Iron Man, War Pig, Paranoid, Fairies Wear Boots - All classics.
Either one can be their best song just depending on the persons opinion.
