I know it's in this thread somewhere, but I cbf searching for it. I use file2hd. Works for myspace and all that too. Motorhead are awesome. EVOLUTION IS A MYSTERY! I've used file2hd before, tried it with this but it didn't work. I tried mk's thing to download Dillinger & NIN's Wish and it was dud. file2hd doesn't work often too, pretty much anything that uses a flash app withint a flash app (ie, myspace) will fuck it up. It works fine on Myspace, never had a problem with it.

Anybody here a fan of Dir En Grey? Heard their name being thrown around a bit, finally got round to checking them out, they're erm....interesting. Not sure if I like them or not, but definitely require further listening.

Interesting sound. I can definately see the parallels and comparisons with Mike Patton. I'm not sure I'd buy one of their albums though, it checks the right boxes, but not in the right ways.

Apparently their older, and newer stuff is a bit more experimental. Still not sure if I like it.

http://mashable.com/2009/03/24/lastfm-international-users/LastFM is going to start charging international users for the ability to stream music. Everything else will stay free, but streaming is going to cost. I don't use it that much, so it doesn't really effect me.

I don't use it for streaming anyway (very very rarely).
More likely to be a test to see if people will actually care. Or may be an incentive for upgrades.

Just bought my first black metal album - The Age Of Nero - Satyricon. Pretty excited about it tbh. More than I usual am from a new CD.
Just started playing first track 'Commando' - its a pretty nice start. Serious metal and great opening. Sounding good. :)

I don't use it that much, so it doesn't really effect me. This is those damn copyright monkeys deciding that they need to fuck with us all  they've changed the laws in the US so that it's almost in line with what it is here and that's that if a song is recognisable (nomatter how little, it might just the one chord), royalties must be paid. So now rather than putting advertising on the site to pay for the streaming royalties, they're charging per view. This is all the record industry fuck-nuts going "well, you pay for what's on tv and the radio, why shouldn't you have to pay for what's on the internet?" Mostly because we can't fucking afford it you dick cheeses.

Supermassive Black Hole - Muse
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

Should have thrown Den Siste by Satyricon on my last post. The closer and best song off the new album IMO.

I really like I Will Be Heard. Top song. I thought they were heavily racist until recently...

Nico wrote:I really like I Will Be Heard. Top song. I thought they were heavily racist until recently... Doesn't the frontman have a Swastika on his chest or shoulder or something?? I've got Satisfaction is the Death of Desire and it's an angry, angsty album. There's some fucked up shit on there. And they've got another album that's meant to be coming out this year, For The Lions.

Hatebreed aren't bad. There's a lot of bands who do it better though IMO.
A Static Lullaby - Bear Trap.

They supposedly had a song called "Killed The Niggers", but this was wrong? Something with a P2P had renamed it differently. I had that song, though it turns out it isn't actually called that. I think they are just quite aggressive but are not actually racist or believe in white supremacy as some lyrics and songs may suggest. I just love the energy they give out. Good live show of what I remember too.

I'm not aware of any such song title. They're a very aggressive and angsty sounding band, but look at the Lyrics from "Defeatist" etc and you see that there's some poignancy there.

The Vines first album was brilliant. Outtathaway! and Get Free were really well made songs IMO. Showed a lot of potential. I loved them back in the day. Something very special for an Aussie band - something only bands like The Living End have beaten.

You like Dead Seeds? It's not bad, but I'd put Contractor, Set to Fail, The Passing, In Your Words and Broken Hands above it.

I fucking love Dead Seeds. One of my favourite LoG songs now. Omerta and Vigil top it of course. Just gets me going mental as soon as it starts. As soon as the chorus comes round I find myself headbanging away. :P Broken Hands, Set To Fail and Fake Messiah are my other favourites off the album. Don't know how you count The Passing in that either...
