Siddle in, Bollinger misses out. Batting order stays the same with Hussey and North still there

Pitch Report:
A few green patches. Wicket isn't as hard as the usual Gabba pitch, ball won't be going on to the bat as quickly. Looking alright for the aussie bowlers,
My tip is on Siddle to do the damage, if Johnson gets the seam straight he will also cause a few headaches.

Short one outside off stump, straightened a bit and cramped the skip up. Hussey takes the catch at gully.

0006 Strauss has gone from the third ball! Too close to him for cutting and Hussey pouches the catch in the gully. Big send off from the Australian players, gathering round the England skipper and flapping like vultures. Trott next up the ramp - three slips and a gully and a backward-point in... Trott survives the rest of the over... BBC
WICKET! England 0-1 (Strauss c Hussey b Hilfenhaus 0) I am Jack's numbing deja vu: Andrew Strauss has gone third ball! I cannot believe this. Strauss was out on the pull here twice four years ago and now he has gone to another of his favourite shots, the cut, slapping it straight to Hussey in the gully. I cannot believe that. I simply cannot believe that. There was a bit of bounce, but even so, Strauss plays that shot in his sleep. He walks off in shock, and he is not the only one... The Guardian

Ooooo, First runs for the poms, boundary off Trott's edge. Great shape from Hilfy, he won't mind that
And the second boundary for Trott, Hilfy dragged it down leg side and got dispatched accordingly

BBC Test Match Special's Michael Vaughan "It's a poor ball, a ball he would normally hit for four, but it's just seamed back and cramped him for room. What a start for Australia!"
might go turn Grandstand on and see who they've got on

Hilfenhaus bowls arguably the ball of the morning... swings away and just beats the outside edge, looking sharp and dangerous

Loving these new channel 9 graphics. Scorcard and scoreboard has had a face lift and the new use of hawk-eye to measure the degree of variation in the balls bowled when they seam. I'm a fan :d

I'm a fan :d took me a minute to get use to the new scoreboard position, so long use to the top left, but it's the right decsion... i don't think they use Hawk-Eye anymore it's something new, i read an article about it the other day... i'll try and see if i can dig it up

The Doctor wrote:Ohhhhhh almost 2 fa... nicked to 2nd slip and bounced well short, ball didn't carry Either nice soft hands from Trott, or the ball didn't kick through off the pitch as it has been. If Trott gets going, he can be a real threat. Cook is the sort of batsman to be there all day, this could be a strong partnership for England

Wicket! Trott b. Watson.
Took his off stump out with a nice full pitched ball. On first glance i think Trott was expecting it to swing away a touch, but it just stayed straight. On second glance it came in a touch off the seam.
