I went to Star City last night, lost $160 in poker, then me and my mate decided to go to the races.
Conveniently Warwick Farm was on yesterday and so we headed there.
Long story short, I got about 1/6 horses up and got taken to the cleaners.
Since, I've made a side-bet with a friend that I shall never gamble on the races or slots again (except the Melbourne Cup, which is more like a special holy event than a race) at odds of, (I can't quite remember but it was between $8-15), for 50 bucks. Warwick Farm sucks!! :cry:

That aside, Valencia and Palermo worry me. Sociedad just knocked off Barca and probably are full of confidence, and I think you can get better odds from a better game. And Palermo, well, I hate the Serie A. And Palermo have only won two of their last 5.

Some good value in the Richmond v Freo match. Freo are a very good side from the looks of it, and 1.76 value is mainly due to their previous problems in Melbourne, but I think they're past that.

Meanwhile, Richmond at 2.30 is pretty good value for a side that's won it's last 2 (Albeit against 2 of the shittier sides in the comp).

Either one worth a punt tbh.

- The Waratah's have severely under-performed at home this season especially in attack, they generally play a defensively style and haven't been playing to their potential. The Force are coming off the back of a 'marvelous losing' performance, if possible, against the heavy hitters the Crusaders. Although the Force were at home, they could have won that game, and for the most part this season, have been in most games. They are on a high and will look to push to gain the 2nd spot in the Australian conference.
With an 8.5 start, they are good value against the lacklustre Waratahs, but we should be weary that the Force are not as consistent away.

Rebels v Reds Line – 19 (Backing Reds @ 2.4)
- The Reds are one of the contenders for the title this year and they know their way to the try line. With an abundance of attacking talent and flair, they always have points in them. From memory, they defeated the Rebels by 50 odd points earlier in the season, and this time I see a similar result. Without their 2 attacking guns in Cipriani and the other guy who's name eludes me, the Rebels are up for the hanging.
This bet is a really good sweetener for a multi imo.

Bolton v Sunderland (Backing Bolton @ 1.81)
- As has been stated by Vaughn, backing Bolton here is a very good value bet.

Werder Bremen v Dortmund (Backing Bremen @ 3.4)
- Another one that Vaughn explained well,
"Werder have had a horrible season, sitting in 13th. 5w/6d/5l home record.
-Doubts over the effect that already winning the title will have on Dortmund players. 11w/2d/3l away record, very impressive".

In saying that, perhaps the fact that Dortmund have sealed the title and 'might have' nothing to play for, perhaps even throwing in some more youth (Mitchy might get a run, I hope!), reflects their long odds.
Then again, you could say the exact same thing for Hamburg in that they are mid table, safe from the drop and out of contention for Europe. Nonetheless a very good bet and at a premium price.


I am going to put up a list of bets that some of us have repeating in our selections, as well as an in-depth list of possible multiples soon.

The fact that the Rebels v Reds game starts in 40 odd minutes means I am going to eat dinner quickly to get back here and post, and put in my own personal multi in the mean time which includes that bet, cause obviously I like it, so perhaps I'll only make it a few legs...
