Alright:
Villa v Wigan - Backing: Villa. I agree with whoever put this up. Also, both teams have only kepts 1 clean sheet in their last 5, so 'both teams to score' is an option (if it's offered) at 1.62 (on sportingbet)
Also very keen on Bolton over Sunderland.
Wolves v WBA - Backing: Both teams to score @ 1.55 These two sides have NEVER been involved in a goalless game all season. I think this is a very good chance
Middlesbrough v Doncaster - Backing: Middlesbrough at 1.65 Doncaster haven't won in their last 6 games, and I think at 1.65 this is good odds for the Boro. Donny wrapped up survival last week so they wont be fighting crazily.
Swansea v Sheff Utd - Backing: Swansea @ 1.50 Sheff Utd have already been relegated so will probably use this as a chance to play some kids. Swansea are also 4th on the form table.
St Pauli v Bayern Munich - Backing: Bayern @ 1.15 Pretty short odds but could fatten it out well. Pretty simply - St Pauli have 3 losses on the bounce at home, and 1 pt from last 6 games in total. Bayern are top of the form guide.
Leverkusen v Hamburg - Backing: Leverkusen @ 1.43 Leverkusen got 3 wins on the trot at home, whilst Hamburg are near the foot of the form table, without a win in 5. Quite confident on this. Leverkusen have also won the last 2 meetings between these two.
Zaragoza v Osasuna - Backing: Zaragoza @ 2.05 Was gonna put this in 'value' section but I'll throw it here - Zaragoza have won their last 3 at home, whilst Osasuna have only won 1 of their last 5. Osasuna have won 3 of the last 4 meetings between the two sides though.... it's a tough one. Maybe belongs in value
Value bets!!
Valenciennes v Rennes - Backing: Valenciennes @ 2.40 Rennes are in atrocious form, with no wins in 5, and only 1 away pt from their last 3. Conversely, Valenciennes haven't lost at home in 7 games, although admittedly 5 of those have been draws.
Wolfsburg v Kaiserslautern - Backing: Kaiserslautern @ 7.00  Now, stick with me here . Kaiserslautern are 2nd in the form table, with 3 wins on the bounce away from home. Meantime, Wolfsburg have only won two of their last 6. I'd throw this on a seperate mutli, but I'll definitely be getting on it. I can't believe Wolfsburg are paying so well, especially since Kaiser are higher than them in the table too . Wolfsburg haven't won any of the last 4 meetings between the two teams too.
Schalke v Mainz - Backing: Mainz @ 2.85 Schalke have been decidedly average in the league this term, and their recent form reflects that, with no wins in 3. That said, Mainz have never beaten Schalke away from home, so tread with caution.
Lecce v Napoli - Backing: Napoli @ 2.90 Napoli have won 3 of the last 4 meetings between these sides. They're also 3rd on the form table with Lecce in 14th with with no wins in 3. Great odds this.
Roma v AC Milan - Backing: AC Milan @ 2.85 AC have 5 mins on the bounce, only need a point to seal the title. Roma have lost 2 of their last 3 at home. Decent odds.
Atletico Madrid v Malaga - Backing : Draw @ 4.30 Malaga are storming home and in the last few games have taken huge strides to sealing safety. They are equal top of the form table, with Atletico. Big outside chance but thought I'd bring it up.
Feel free to ridicule my choices!

Strongly agree with Zaragoza @ $2.05 v Osasuna -from a different perspective, Osasuna have lost 13/17 games away from home this season. (2 draws and 2 wins)
Napoli @ $2.90 is very appealing
Bayern away to St Pauli for $1.15 is not worth it tbh, it won't add much value and iirc St Pauli have pulled off some unexpected results against a few of the big clubs.
AC is a tough one, you'd think that clenching the title is enough motivation, but they were very unconvincing last week (1-0 win at home to Bologna)

I think to make our choices fit in and suit each multi we could seperate them and have 1 'solid' and 1 'booya!', multi. Ahahah, basically, the one we all come to a consensus on and feel is solid, we go for the shorter odds for example: '<$30',($4-7 stake). The one where we want that odd Quote:Wolfsburg v Kaiserslautern - Backing: Kaiserslautern @ 7.00  to get up, with a few ball busters, going for long odds, ($1.5-3.99 stake). Aswell as combining minds and strategies for a better chance at winning, we can dare to desire the daddy-long-shot! Thoughts? imnofreak wrote:Will leave it till tomorrow arvo for any one else to get some tips in, then I'll compile a list and we'll all choose which 4-8 we prefer? This sounds good

Some tips for today.
Swans vs Bulldogs
Pick your own line - Sydney + 20.5 $1.45 (always close games, especially in Canberra. Swans have only won once in Canberra. The last game between these 2 last year there was 6 points in it. Both coming off losses and the Dogs still missing Bazza.
Cats vs Kangas
Qtr by Qtr - Geelong to lead all the way $1.33 (home game for Geelong, no need to say more really. Geelong will romp this home. Carn the mighty Cats !!!!!)
Tigers vs Dockers
Start +24.5 - Richmond $1.40 (this will be a close one, Tigers have had a few wins but nothing convincing. Freo have quality on the park and are coming off the bye, should be relaxed and ready)
The league betting is suspended at the moment.

I'd be looking to include one of these two in our safe multi.

sanga1 wrote:My 8 for the coming weekend are:
Safe/Bankers Leverkusen v Hamburg (Backing Leverkusen @ 1.43)
Broncos v Storm (Backing Storm @ 1.53)
Titans v Warriors (Backing Gold Coast Titans @ 1.52)
Reading v Derby (Backing Reading @ 1.6)
Sweetener's/Value Waratahs v Force Line +8.5 (Backing Force @ 1.7) - The Waratah's have severely under-performed at home this season especially in attack, they generally play a defensively style and haven't been playing to their potential. The Force are coming off the back of a 'marvelous losing' performance, if possible, against the heavy hitters the Crusaders. Although the Force were at home, they could have won that game, and for the most part this season, have been in most games. They are on a high and will look to push to gain the 2nd spot in the Australian conference. With an 8.5 start, they are good value against the lacklustre Waratahs, but we should be weary that the Force are not as consistent away.
Rebels v Reds Line – 19 (Backing Reds @ 2.4) - The Reds are one of the contenders for the title this year and they know their way to the try line. With an abundance of attacking talent and flair, they always have points in them. From memory, they defeated the Rebels by 50 odd points earlier in the season, and this time I see a similar result. Without their 2 attacking guns in Cipriani and the other guy who's name eludes me, the Rebels are up for the hanging. This bet is a really good sweetener for a multi imo.
Bolton v Sunderland (Backing Bolton @ 1.81) - As has been stated by Vaughn, backing Bolton here is a very good value bet.
Werder Bremen v Dortmund (Backing Bremen @ 3.4) - Another one that Vaughn explained well, "Werder have had a horrible season, sitting in 13th. 5w/6d/5l home record. -Doubts over the effect that already winning the title will have on Dortmund players. 11w/2d/3l away record, very impressive".
In saying that, perhaps the fact that Dortmund have sealed the title and 'might have' nothing to play for, perhaps even throwing in some more youth (Mitchy might get a run, I hope!), reflects their long odds. Then again, you could say the exact same thing for Hamburg in that they are mid table, safe from the drop and out of contention for Europe. Nonetheless a very good bet and at a premium price.
I am going to put up a list of bets that some of us have repeating in our selections, as well as an in-depth list of possible multiples soon.
The fact that the Rebels v Reds game starts in 40 odd minutes means I am going to eat dinner quickly to get back here and post, and put in my own personal multi in the mean time which includes that bet, cause obviously I like it, so perhaps I'll only make it a few legs...
So, more to come guys, but cheers for the input as it stands.
Note: I get my odds @ Betfair, they tend to give top notch value even after they are slightly reduced when including them in a multi

St George vs NQ Cowboys Overs/Under Total score - Can't see one around at the moment but take unders. These usually sit at around $1.90. Reason for unders is both teams have shown solid defence this year and have over 10 players combined backing up from the test/city v country, they will be tired. There won't be much attacking going on in this game and it will be a similar Souths v Dragons from a few weeks back i feel.
Novak Djokovic vs David Ferrer Head to Head - Novak Djokovic $1.25 Vaughn2111 wrote::lol: I know my post from a few days ago destroys my credibility, but here are my 8 options for this week:

Thanks Imno, from that I like the following
Safe: Bolton @ $1.80 Sporting CP @ $1.33 Leverkusen @ $1.43 Swansea @ $1.50
Value: Dortmund @ $3.50 Mainz @ $2.85 Zaragoza @ $2.05 Napoli @ $2.90
Outsiders: Kaiserslautern @ $7.00
Maybe we get a formula going: for example safe multi: 3x'safe' + 1 x 'value' long odds: 4 x 'safe' + 3 x 'value'
Thoughts???

Nice work lads, sorry went for a drive. I agree with 4+3 for a value multi 4+1 for our safe banker.
It means we all concur and have our Safe and Value lists as, Safe: Bolton @ $1.70 (dropped odds on Betfair) Sporting CP @ $1.33 Leverkusen @ $1.43 Swansea @ $1.50 Villa @ 1.77 (dropped odds)
Value: Dortmund @ $3.50 Mainz @ $2.85 Zaragoza @ $2.05 Napoli @ $2.90 Kaiserslauten @ $6.25 (dropped odds)
So our Long odds Multi of the week will look like this according to Betfair (Safe multi to be confirmed once we all agree on our 4 plus 1 value bet):
Long shot Multi of the week: Bolton Wanderers v Sunderland AFC Backing: Bolton Wanderers Odds: 1.7 Bayer 04 Leverkusen v Hamburger SV Backing: Bayer 04 Leverkusen Odds: 1.43 Aston Villa v Wigan Athletic Backing: Aston Villa Odds: 1.77

You know what sucks imno!? Fucking Betfair are not giving me an option market for win draw or loss on the Napoli game! I don't get it, this type of thing happens sometimes on Betfairs Aus Multi's section. Bit of a downer man. Scratch that, I found it by clicking on more markets, but the bitch was hiding further down then where it's suppose to be. Edited by sanga1: 7/5/2011 08:40:18 PM
