I hate when somebody says the same thing just before me (and usually says it better) I look even more stupid than normal.

Can't say I've found a correlation between what I'm listening to, and what season it is. What I'm in to at any one time seems to be completely random, and most of the time isn't even genre specific.

Quote:“Story Of The Year are one of those rare bands that have to be seen live to be believed” – Faster Louder Known for their spectacular live shows and rapacious anthemic songs, STORY OF THE YEAR has always been willing to push boundaries. Coupled with this an unflagging work ethic for touring its no wonder the bands fanatical Australian fans have long awaited their return. The band's fifth studio album, ‘The Constant’, is unequivocally its finest, building on the strength of past accomplishments, combining the addictive choruses of their platinum selling album ‘Page Avenue’ and the ferocity of ‘In The Wake of Determination’ and ‘The Black Swan’. “With its driving guitars and massive choruses, The Constant is another brilliant album from Story of the Year” - All Music Guide Joining Story Of The Year are Southern California quintet SAOSIN, one of the fastest-growing headliners in rock. Hailed as one of the most anticipated albums of 2009 by Alternative Press, ‘In Search Of Solid Ground’ is a remarkable step forward for the band. “Saosin’s spidery, riff-rocking attack is brawny and nuanced, and they know their way around a big chorus.” - Rolling Stone In 2004 a five piece band from Phoenix, Arizona dug their heels into the dry desert sands and refused to relent. BLESSTHEFALL planted themselves amongst the chaos of competition with sweeping dreams and untainted visions. They quickly become known for their uninhibited personalities and eccentricities, including a love for llamas, hot tamales, and the Top Gun soundtrack. BLESSTHEFALL’s latest effort ‘Witness’ is further proof that they have arrived... “This album is ridiculous! Witness kicks so much ass that I’m convinced it was forged in a volcano”. – Sleeping Under The Subwoofer Three bands sharing a reputation for amazing live performances... Saosin. WOW. There's some serious deja vu. Haven't heard them in years. Time to download "Bury Your Head" and "Voices". This is the stuff I listened to when I begun listening to Thrice. Can see me going through Thursday, Underoath, Circa Survive, etc tonight now. Awesome.

I like blessthefall. They're basically commercial metalcore. I haven't heard their old stuff, but Witness was pretty fine, my favourite tracks were God Wears Gucci, What's Left of Me and 2.0, although that's more of an intro. Craig Mabitt's old band too. Their clean vocalist reminds me of a nasaly Jonny Craig.

I like the Stones as well, my Dad is an epic-ly huge fan...so I grew up listening to them.
My faves would be: Angie, Gimme Shelter, Wild Horses, Jumpin' Jack Flash, Start Me Up.

Diamond Eyes - Deftones. My favourite album so far this year. The real video clip for "Diamond Eyes" is pretty awesome but I can't find it on youtube yet.

On the Rolling Stones...great band. Gimme shleter, sympathy for the devil and paint it black are my favorites. But there aren't really any bad tracks by them. New Gorrilaz one isn't bad either.

It's awesome, very much a summer album relating back to the old discussion about seasonal album's.. i really like how they've put a storyline to the album, and that's been carried out through the vid clips aswell... all the little stories about noodle dying after Demon Days so Murdoc made a cyborg Noodle and 2D is just the coolest mofo going around http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lrvdbQFI2w

Bleeding Through's new album is awesome. Its got a lot of The Truth and Declaration in it, but a lot of CLEAN vocals - which I really think work and sound pretty awesome. Makes it more Melodic, and there's a greater presence of the keyboards. This is only off first listening, but certainly "Breathing In The Wrath" stands out as something special. Real Hardcore. If you want to hear some of the clean vocals, give "Salvation Never Found" a listen.

We've been needing a Hardcore act with some kind of substance to the Bass for quite some time. There's a little more than the recent offerings here. Very well driven. Might check out more of it.
Also got a Melbourne band called MM9's debut album today. It's awesome. If you're into Innerpartysystem, Nine Inch Nails, Aussie Rock, check them out. It's some awesome stuff.

Good job on the Carp album. My favourite Aussie band. If you like moshcore, try their older album, "Nothing To Lose".
I suppose you have Mechanize?
Red Sparowes & High On Fire have new albums out that are apparently pretty good too.
