Looking for some help on finding some Carpathian merch (particularly shirts and/or jumpers). Really struggling to find anywhere on the net where I can actually buy them, though finding lots of their designs about. Any help, or even any shops that any knows of where I can get them would be greatly appreciated. I know I can wait til I see them but there are certain designs I'd love to get.

Nico wrote:This is just AJ trying to get public support so he doesn't have to pay it. I mean, why wouldn't they pay a rent charge for all the days they use it? I'd like to see some exact numbers on this to see if it is all the council, or if this is a fairly basic expectation, but where AJ and crew don't see the same $$$ because the smaller capacity and so they figure they can make it more appealing to the bands if the tour is shorter? Furthermore, if this new tax is so bad for Soundwave, I expect we'd hear from BDO and other festivals pulling out. I'm sure there is more to come. Interesting, and dissapointing for those in Adelaide. He's basically havingh a sook to get the rent down. There's no way that the Adelaide council can demand a cut of the tickets as well as charging them for the land. It's just AJ doing what he does and playing the public off against someone who won't give him what he wants. Quote:Anyone heard the new Eminem song? Not bad as a first impression. It's largely because Recovery has a much higher influence from Dr Dre and he's not just executive producer this time. Quote:Dead Letter Circus new album. Farken awesome. Bigger and better than than Sound Awake?

Apparently Wolfmother have been asked to support Metallica. Stockdale reportedly said it on Triple M.
Suddenly pretty happy I'm not going.

Suddenly pretty happy I'm not going. What's wrong with that. If you go, you can proudly say you saw Metallica and Led Zep in the same concert.

Was thinking last night, despite me earlier post about there not being very many good albums this year, it's looking like a fantastic year for the Australian Rock/Metal scene. New albums from Gyroscope, House vs Hurricane, The Amity Affliction, MM9, Parkway Drive, Dead Letter Circus, are all looking like being excellent albums. Parkway the clear favourite.
Speaking of 2010 albums, listened to Bullet's new album the other day, not bad. More Trivium-Lite stuff like Scream Aim Fire, but some decent tracks. New As I Lay Dying is next up to the plate.

Can someone tell me why rock bands (particularly metal it seems) include umlauts in their names?
eg. Mötley Crüe, Green Jellö, Motörhead

It's common knowledge that the more umlauts are in a band's name, the more metal they are. :P

Sounds awesome. Does remind me a bit of Enter Sandman and Alice Cooper though.

Anybody doing the live gigs in melbourne thing, there's a band called Carouselle hitting the scene that do a Funk-rock thing that's really pretty damn good. Worth sticking around if you see the're on a set list.
