it's rugby league - a scrum is a rest-break for the forwards, and nothing more.

hehe well nothing like nrl refs effing up as always...but no matter what the Blues set the foundation in the 1st half near on everything went their way for a pleasant change. The Gal incident is origin full stop imo, he let out what we all feel over the years, calling anything like that a dog act is ridiculous for what about the hundreds of cheap shots done by both teams over the years. I laughed at Fatty making a thing of it re Gal for usually when its one of their own being the aggressor he fobs it off that its origin. One small step.

it's rugby league - a scrum is a rest-break for the forwards, and nothing more. Actually it's there to soak up the forwards so that the back line can move (more then a rest break). Think if League went back to contested scrums it'd be a totally different (and better) game imo. -PB

If refs did their job properly shit wouldn't need to get out of hand that badly. -PB

Yes I wish scrums were contested as once was. International and super rugby may be boring but I find most Shute Shield matches better viewing than most rugby league matches.

Sorry fellas I just can't agree re Shute Shield. Having had the luxury being a teen watching real attacking rugby ala Ellas/Campese etc in the Galloping Greens era in their prime its nowhere near as good but then again most of you wouldn't have seen what it once was.

Quote:CANTERBURY'S superstar fullback Ben Barba was spat on and abused by Manly fans as he left the field after last nights extra time victory over the Sea Eagles.
The Bulldogs have lodged an official complaint with the NRL after it was revealed his team mate Dene Halatau was also spat on.
Bulldogs boss Todd Greenberg last night confirmed the players had been spat at.
“The behaviour of the fans was disgraceful,” Greenberg said. “We’ve complained to the NRL and they will be looking at Channel Nine footage to try to identify the fans.”
Greenberg, who joins the NRL next month, was critical of the lack of security as the players left the field. Fucking Manly fans.

Suck it Manly. Horrible club, horrible fans with a ground that is stuck so far in the 80's it's laughable.

Ok so Ferguson officially charged with Indecent Assault and it's expected he'll be stood down from the NSW side tonight and I wouldn't be surprised if the Raiders sack him sooner rather than later.

What an idiot. I still don't get why an elite athlete goes out and gets on the piss during the season and out of all the people he could be with it was Dugan. #-o But given our predicament at the Broncos, if we could pick him up at a reasonable price I'd take him.

I really hope he's suspended for the rest of the season or for 12 months or something like that. Doesn't deserve another chance and the Raiders don't deserve to see another player go somewhere else and perform.

As for who will replace him in the NSW side, I'd like to see Daley try something different and shift Morris to the wing and bring in Idris to centre. It won't happen but would love to see it.
