Sure there will be afl trolls saying their game is better, but the afl made all their suburban melbourne grounds redundant, but suburban footy grounds in melbourne dont get that environment that the NRL gets at a brookvale, kogarah oval or leichhardt on a perfect sunday afternoon. Mainly because the weather in Sydney is conducive to such an experience, whereas its mostly cold, wet and muddy in Melbourne and its suburbs Granted when it rains, or if the games are on at the wrong time slot, its a complete different story, and nobody turns up and rugby league crowds are subject to ridicule, but I actually dont mind it if the NRL would try to preserve these suburban grounds, its sunday afternoon and its the greatest chance at getting that magical atmosphere that very few sports in Australia actually get Yes very true above in bold - I even was annoyed for the dogs having to leave belmore, its just not the same anymore. Heck I used to go to nth syd oval - another great ground. Refs are there any good ones left  path of the course - I don't think it was much better long ago for that matter just that the errors are more obvious due to the tech available the constant replays - do away with this and people wouldn't bitch as much  Your right sydcro - those donkeys can't run anything right but looking to the $$$$ contracts - all sydney games played at night at Allianz/Homebush they'd be happy.

I stopped caring about AFL when they left their suburban grounds, it feels very sanitised and bland with everyone in the same grounds. The best thing the NRL could do is be able to set it's own schedule with no interference from TV and have more of a focus on day time games on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at 3pm, even if they overlap. Sod the tv deal number, it's not like the game sees much at grassroots anyway.

That was the worst game I've seen Cowboys play in a decade. Stood an applauded those young Sharks players tonight, they did incredibly well. -PB

I was back in Aus for a little while and watch my first few NRL games in quite a while. What a fucking farce every 2nd game is decided by bullshit calls. The commentators are as crap as ever and diving is a thing.
Is it just me or is the NRL a dying sport?

How is that not a penalty try or at the very least a sin bin. (for the professional foul).

Has there been 1 round this season where every club wore their complete uniform ? I don't think so, there seems to be a different gimmick every week.

Indiginious round, women round, hero round, men round, blue sock round, hi vis round. The NRL has got pretty tacky, hope it doesn't creep into the A-League.
