Very good chance he'll completely fuck it up. Being in the Shire was what got him in trouble in the first place while he was with us.

99 Problems wrote:sydneycroatia58 wrote::lol: And there are people who still believe Barba went to Brisbane for family/homesick reasons. Might be a bit harsh. He had no choice to stay in Brisbane with Darius coming in, and Bennett let Hoffman know earlier about being cut so the Titans option went away. Part of his contract was also getting his brother a contract at the club. I've been told by someone (far from my best source) that the Bulldogs weren't/aren't interested in him ever coming back, which from what I do 100% know of the things he did whilst there is the correct decision. I think either way this is a bad bit of business by the Broncos. I would have kept either Hoffman or Barba over Boyd. It's been a long time since he's even looked first grade quality at club level. His only capable performances in over 12 months have been on the wing being fed on a silver platter by Inglis. But Barba to Cronulla of all places  Will 100% lead to trouble at some stage  Yeah club had absolutely zero interest in ever taking him back. They cut every single tie when he was let go. We have a better FB and better 5/8 anyway so no loss.

Quote:Everyone needs to understand that if you are violent against women, there is no place for you in rugby league How the NRL can say this with a straight face while Robert Lui is still playing is genuinely hilarious

Beginning to think news outlets should just have a daily column of which NRL star got kicked out of a club on the night before. -PB

Trailing 10 OfficialsThis had to be the most cringeworthy move by the NRL in the history of achieving perfectionism on the playing field 10 referees? It might as well be three teams out there, the home team, the away team, and the refs! Cant we just go with 1 ref and just stick with his decision?

Still don't know why they keep saying the All Stars game could be in jeopardy with attendances. Move it the fuck out of the Gold Coast ffs. Can guarantee you it would sell out Townsville (25k) every year if they played it here. Maybe it's something the council needs to get onboard with the new stadium being built. -PB

Yep. Townsville is the obvious choice. Only issue would be surely it's still hot as fuck up there? Only 3 weeks before round 1 I guess. The very least move it to Brisbane.

I'm going to be honest here I don't like the concept and I never will. I'm reminded of an article on the roar a few years ago http://www.theroar.com.au/2010/02/14/sport-should-unite-race-and-colour-not-segregate/With the dwindling crowds I suspect a number of other League supporters feel the same way.

This whole talk of DCE 1.3million a season is unbelievable, no doubt it will be good off the park for the Titans and he has so much potential but that type of money is absurd. He's been regressing in the last 18 months, wasn't in the top 5 half backs last season, was a failure in Origin and was poor for Australia (against proper nations), does not deserve that type of money.

Reality is he will win another premiership in his career, so its the thought of buying a very likely premiership that drives the price up. I don't like these type of signings though because if things aren't going well he will still get good money at a good club. It only works if the Titans resign him again.
