Roar_Brisbane wrote:This whole talk of DCE 1.3million a season is unbelievable, no doubt it will be good off the park for the Titans and he has so much potential but that type of money is absurd. He's been regressing in the last 18 months, wasn't in the top 5 half backs last season, was a failure in Origin and was poor for Australia (against proper nations), does not deserve that type of money. Well, DCE management and pursing clubs don't agree with you  What a fast back flip pass by the dood. I just can't get that excited yet of the coming season, all the problems at hand, nrl honchos are such a joke, is David Smith any good at all for the game ? They are at 9's and 7's looking for answers/concepts to keep up with modern times ? Desperate times ?

I'm the opposite, really excited I was impressed with the boys in England and our forwards look great. Although our wingers have me concerned Reed & Vidot add Maranta as back up as well, What has happened to the specialist winger? Dell, Lote, Yow Yeh, Folau, Tupou, Walker, Tate, Boyd even Winterstein.

Oi RB, Manly are not that stoopid - but as for Parra after many years of squandering countless $$$$ they have decided were their target for player pool talent :x can't blame them considering they have been shyte for so many years :d Your opposite for you have your old Master back and regeneration - been a while teams being anxious playing broncos, maybe just maybe you may deliver.

Good night for Manly. Gutherson suspected ACL, Foran's done his hamstring and DCE announced as signing with the Titans.

Unbelievable after being thumped in R1 DCE is in the sheds telling his teammates he's changing clubs, would not be impressed if I was a Manly fan. A real shame about Gutherson though.

Had no one tonight, Parker as captain last night was a massive let down though, GI & Reynolds were great though.

Just as the broncs a good kick up the arse the eagles got. Not surprised tbh with all the crap that keeps going on in the background, Choc would have been laughing inside. Look how well Glen Stuart played for the bunnies and the rest of ours in parra lol....... Enjoy it T-UNIT - you've been in the crapola for years :d

So happy to see how easy we walked all over the Cowboys, and with our most influential player out injured. Mitchell Pearce has been close to the best player in the NRL since being dropped by NSW last year. Hope he doesn't get picked again this year, will help us massively. As much as I thought both would drop off this season, Souths and the Roosters have shown they are head definitely going to be the teams to beat again. Unbelievable coaching to keep those teams so strong.
Great to see what Parra perform. Even without Hayne I think they'll improve this year

Honestly think you would be title contenders if you kept him. Will work out great in the long run though if you can keep Hopa at fullback and get Foran at 5/8 with the same money

Can someone explain how Rabbitohs are 1st ahead of Parramatta? Both are on +30 but Parra has scored 42 to Souffs's 36. Unless they take in points conceded over points scored, in which Souffs with 6 would top Parra's 12.

Same problem as last season, we need to learn a game goes for 80 fucking minutes. All well and good to come back and go close, but we shouldn't be 24-0 down in the fucking first place.
Patience is quickly running out with Reynolds.

If this stuff about us being interested in Foran is legit I'd take him over Reynolds in a fucking second.

Just started getting into the NRL can anyone tell once they get tackled how long they have to play the ball back. Also how do they judge where they kick for a conversion after a try

Edited by thejollyvic: 9/3/2015 08:25:23 PM Play the ball as in under the foot? It comes down to the ref on the field imo. If you watch Super League in England it's a lot lot faster than NRL, none of this holding the man down and have him flop like a fish. As for the kick, it's usually in line with where the try was scored, distance out from the sticks is set by the kicker's preference. -PB

Still don't think either of your halves are good enough. Hodkinson is a quality player think he's going to struggle in the future with injuries though. Reynolds on the other hand is just a talent-less filthy grub and there are a number of players in state leagues and the twenties better than him. Just quietly I think the Storm have done a great job at development and recruiting in the past 18 months, would take Finucane, Koroibete, Nona, Munster, Fonua in a heartbeat.

Reynolds out for 6-8 weeks with a fracture in his arm. Could be a blessing in disguise for us. Hopefully Mbye comes in and kills it, have to assume that might be the end of any chance of Origin for Reynolds, if there was any to begin with.
