I'd say Melbourne's spot in the 8 is pretty safe now with their differential.

Dragons the only ones who aren't safe or all but safe I think, and even then it would require losing a game and Manly beating both the Roosters and the Sharks.

Well mathematically as of right now the Storm & Dogs aren't safe but it would take one hell of a capitulation from them and for Manly to win both of there matches to knock one of those out. Very unlikely given the fixtures.

Hence the safe or all but safe ;)

I had hopes :) but when you lose twice to parra you got to accept your not up to it.

Should get the win against the Roosters on Friday. Roosters have too many quality players out.

Storm loss is great for us. Means they now need to lose just 1 of their last two games against the Broncos and Cowboys for us to finish above them provided we win our last 2 games.

Tigers giving Farah the flick - good call IMO.

I can see him either play at Parramatta, or probably join his cousins at Canterbury.

My first thoughts were he'd fit in nicely at the Rabbitohs but man I can see the Titans being incredibly foolish here.

Bulldogs are no chance. Wouldn't want him either.

and rightly so if you are basing on this seasons performances and not past reputation, as well as factoring in the future of the club and where Farah is at.

The following clubs don't need him (as their current hookers are performing well and it could even be argued better than Farah):

Broncos: McCullough
Bulldogs: Lichaa
Cowboys: Granville
Dragons: Rein
Eels: Peats
Panthers: Segeyaro
Raiders: Hodgson
Roosters: Friend
Sharks: Ennis
Storm: Smith
Warriors: Luke

Farah will be 32 next season, he has had a few injury problems the last few seasons and has missed a few games, performance is declining and plenty of talk around about being toxic.

Manly: Have already invested in Koroisau & Parcell for next season (as well as having Ballin on the books)
Titans: Yes they could use a big name but they need to be looking at the future not a short term signing on big dollars who will retire in a few years time.


So for me that only leaves the Knights & Souths.

The Knights could be anything next season they have the makings of a good squad.
Souths have lost Luke and are still trying to compete - would be the best move imo.

Obviously it all comes down to the salary cap but this my take on it.

Rabbitohs have confirmed that they will not be signing Farah for next season.

Brisbane are playing scarily good atm. I couldn't imagine anyone beating them if they keep this up.

The idea was to play games on smaller grounds on the monday nights because its good for tv, and the onus is not too much on the stadium to be filled. Belmore for example.

They should go back to playing Saturday afternoon games like they used to in the 90s.

Why they continue with Thursdays and Mondays really is beyond me.
