Cleared to play. Wow. Bit farcical for those during the season that got suspended for similar tackles. -PB

-PB Well Geuraa did basically say that he dived during the hearing and jumped and dove into the ground. What would you do after that?

Yep Guerra fully admitted to attempting to get above the horizontal to gain a penalty.

On that note, what the fuck is wrong with Guerra, what sane person throws themselves headfirst at the ground just to get a fucking penalty. Should be banned himself.

Yeah but seriously Guerra should be thrown under the Bus for doing a fucking dangerous act to milk a penalty.

sydneycroatia58 wrote:I'd also love to have seen what would have happened if Hodges and Guerra weren't QLD teammates This is the reality. They're mates, and he helped out Hodges for that reason. I think you'll find plenty of instances as well of players intentionally getting themselves slightly above the horizontal to win a penalty, even though it is idiotic. At the end of it all I'm happy though. For all his on field incidents, off the field Hodgo is genuinely one of the best blokes I've had anything to do with in footy

Admitting to diving is going to be extremely damaging to Guerra's career. He's going to face the consequences of his actions. I really doubt it would be "just helping a mate" as he still has his career to look out for. Though i do agree that if it were someone he didn't know he might just let things roll out and potentially not admit but it wasn't just "i'll take all the blame for my mate hodgo".

It does make Robinson's comment earlier in the year about how the Roosters don't play for penalties hilarious.

Christ NRL this pregame build up is utterly crap compared to yesterday. Dubstep and Smoke bombs for "Pre Game Hype", Band of Brothers references and music for retiring players and dragging out Cold Chisel for another pointless pre-game show.

The band of brothers bullshit has got to be the most overused cliché in Australian sport. I cringe every time i hear it

Fuck. Needed to go into half time in front Need to cancel out that penalty asap. Two cock ups leading to two tries, we wont be able to sustain any kind of back to back sets off our line. -PB

Jonathon Thurston now has the mantle as the worst tattoo I have ever seen.
Dem angel wings.
They need their own float at the mardi gras next year.

Thurston's kick hitting the post almost as big as Benny Elias's field goal hitting the cross bar in '89.
