The Golden Point set to be debatedI was left with an empty feeling after melbourne storm kicked a golden point against wests tigers on sunday evening, (even though it is sport and the team that werent better sometimes wins) but melbourne winning was not indicative of how the game went. But how it was a game of attrition was decided by a drop goal

In the finals just play golden try.

The idea that we should play golden try over golden point because people don't like fieldgoal shootouts is ridiculous, if you can win a game in regular time via a field goal, penalty goal or a try it should be no different in extra time.
But with that said I've always hated golden point, in the regular season a draw is perfectly acceptable in the finals it should be your regular extra time.
Yea Thursday night footy is actually great means we only have to get through Tuesday and Wednesday now.

Instead of Souths being penalized for a blatant trip and Carter being sent to the bin , with us on the attack 14-0 up the ref has given soft penalty after soft penalty for Souths and now its 14-8. Just great.

-PB Bit harsh, from memory he took over a struggling Parra and got them into the finals in his first season, then moved to the basket case that was Souths and went alright there was only sacked for that altercation with Fa'alogo. Then he went back to the NYC and did some good work there, certainly deserved another chance. He's certainly done some dumb things as the Tigers coach that's for sure. It's funny though up until this weekend they weren't going that bad and should really have been 4-3.

It's funny though up until this weekend they weren't going that bad and should really have been 4-3. He's inherited a horrific situation with how they're salary cap is being spent. Brown is in the same situation at Newcastle. Will take either club 2-3 seasons to recover from what they walked into. Having said that performances like last night aren't acceptable and he can't afford many more like that

Wasn't it something like extra time x2 halfs, than first to score or something? I think something like that should decide the game. That said, it shouldn't be changed mid season. Any changes needs to be at seasons start/off season.

Hope things aren't too bad for Kieran Foran. Hopefully he can bounce back and get himself sorted.
So far this Souths performance is the worst of the season so far by any team. Just awful

Honestly, if we had even just an average forward pack we'd be one of the worst sides in the comp. Won't go close to winning a comp until we have a half who can actually dominate.
