Poulsen tends to be a bit clumsy in his first season, but after that becomes a gun. I always seem to buy Marco Sau early on as well. Only a 73-75 player, but nippy and effective. Double your money when you sell him after a year too. Poulsen was a gun for me in his first season. I signed him in January and got like 12 goals in 16 games. Though the next two seasons he was useless so I sold him to RB Leipzeig. Leonardo Bittencourt was quite a handy player for me by the way.

anyone know why my backline keep getting really low ratings? my defence is fairly solid. i consistently have the lowest goals conceded in the league.
i try no to use the defensive line other than to play the ball out - my fb's push high up in attack - my midfield does all the leg work. any ideas? its affecting my player development. Have never been concerned by the ratings - I only use them to gauge how my players are doing against each other (is this central defender better than that one, where do I need to strengthen, etc.) but it impacts upon their growth. the players that grow in stats are the ones that get good player ratings On my previous game I had spent a lot of time scouting, coaching, developing a group of young future stars - AM, DM, and LB... All looked likely to push into the first team at 19(ish), having had them since 15... Then I got the sack (first summer after winning the Euro League) and all three were gone. It's one of the reasons that I'm not even bothering with developing players this time - just trading up, player by player. fair enough. im playing the long game with them. i recruit all australian and i manage the aus NT as well. we are going to win the 2022/2026 world cup. im currently in the asian qualifying for 2022. we have china, india and NZ in the group. seems legit. ill put up my NT squad soon. mooy is captain on 78/79 playing as the deep defensive mid. sainsbury and leckie are starters. i dont think anyone else is from the real world NT. Edited by inala brah: 9/4/2016 08:43:30 PM If I had the patience... Meanwhile, had a flyer of a run - in the Prem, played 9 - won 7 and drew 2, only conceded 1 goal in the 9 games... Now on a run of 2 draws and 2 defeats from 4 in the league and out of Europe. Bugger. that hurts. my goals this season are to win the league, win the champions league and win the fa cup. bullshit. the australia NT squad for 2021... i dont think we will be winning this world cup. but we are going to be deadly in 2026 4-2-3-1 ---------------------------------------Matt Ryan 79 (29yrs) Morgan 75------------Sainsbury 73--------------Jackson 75------------Davo 72 (youth - 18)------------(29)------------------------------(yth 20)-------------(30) -------------------Martin 81-----------------------------Mooy (c) 78 ---------------------(youth19)-------------------------------(31) ------Kelly 77-------------------------------------------------------------Price 79 ---------(yth 19)-----------------------------------------------------(yth21) -----------------------------------Edwards 80 ---------------------------------------(yth20) --------------------------------Jackson 78 (yth 21) most of the youth have "the potential to be special" and i have a 19 year old keeper with the same who starts at my club. we are going to be huge in 2026. just need a pair of fullbacks to come through. I started career mode and made a massive shortlist of young players with <12 months remaining. Got to January with them all having 6 months remaining and none of them have the option to enter pre-contract talks It's now Feb and most have 5 months and still can't.
I'm sure when I played career mode on the PS3 I signed several players this way to sell for money but have totally failed this time
What the hell am I not understanding? Did a cursory google search and didn't get any decent answers as it's such a simple thing to do I guess...
Either way have enjoyed starting career again after upgrading console as I know which young players turned out well for me and signing them a shit load younger and cheaper aha Haven't played FIFA for a while but I think they need to be aged 23 or older for pre contracts. 24 i think http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/holloway-blames-bosman-ruling-for-rooney-saga-2113007.html

Just started an Arsenal career mode, clearing out a shit ton of deadwood. How do I get the most out of my youth scouts and youth academy?
For the first time, but certainly not the last, I began to believe that Arsenals moods and fortunes somehow reflected my own. - Hornby

World class, only rule I've set is to not use the Bosman system...
5th, 5th, 6th (but won league cup), 4th, 6th...
Qualified for Champions Cup due to that 4th place in season 4 - finished 2nd in group stage to Real, then beat Barcelona, Real and Man Utd in knockout rounds, before an amazing night in Berlin vs Bayern Munich. Down to 10 men, and 2-1 down with 90 minutes gone - levelled with the last kick of the game, then scored twice in extra time to secure an epic 4-2 win... Best moment on FIFA... THEN sacked after performance review.
Trying very hard to play on at Leeds in the Championship - have already managed to sign two members of the Euro Cup squad, including Poulsen who scored a hattrick in Berlin... Aiming to piss the Championship, then go up and smash Sunderland for having the nerve to sack me.

Edited by Benjamin: 12/2/2016 03:41:23 PM It's too easy to get money by buying and reselling free agents. 4k in wages for an 18yr old who you can sell after starting for 6 months for 1mil. Something virtually impossible to do on FM
