continues to put information about a state team in the wrong section. Constantly starting threads about a state team so that he can put it in the wrong section. Casually threatens the editor of the website he is using
Check, check, check Next step, complain to everyone that the reason he got booted is because of racism.

PAOKTZI wrote:THE OLYMPIC REVOLUTION IS ON THE GREEKS ARE COMINGTOGETHER TO FUCK YOU ALL And you wonder why noone listens to the shit you spout? Mate, you should go back to Greece and talk like that, your "motherland" would fucking disown you. Olympic will never be in the HAL for this reason... So why do you even try? Ah. Greece, the land that spawned such geniuses as Plato, Socrates and Aristotle.. Apparently, their offspring now want to "fuck" us all. Just thought it was relevant seeing as though PAOKTZI felt the need to include an ethical viewpoint, "bad", about Lowy. Congratulations. You make the Blue and White something to be proud of. will get our revenge all thsi because we didnt support him 30 years ago what a bad man Frank Lowy? Oh, he completely changed the face of football in Australia for the good of the game. Introduced a brand new league, which can attract quality players, the likes of Jason Culina, Dwight Yorke, Robbie Fowler, etc. This has resulted in season with crowd averages at 10,000 or above. Has also, lead our bid for a World Cup and an Asian Cup, qualified us for 2 World Cups, employed some very good managers in Pim Verbeek and Guus Hiddink. What else am I missing?

THE ONYL THING FRANK LOWY did good for the game is intorduce us to asia that is it full stop.
Stop making up rumours the qualifications to the world cup were NSL squads and had nothing to do with frank lowy.
these players that have come to the a-league big deal these types of players have come to the NSL feren puskas???? Ian Rush??? and the list goes on nothing different.
Now he knows 2018 he wont get the world cup ehs moved the world cup bid over to the federal goverment what so good bout that.
Be honets and realistic dont just say shit boys

Be honets and realistic dont just say shit boys Oh yea, that I forgot. Frank Lowy got us into Asia. THE turning point of Australian football. Do you mean the qualification games where we were playing the likes of American Samoa? "...FRANK LOWY did good for the game is intorduce us to asia" Exactly. He introduced us to Asia and that has lead us to become a dominant force in Asia and us qualifying for consecutive World Cups. Now we are not considered pushovers. What do you mean nothing different? Ian Rush. The same player who was 40 years old and only played 2 games? Could you honestly have seen Jason Culina coming home at the age of 28, to come back and play in the NSL? No. The only reason he did was because he knows the A-League is much better quality, with more media attention, better crowds, better coverage and because now football in Australian is considered one of the big codes. If you cannot see this, then you are kidding yourselves. Even though there have been hints and whipsers about the World Cup going to Europe in 2018, he is still pushing for it, and if it does happen to go to England or Russia or Spain/Portugal or Netherlands/Belgium, then so be it, he will continue to push for 2022. What is wrong with that?

IN MORE SYDNEY OLYMPIC NEWS THE CLUB IS PUMPING HARD EVERYDAY SEASON PASSES ARE GOING OUT MASSIVE STUFF I would rate Kuwait, Indonesia and Oman all ahead of American Samoa, Tahiti, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Fiji, Samoa. Jason Culina wrote:I can already see that Australian football has made giants strides forward. It is run very professionally and the facilities are excellent,” Culina, 29, said.
The game has also improved from a tactical and physical perspective.
This was when he joined Gold Coast. Quote:Culina revealed that had today’s level of professionalism been in existence in the 90s he would not have jetted off to Europe at 20.
"I would not have gone so soon, that’s for sure,” he said.
The only thing he said the NSL was superior in was that it rellied more on Aussie players whereas the A-League has a lot of focus on the foreigners.

We have a World Cup to look forward to, a growing league- that is just going to get better (in terms of quality, derbies, more teams, more media coverage), a successful World Cup bid to hopefully look forward to, some current Euro based Aussie to come back to Australia. We all want to Australian football to progress, so just support it. I want every state league club to progress, I want all A-League clubs to progress, I want the Socceroos to progress.

(when did that ever happen in the NSL, never) if you thing its getting bigger and better then your deluded. HAL would grow in terms of more clubs, but then crowd averages would go down. Clubs bar melbourne would be struggling to get 5k. you say you want soccer to progess etc, what about the ex NSL clubs that were left in the wilderness? that are now into state league, that can only get $3000 transfers for players, which is a roart, how do you think those clubs will survive? and now if your going to say you dont care, they your being a hypocrite. now finally, your a current adelaide fan, but a future Canberra fan...thats a big  your probably the bloke, who has never had a club to support correct? you never had an attachment to a club? how does it feel, supporting a club and waiting for a club that is still non existant...thats as bad as the rovers fans going to the fc match...did you know what "soccer" was pre 2005?

Just accept that the A-league is here to stay, So why can't YOU accept it? We are going through a rough patch but as I said before lots of leagues have had this. All the big leagues in Asia had this as did the MLS. No the clubs were never run by Soccer Australia in the old NSL, instead they completely collapsed because they had NO money and NO support. I want to football to succeed on the field and off the field and I believe the FFA should do their all to make sure this happens. This starts from the Grass roots of Junior football all the way to the Socceroos. And that includes the old NSL clubs. I want to see them in some sort of FFA cup sometime in the future and I believe the FFA should try and help these clubs off the field. I am actually content to stick with Adelaide for the time being if that means success for football in Australia. I re-iterate, I only want what is best for football in Australia. And the A-League is that.

Just accept that the A-league is here to stay, So why can't YOU accept it? We are going through a rough patch but as I said before lots of leagues have had this. All the big leagues in Asia had this as did the MLS. No the clubs were never run by Soccer Australia in the old NSL, instead they completely collapsed because they had NO money and NO support. ....And how good were Sydney Fc this week. It is great for a city like Sydney who are soon to have another awsome team, to see Sydney FC challenge for the title.
Obviously they are the best team the city of Sydney has ever seen, but true to the A-leagues form, all the teams are superior to what was around say 10-20 years ago. So its great to see them back in the mix for honors.
Good luck boys!

Hey did you ever notice how quick the games are becoming. Some of the counter attacks remind me of the bigger Euorpean leagues when they counter in terms of speed.
Remember all those years ago, wwhen football in Australia was amature, players would die to get out to learn some skills. Now they can stay in Australia longer, and get a shot at a larger league O.S.
I still remember when we used to cover up our lack of pace as being better players technically, but in reality we were just slow :) good times.
Our killer combination Better Speed - Better Size - Better technical play - gotta love how the A-league has transformed our game in this way

Benjamin will probably argue there is nothing anti semitic in this. They find this guy too funny to dump and it get people posting. The White Australia Policy is not the greatest part of Australia's history. Not a fan of it being used lightly in putdowns. "Rednecks" tag at football fans is so weak it is not insulting. He should cop it for the jewish battle, he wont. Its like Random Hero saying Greece is just a state of Turkey. Being either grossly provocative or very stupid (or both). Wont even get a warning for that.

I think its great that you can support your team, the one you've always supported. I think its fine that you believe that 5 years of your clubs history is not equal to 5 years of mine. And I think keeping on topic in threads is important. But I also know that between you 2 SydOlympic posters here %50 of you spam the A-league stories. Now if I cant read a story with out sporadic threats and accusations of a racist nature, all while trying to skew the talk away from the topic onto Sydney Olympic - well I may as well be in this thread, talking my teams and league up as it contains the same racist comments and accusations as being posted Through out the site.

I have to add this...
I've just read this thread from start to finish - it starts as a supporter promoting his club. Multiple threads, yeah; wrong forum, yeah (but it was moved); but supporting and promoting his club... Then a bunch of you jump in and start hanging shit on him. If he wants to promote his club, if he wants to show his pride, then leave him alone to do it... If he jumps on an A-League thread and starts abusing you - then by all means have a go at him - but the thread is where it belongs, and the point of it didn't appear to be to incite.
All of you, grow up.

OK, we can all agree some of the responses from us are a little bit out of line, but that is only in response to the stuff he writes up. It is all good for him to promote his club, if only every club in Australia could promote their club, football would be the biggest code in this country by far. But when he is posting these types of comments, how could people possibly be enticed into becoming a fan of Sydney Olympic? Edited by proud2becanberran: 14/2/2010 01:42:48 PM

But the vast majority of his negative comments are in direct response to the posts that non-Olympic fans have made.
If there had been no negative response, the only comment he would have had would have been the "grass roots" comment - and if he wasn't receiving such negative response it's quite possible (though by no means guaranteed) that he wouldn't have reacted so sharply to the transfer of forums.
As for the last bit - if he sells the club badly, that's his problem. Not our job to protect their image, only to secure 'free speech for all'.

Mate, I'd love to see just one pro-Olympic thread in which nobody jumped in with negative comments. See how the Olympic supporters behave then - I think you'd be surprised. Take you and I for example. A Newcastle fan and a Sunderland fan, I spend a lot of time chatting about Newcastle - and I think it's reasonable chat, and I believe you appreciate the opinions I put forward. Do you think we'd be half as civil, if at all, if I jumped on your Newcastle thread and started bitching and slagging the club off for being relegated, etc.? No. I have a little joke about it, then move on - and you knew, and you still know, that I'm treating your club with respect. In short, if you don't approve of the Olympic threads - ignore them and they will soon disappear from your front screen. Jump in and have a go, and you know it's going to turn into a shit fight.

i think we should invade gallipoli again and put these kids on the front line.
tedious whispers of a football movement sadly lacking any engagement with the public, just insular ethnic 'packs' and the mentality to go with it
olympic fans seem to be the worst of the bunch, not that i even know anything about olympic as a club

the crowd was 2500, now everyone relax
1350 was scanned barcodes the uner 16 year old get in for free their was over 1000 of them their, massive numbers from the kids, as facebook has been going off they all know olympic as their families club its was fantastic
THE BIGGEST PROBLMES TO THE CROWD was the weather and playing sutherland other than that it was a large crowd in a competition with no media so two and a hafl thousand was brilliant.
WELL DONE OLYMPIC
let me also tell u guys their was over 100 people in the boxes and the dollar value in their was way over a billion dollars the sydney olympic board itself comes to over 300 million and you people think we cant do it what a joke

Following the match, Sydney Olympic striker Matthew Mayora expressed his delight with the win:
“It was a good win for us.
“First-half we were a bit scrappy but in the second-half I thought we played some really great football so it is great to start the season with a win. It was good to be at home in front of a big crowd as well.’’

The crowd was 1350. They need to count everybody for safety reasons. You are full of shit. Your revolution is dead before it even started. You lose. Try again next season.

yellow is aek the other one is panseraikos Hey Alex, why do you spend all your time calling the A-League plastic and trolling around telling everyone that the A-League will collapse, and the every blog you write for the roar, you finish by talking about SO getting into a hypothetical A2 League. You can't have it both ways.

A fat midfielder and a guy who did'nt impress at Perth? Again, I wish no harm on your club, but god your a moron.

http://www.sydneyolympicfc.com/news/2010/03/04/triantis-ready-for-sydney-united-threat/Triantis ready for Sydney United threat posted by on March 4, 2010 Sydney Olympic’s silky midfielder Chris Triantis is eagerly anticipating the clash against former NSL giants and 2009 Premiers Sydney United at Belmore Sports Ground this Saturday evening. The talented former Newcastle Jets star played a pivotal role in Sydney Olympic’s 2-0 opening round victory over 2009 Champions Sutherland Sharks last weekend where he found himself on the scoresheet. “It was important that we got off on the right foot and the victory against the Sharks was a morale booster for the players and fans. “I am slowly getting match fit again as I am not 100% yet but of course it is always good getting on the scoresheet. “I know we will need to be up for it this Saturday as Sydney United are and have always been a tough team to beat.” David Zdrilic’s men stormed home to a romping 4-1 victory over newly promoted NSW Premier League side Rockdale City Suns with Elsid Barkhousir bagging a hat-trick. Triantis believes that United have key players across all areas and has stressed the importance of Sydney Olympic gaining a positive result in front o f what he hopes will be a vocal and parochial home crowd. “You cannot really point the finger at just one individual at United they have really good players across the park. “United have a great squad there is no doubt about that I know it will be an entertaining match but we need to be at our best to achieve a positive result. “We understand though that we don’t want to take any team in the NSW Premier League lightly as in my opinion 2010 will be a very tight competition.” Triantis is hoping that Blues fans turn out in full voice this Saturday in a bid to cheer their team to a hopeful victory after a promising crowd of 1,350 turned up for Olympic’s opening match. “I really do hope we get more fans this Saturday and I believe Sydney United will bring a fair few too which will be great for the game. “The players get a huge buzz playing in front of a big crowd and it’s obviously great for the sport. “We hope to get the three points for the club and our fans.” For the record, six current Sydney United players in Peter Zorbas, Shane Lyons, Damon Collina, Michael Cindric, Roger Galayini and George Strogylos all wore the Sydney Olympic jersey at some stage during their careers so the six will be hoping that they can assist in the Reds’ push for a Premiership charge with a win on Saturday. ^^^^ Quote:For all those used to watching A-League matches with no travelling fans, Saturday night at Belmore Sports Ground showed what a real local derby is all about.
The Olympic fans were out in large numbers, and the Edensor Park fans wanted to out show their arch-rivals. In the end, it added much color and noise to the game and produced a great atmosphere.
A picturesque night was met by a large crowd of approximately 2,500 who made their way to Belmore to watch Sydney United score a lucky 1-0 victory over Sydney Olympic in round two of the NSW Premier League. Where are these people getting these figures from? Wasn't there only about 20 Olympic fans in the supporters group? Did he not watch Sydney FC vs Melbourne Victory?

Fuck you have to be the biggest moron I have had the displeasure of encountering in footballing circles, and I have encountered quite a few in my years. You have evidence that 8k free tickets were given away do you Alex? That’s EIGHT THOUSAND, 4x as many people who turned up to Belmore on Saturday night…Your also saying that 8 thousand people turned up to the game because they were given free tickets, where did they get these tickets from? I actually do not expect you to answer this, as true to form with you, you make some outrageous statement and then never bother to respond when you’re corrected or questioned. Besides, your example and what I am talking about has ZERO connection. This comment is from the very person who only last week was BOASTING about how Olympic let people under 16 in for free.

F*ck some of you Olympic boys talk a lot of sh*t
1. Your crowds have improved on last season but not to the extent that youve been talking it up. Youd think that you would have stopped talking sh*t after crowds were only about the 1000/1500 mark and not the 2/3k (or 5k as some completely deluded c*nt was claiming:lol: ) you were expecting
2. The ultras- it's great seeing the youngsters getting involved and getting things moving. However, stop talking yourselves up. Youre still pretty shit and you proved that by bringing only about 20 people to a home game against your biggest rivals. You were outsung and outnumbered AT HOME. Not to mention that we strolled in, took "your spot" in the stands and did as we pleased.
3. Show a bit of respect to your superiors. ie. us.
Other than that... keep it. Looking forward to welcoming you back to Edensor

ULTRAS MOVEMENT IS ONLY GOING ONE WAY AND THATS UP!!!! SO EVERYONE CAN SUFFER!
Also crowds will continue to move on up watch out for more
FNSW is still refusing to let Sydney Olympic's youth teams play their games out of the best stadium in Belmore Sports Ground this is unbelievable and is causing much unrest in the NSW football community.
The directors at FNSW will pay for making errors as anyone does and these rules is attroches

Im still confused by how all other football fans "suffer" by 30, 50 or even 500 ultras turning up at a game? Or how Sydney FC suffers if you guys could bring in a 3,000+ crowd? The Aleague and football in Australia are not going to be hurt by a state team getting good crowds and playing good football. On another note hope the attroches stop soon. I dont think we need any unrest in NSW football.

olympics crowds in the state league have been poor.
I would say a crowd over 2,000 in the state league for olympic would be possible the biggest.
NSL we have had over 42,000
wait for it big crowd

So another poor result today for Sydney UTS Olympic Pan Hellenic Sharks drawing 2-2 with Bankstown City Lions.
Usually with revolutions you have to actually make an impression.

http://www.theroar.com.au/2010/03/16/late-goal-earns-olympic-a-point/ Late goal earns Olympic a lucky point An 86th minute goal from youngster Mitchell Stamatelis was enough to earn Sydney Olympic a 2-2 draw against Bankstown at Jensen Park last night. Olympic found themselves 2-1 behind, following goals from Tallan Martin and Robbie Mileski, only to sneak a share of the spoils with only minutes on the clock. Following the match, Olympic coach Pat Marando said: “The match was very intense. The loss of Makrys early in the game affected us and it took a while to regroup. We created some chances early but again failed to capitalise on them.” On the slow start to the match, Marando added: “Bankstown had the better of the first half but we came out with a point to prove in the second period and the early sub of Mitch for Doumanis paid off when Tsattalios got on the end of a great Gumprecht cross to give us the lead. Unfortunately we couldn’t hold on and Bankstown quickly equalised. “That goal gave Bankstown the acendancy and we absorbed a lot of pressure but our fitness levels ensured we created chances and Mitch capitalised with a bomb from 30 meters out to make it 2-2.” A satisfied Marando concluded: “That was the first point at Jensen Park in 4 years. We definetly showed some character tonight and unveiled some young talent (Mitch Stamatelis) in the process.” Get Australia's best Football opinion

So what if they spend $20.00 - SO are still giving out free tickets, which you constantly give other clubs shit about. One day you might look back a realise how much of a muppet you have been. The fact the ball still has not dropped that had you approached these forums differently in the first place, you may have actually obtained some interest in SO, instead all you have done is make yourself look like a first class moron. Good Job. You and your pimple clad, concession member gripping 'ultras' have a long road a head of you if you think this is how you approach life. I wish Sydney Olympic the best of luck. You I wish would just fuck off and stop giving a great club such a bad name.

Giannaros and Kalouris sign on at Olympic posted by on March 19, 2010 Sydney Olympic has officially completed the signings of Central Coast duo Emmanuel Giannaros and Jerry Kalouris. The 18 and 21 year old defenders put pen to paper following a meeting with club officials yesterday and are available to play this weekend against Blacktown if required. Both players seemed impressed with the new facilities of the Club and they are looking forward to giving 100% for the team. The Board of Directors would like to welcome them and wish them all the best with Sydney Olympic Football Club. http://www.sydneyolympicfc.com/news/2010/03/19/giannaros-and-kalouris-sign-on-at-olympic/

noticed Olympic have nick tsattlios and Andre Gumprect in thier first team squad.
I though Gumprect was coaching the Newcastle W-league team, or was at least coaching if that is wrong?
Good on him if he's still lacing up though.

Solympic - Reading your mundane posts over the preceding months I have formulated a snap shot of you - profiling if you will.
Lets get the obvious out of the way first....
As an Olympic supporter you dont live to far form Belmore.
As an Olympic supporter you held delusions that Olympic would win the A-league License for the Western Sydney region, but were shocked when the rovers consortium were awarded the honor in late 2009.
After this outcome you joined FFT forums in early 2010, In a conceded attempt to denegrate the league to the already converted faithful. Thier hardline stance for supporting the league that shunned you confuses you and makes you more determined to attack them.
Your general foul langage on this site lends me to think you are past puberty but mabey in you mid 20's.
You are too prone to baiting to be older then 30 and your attempts at trolling are quite juvenile
I sumise that you were introduced to Olympic by a family member of greek background. Possible an Uncle or your father. You probaly played at a youth capacity which re-enforced a feeling of 'belonging'. This bond gives you the feeling you must defend the club at the expense of all logic
Your propensity you have for swearing also shows me you do not hold down a job that has large amount of customer interaction as you would naturally censor yourself, and it would show through your posts.
Your general Lack of keyboard skill and grammer that you demonstrate also show me that you do not simply hold down a high paying job in a 'back office' were language could be more 'relaxed'.
I would then assume through process of elimination that you may work in food and beverage at a bar or a station in a resturants kitchen well away from customers or as a general labourer/factory hand.
Money is hard to come by so you feel looked down apon by the supporters of Sydney FC because they positioned them self in the heart of the expensive city.
You have dark racist tendancies towards the Jewish faith that you have freely expressed, but I feel that because of your finacial position and your racist point of view that you associate Jewish people with money, and therefore if Sydney FC have money they must be funded by Jews.
You find coping mechanisms in this logic for the benifactors of Olympic, "they are not Jews just generous people supporting my dear uncles/dads team".
By entering these sites in a malestrom of abuse and anti football sentiments you have alienated all its members, and to cope with not being accepted you have extended your anti FC/rovers belifes to an all out slander against the whole competion that you see inferior to the NSWPL only because Olympic play in that competition.
You find yourself increasingly held accountable for your comments and this agrevates you.
Your need to denegrate the A-league far outways your ability to find relevant evidence or articles to support your view, so you resort to makeing up your own reality to prove your point.
And in some simple associations.
Your favorite colure is blue. You drive an older style V8, but it has some modification (those you could afford) you think you could do a better job than your supervisor without knowing what he does.
-end-

Marando focused on regrouping his struggling side 23.03.10 09:46 Sydney Olympic coach Pat Marando (right) shown with Anthony Doumanis during the 2010 NSW Premier League Media Launch Sydney Olympic coach Pat Marando has admitted his team must regroup quickly as they face a tough match against Manly United this weekend. Winless in their last three matches, the Blues seemed to be lacking in many areas of the park in their 4-1 loss to Blacktown last week. Marando admits his team needs a bit of mental strength to guide them through this tough period. ``My players have been a bit naïve as of late,’’ he said. ``They basically have been putting themselves in positions where they know they will not win. ``We basically have to regroup and look forward rather than look back and regret. Sydney Olympic welcomed back Ian Ramsey and Emmanuel Giannaros to their side last week, but Marando says they will be better prepared for the game against Manly. ``Getting back Ian Ramsey and Manny Giannaros is a plus in one way but a negative in another way as they haven’t been with us for over three months,’’ Marando said. ``Last week it was quite difficult for them to find some rhythm with the players around them and they were sometimes found wanting.’’ Olympic have conceded six goals in their last two games, and Marando knows it is definitely a problem area. ``We need some work at the back.,’’ he said. ``We will be looking to get a few players back on deck. ``We’ll also be working on our team shape. Manly United themselves have had a slow start to the season but seem to lift a gear at their home ground. ``It will definitely be a tough game at Cromer this weekend,’’ Marando said. ``If Robbie Cattanach is playing he is always a danger player. ``But they always are powerful all over the park. They will be fighting for a result, getting players forward just as they normally do and playing diagonal balls flooding the area.’’ Manly United will face Sydney Olympic at Cromer Park on Sunday with kick off set for 6pm. -By Christopher Georges http://www.nswpl.com.au/index.php?id=554&tx_ttnews[tt_news]=3489&tx_ttnews[backPid]=537&cHash=09b454fd61

Okay, just to make a few things clear.
The 'Revolution' was not a campaign started by the Board of Olympic, rather, by a certain few fans of the Clubs. And in all honesty, it is going great.
Although it may not sound significant, for our Club it actually is.
Last year we had less then 200 season passes sold. This season we have about 550 season passes sold. I understand why some A-league boys would laugh at that, but for State League level, this is actually pretty good.
Last season we were averaging crowds of 500-600. Our first 3 home games of the season has given us crowds of 1300, 1800 and 1000. These crowds are impressive on a State League level. I hate to compare us to Sydney Croatia, but Croatia who is another historical Club that is heavily linked with Croatian community is getting crowds of 600 this season.
This season, we have an active supporters group. Something Olympic has not had since we were dropped into the NSWPL. This is pretty impressive considering the amount of years we have been out of the NSL without continued active support. This group of active supporters has actually come along way since Round 1, and we only finished Round 4. It is actually going along very promising with a lot of potential to be a good active firm.
With the fans contributing heavily in selling season passes, bringing people back to the game which reflects on our crowd and starting an active supporters group again, I think we have been fairly successful with our 'Revolution'. However, we have done as much as I think we can for this season as we can do. To continue this 'Revolution' going is now out of our hands, and is now in the hands of the committee, the coach and the players. If the committee runs the Club correctly, and the coaches and players bring in the results and we make it to the semi-finals this season, i really believe this 'Revolution' overall was a huge success and gives us a stepping stone to continue re-growing our Club again.
Any questions on the happening of the 'Olympic Ultras' supporters group, or general information on our wonderful Club, feel free to ask here on the forum or to Private Message me.

As long as the boys perform well I don't really care about the crowd since the crowd doesn't really matter all that much.

As I said, i really didn't want to compare us to Croatia, but I had to, to highlight on how significant a 1000 people crowd is in NSWPL. However, I do not disregard your point on results>crowd.

I worded it wrong. What I mean is it wouldn't matter if we got crowds off 600 or 10,000. It wouldn't change a thing. We would still be playing in the NSWPL just in front of bigger crowds. That's why crowds aren't a major major problem. As long as we get the 600-1000 we get now it'll be fine.

Minimalistix wrote:Okay, just to make a few things clear.

It is great that Sydney Olympic are taking a different approach this season, but just the way some of the Olympic fans have carried on in here, has been nothing short of ludicrous. This is first post in here, that I can stand and applaud. =d> =d>

TBPH I'm happy with averaging 600 the whole season as long as the results on the pitch go well. As long as the boys perform well I don't really care about the crowd since the crowd doesn't really matter all that much. how you can say crowds dont matter is beyond me. last season we had crowds between 1500 mark even hit 2000 in one match. problem is alot of people are feed up with the same old shit from our uprava, or lost interest, and its not like our club do any promoting...they are all fucked. You cant paint them all with the same brush... a lot of the uprava have their hearts in the right place and many put a lot of time, effort and money into the club like them or hate them we probably wouldnt exist in any capacity without them having said that, they could do better... but jebiga, dont see anyone else wanting to try

Minimalistix - How do you feel about morons (like solympic) making your great club look like it is followed by a bunch of morons. I am going to assume you know him as the 'ultras' group is not very big. Thanks for giving us a level headed explanation/response to the 'revolution' that is going on at Sydney Olympic. Olympic have a lot of history and it would be a shame to see that lost. solympic wrote:fuck the level headedness OLYMPIC IS THE BIGGEST CLUB IN OZ solympic - no doubt you are a troll, nobody could possibly be as stupid as you. Congrats, you have no doubt drawn the responses from people you have wanted all along. Please now vacate this discussion, as the NSWPL does deserve a lot of support and coverage, just you are turning the MAJORITY of Australian football supporters on 442 away from it.

As hard as it would be to believe this, solympic has done more for our Club then any one of us individuals on this forum has done to there own respective Clubs. He has brought in many major sponsors to the Club that we did not have in previous seasons. He individually has sold over 100 season passes to people. He has brought many people to our Ultra group who are participating actively with Olympic Ultras. He has done many great things to push our Club forward. However, he knows how i feel about him posting the way he does on forums. I think you all catch my drift on that statement... Edited by Minimalistix: 25/3/2010 06:32:17 PM

OLYMPIC IS COMING BACK MARK MY WORDS I am an A-League supporter and the last think I want is for Sydney Olympic to be dead. I respect Olympic and all they have done for football. You on the other hand, are everything that football in this country does not need. You are a moron if you blame the FFA or A-League supporters for the predicament your club is in. You really should be blaming the old Soccer Australia administrators who let things deteriorate to such a level that there was little to no choice for thing to be wound up. The new admin (FFA) came in and did what ANY professional, business minded governing body would do. I don't expect someone like you to understand this, you are way to close minded to your cause to be able to open your mind and see the bigger picture. Even in the presence of fact and reasonable argument, you will still always argue blindly using the stupid statements you have provided above. If you stopped and paused for a while, you would see that more interest in the A-League is good for Sydney Olympic. But again I don't suspect you are capable of that. It's a shame as I have been around football clubs like Olympic since the 80's and probably know more about the old days of football in this country from first hand experience then you ever will, but even I am losing interest fast in whether your club can move forward. I will continue to attend NSWPL games every weekend possible, but I highly doubt I will be going to Belmore this season (and I know your response will be to call me not a real fan anyway). Your pre-position to mark anyone of non-ethnic background a 'plastic' is moronic and borderline racist. Your constant jabs at the Jewish race is also moronic and racist, 442 should have banned you long ago. I feel sorry for Sydney Olympic as a football club having you assume the mouthpiece roll. I am sure most would be shocked and appalled by your attitude, the very least your new director who IS on the FFA payroll. In closing, please crawl back into the Neolithic hole you crawled out of and do football and your club a favour by shutting the fuck up.

Mate i balme the ffa for putting a black ban on any media of any clubs that are not in the a-league!
They want old soccer to die so that old soccer fans can bring larger attendances to new football.
Understood the ffa has done great things for the socceroos and with asia but they way they have treated the old soccer clubs who have given australian football much over the last 50 years is unforgivable!

Driving to Wollongong on match day is the best. Nothing like doing 150km down the freeway in a carload full of boys pumped for the game.

A) Most of what the Greeks "created" was "borrowed" from the Eqyptians or other ancient races. Its just thatA) Alexander the great (who wasnt greek) helped export additional Greek influence and B) they had such a big cultural influence on the Romans, who managed to have a big empire.
But after 2 and a half thousand years and all the empires that have shifted their power and people through Greece, do you actually think that your ancestory has more incommon with the Ancient Greeks than it does Romans,Goths, Arabs, TURKS?

If the FFA has put a media ban on the old nsl clubs then why every week is there a wrap up of sydney united and marconi's games every single week in my local paper. That doesn't sound like a media ban to me.
You also still haven't given any hard evidence that there is a media ban all you have is your word which has no standing here. So get some proof of a media ban or STFU

Ron Smith, was at the game on Sunday versus the Berries and he was saying that if this Olympic squad can put it together they would easilly beat teams from the A-LEAGUE and the quality of football in the NSWPL is much higher than the VPL and much higher than people think.

Only Ron Smith, an a-league reject himself, would say that a bunch of other a-league rejects would beat a team of actual a-league players who kept out the rejects at S olympic because they are better players, great reasoning there ronny boy.

how can you call ron smith a reject.
AIS head coach for 10 years produced players like
moore, viduka, kennedy, grella, bresciano, emerton, sterjovski
coached at liverpool fc with gerrard houllier and played for tottenham hotspur are you for real

What I said, is he is an a-league reject, meaning he did not coach to an accepted level in the a-league, i think he got fired after 18 games in a row without a win or something, so yes I am for real, he is an a-league reject hence why he is now at olympic as a technical director.
Btw bresciano, grella, emerton, kennedy and sterjovski were all products of the AIS after he left.

No it is not, my point stands, he couldnt cut it in the a-league, therefor only he would make such a stupid comment as to say players playing in the NSWPL who were proven not able to play at the required level of the a-league, could beat a team of players that are proven to be better than said players, hence keeping them out of the a-league in the first place.

Stop arguing with solympic.
Ron Smith is an adiquete coach, but not a Legend or any where near a good enough tactitian to make it in the A-League. He could be an assistant or a technial advisor but thats about it.

Fan favourite, and 2009 NSW Premier League Golden Boot winner, Matthew Mayora, is interviewed by a member of the Olympic Ultras. Matty, how does it feel to come up again against your old Club on Saturday night? Yeah, I can’t wait for it. You always want to play good against your old club, but for me it’s more. I want to win and not lose any more, come top 3 and give 100% each game but I cant want for sat night it will be a great game.Continue reading full interview here: http://olympicultras.com.au/

Olympic part ways with Pat MarandoThe board of Sydney Olympic Football Club have decided to release Pat Marando from his first grade coaching duties with immediate effect. The decision was taken following the board meeting last night and any decision on a new coach has yet to be concluded. The club would like to thank Pat for his involvement and years of service at the club and wish him all the best in his future endeavours. Mate, you guys have had something like 10 coaches since we've dropped to the NSWPL. Did you blokes ever think that if you ever gave a coach a bit of time and showed some patience that you might get some results?
Last season you guys sacked arguably the best coach in the comp after just a few weeks
I think the board should be looking a little closer to home when trying to fix on-field problems at the club...

lol, not that i should expect you to know our history to well, but this issue has been something since the NSL days. Nearly every season in the NSL we had a new coach. We have always never had patience. Genc left on his own accord due to the sacking of Sam Emmanouil (one of our old goal keepers) and a loud and vocal group of olympic supporters/Emmanouil family and friends abusing the shit out of Genc at the Penrith Away match. After that debacle, he fucked us off... Now those people don't go to Olympic anymore, which some would argue is to our own benefit but Genc is gone. I really don't care if Genc is gone... I'd rather not have Turks and/or Slav-Maceodnians have anything to do with out Club. In our recent history Milan Blagojevic has been the best coach we have had, but he left due to 'work' reasons, which I believe because he has not popped up elsewhere to coach. We thought he originally gave that as an excuse so he could leave then go on to coach BWE cause they were getting promoted the next season.

I know that there was a lot of bullsh*t surrounding the Gency thing... at the end of the day, you blokes just keep shooting yourselves in the foot.
Your board seems to think that by bringing in a new coach he will be the magical solution to all your problems. It is exactly why you never make the semis

I can not put up an arguement to that. You are 100% spot on. We just need one high-profile coach (high-profile to state league standards) and keep him to develop a squad and philosophy and etc. We want instant success, and this was the problem in the late 90's and early 00's. We wanted instant success which we got, but the money spent on the squads and coachs then we have nothing to show for. Instead of buying a homeground or a social club to have something to recognise with, we have nothing, and we still remain a gypsy club. Atleast this board here, are trying to do the best to fix this, and we have brand new offices at Belmore Sports Ground with a trophy room and etc, which gives us atleast something we never had in the NSL. Getting the 'Bomber' as our coach would have been perfect, but unfortunately BWE got him... Our best bet would be to try and get Milan Blagojevic back or to atleast make something of the season and bring some of the crowd back, bring a Club legend like Peter Katholos or Marshall Soper to coach till seasons end.
