Scary thing about Epstein is that he’s likely the tip of the iceberg when it comes to pedo sex rings among the rich and powerful. Think of this - if Epstein provided the girls, who provides the boys?

Also kinda makes things like Eyes Wide Shut and Kubrick’s sudden death seem ominous, while wacko conspiracists like Alex Jones and Pizzagate seem not so wacko.

Turns out Eyes Wide Shut was a documentary.

Trump:  'no one knows more about the environment than me'

Who the fuck talks like that?

I'd love to hear from someone who rates him tell me how they can listen to this and still think he right in the head.  Does he literally believe it or is he taking the piss?

Like it or not you can't have a referendum and not go through with the decision the country came to.

Seems to me that everyone except the people that voted for it is doing their best to ignore that referendum completely. 3 years is a long time to be messing about.

Is the October deadline a firm thing?

Yes according to Boris but he's just lost control of Parliament so there's a whole host of other scenarios that could play out now..  I'm betting an extension will be granted to January 31.  Otherwise a 'snap' election although that needs 2/3rds of Parliament to agree to so that'll be tricky too.

As to not abiding by the referendum that's a fair point but I can't help thinking that although the idea sounded good in principle no one really had a handle on what was actually involved.  Cameron would be kicking himself I'd reckon for starting the whole thing off.

BTW.  The UK could leave tomorrow if they accepted the deal that was negotiated.

The reason they haven't is the 'deal'.  That's the problem.

What did they decide on? In my opinion they marginally agreed to do something that could mean a multitude of different things over something that had only one meaning (aka status quo). If non-binding referendums are so sacrosanct then in my opinion they should hold another to see if people actually agree with the deal or not. If they can get an agreement on the floor of the house then that'd be fine too but they can't.

Yup, people didn't know what they were voting for and its clear to see when all the people who orchestrated that movement (Farrage etc) have all since bailed out lol.

"Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?"

Pretty obvious isn't it?

If you aren't going to abide by one referendum why the hell would you have another one?

But nah, let's just keep asking the question in different ways until we get the response from the public that we want!

Exactly. All I'm saying is they can't agree on how to leave, how do you resolve that? If they can't do it on the floor of parliament and the "will of the people" is so important, get the answer from them.

The question has a gap because the terms of leaving were not established. I think the extension to January 2020 will happen and there will be a general election which will be run on the following 4 options:

- Hard Brexit
- Negotiate a deal as favourably as the Government can, and if not attainable, hard Brexit
- Negotiate a deal as favourably as the Government can, and if not attainable, remain
- Remain

1, 2, 3 and 4 are unlikely.

In rough numbers this is my understanding;

1/3 of parliament want a no deal brexit.
1/3 want the deal
1/3 want to stay

......hence the giant clusterfuck of an impasse.  Because not 1 option of the above is compatible with any other option.

There's no end in sight for this.

Then in reality the new referendum question should be:

Does Britain -

(a) Leave with the deal negotiated?
or
(b) Leave without a deal?  (Hard Brexit.)

I'm not disagreeing with this, just the push by many 'remainers' to disregard the decision and stay with the EU.

Even if the remainers were taken out of the equation they still can't get out of Europe.

Perhaps, but it doesn't consider the situation of a Leave voter that wanted to leave with a very different deal and would rather stay in the EU from the realistic options. To me this is not a situation of "ignoring or disregarding the first result" but rather "now that you have all information on the table, what do you think is the best outcome?"
