I finished the first book of the Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones series. Absolutely loved it! I'm honestly glad I watched the show first so I have an easier/more conveniant mental image of it all - I don't think my imagination would have done it justice. What I did notice was the book was nearly word-for-word aligned to the TV series. When does it start to deviate between the two (I assume the TV show does a little bit)?
In between Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings, I just read Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton. Turns out I'd never read it before. Freaking loved it, absolutely loved it. Fxxx me, Lex is annoying in it though :lol:

Flight being delayed led to me obtaining The Moaning of Life by Karl Pilkington. I'm already about 3/4 through it, it's a pretty short read, but man am I enjoying it. I haven't yet had the chance to read or watch Idiot Abroad or watch Moaning of Life, but I know of Pilkington from the Ricky Gervais Show. He's such a dry, funny writer - and the beauty of it is I don't think he's even meaning to be funny.

Picked up George RR Martin's World of Ice and Fire today. $35 from QBD for a really nice hardcover book, haven't delved too much into it yet but it is very well presented with some nice artworks in it. Will post more as I get into reading it

Currently labouring through SAF's autobiography, which tbh is very poorly written compared to how I thought it would be.
After that I think I'm going to have a good solid read of the bible, to get a bit more of an in-depth look at how much or how little interests me.
