+xJacob Pepper has signed for Madura United in Indonesia after his release from the Roar. Wonder if he paid out his contract to the Roar [like Taylor Regan did with Adelaide] to force the move to be able to go ahead. Makes no sense for a club to release a player wanted abroad, wouldn't you hold out for a transfer fee? The Bakrie's (Brisbane owners) owned this club in the early 2000's. Can't see if they still have an interest. Last ownership change was 2016.

+x+x+x+x+x+xUnrelated question to where this thread is right now ...but I have been noticing that the forum generally seems to often be dominated by Roar threads . The Orange Army thread is often at or near the top and other Roar threads seem to be often big comment providers . I don't see a great deal of threads about Sydney FC or Melbourne, Newcastle , etc .... Am I missing something technical (like maybe the forum knows what I like or something) or are there just a lot of people constantly commenting on the Roar ? Serious question . Interesting question.Obviously there are some keen Roar supporters that like to post. But I have no idea why other supporters ,such as Victory supporters (with by far the most memberships)aren't as active. It isnt normally related to the ladder position either. It's one of those mysteries like ratings. I think a lot of other club's posters have indicated in the past that they prefer to post in their respective club's forums. I've noticed that the Roar Forum has shut down, so this is really the only place for us to chat about stuff. The old Roar forum was pretty much dead near the end, hardly anyone went on there, but that is just forums in general nowadays, rarely see them as social media platforms like facebook, twitter etc have taken over. The Roar Forum died for unknown reasons, which was a shame. I didn’t post there but there was always good reading.
It’s a mystery why other clubs threads aren’t as active as this one, there’s been discussion around a general decline across this forum so maybe that’s the cause.
I don’t buy the “other clubs fans prefer to post elsewhere” argument because Roar supporters post elsewhere as well (the BRFC Supporters Club as probably the biggest example)
I think this thread is so active because there’s 5/6 active posters not just one or two. Yea, was always good read on the old roar forum, there was always this one Brisbane Strikers guy on there, forget his name but he was always taking the piss but he was funny enough. In regards to the 442 forum, Brisbane Roar have always have always had quite a few members over the years on here, some have left but new ones have joined, always been pretty consistent as one of the most supported on here besides Victory and Sydney Fc fans. Yourself and Roar in my Blood have been leading the way in positive posting in here which I do love, I used to be the same but have lost my way in recent years, hope to get that back and join you guys. You’re thinking of Septic Bladder. He was funny but annoying.
This forum is much better than BRSC as people here generally have a good idea. Social media is a bit of a cesspool of shitty ideas and whining whereas here is actually informative and somewhat accurate.

+xIn the days when my Boy was too young for The Den we sat just behind the Roar coaching box and heard on numerous occasions Broich and Berisha talking to coaches about poor performing team mates. And they didn’t hold back.
Berisha was notorious for telling his team mates how they were performing on the pitch, in the changing room and on the training park. And who can forget Steff blowing up at Young?
If SMD was having a go at young Mirza. Good, the young kid better get used to it because that is football.
If SMD was having conversations with coaches about Mirza. Good, that’s what you want from your leadership group.
If this stuff is NOT happening a team has a problem. There is generally no problem when it does happen.
The only player I saw getting a serve at the game was Hingert (still not sure what for, someone suggested it was his cheap turnover that started the WSW goal that caused it). So it seems no player is immune. I dont mind players having a bit of a go at each other when it is deserved, either to fire them up or let them know when their output has dropped (particularly in a win because the winning feeling at the end heals a lot of wounds) but SMD was over the top in my mind. the main one was probably the 3rd or 4th time he turned to the bench to complain, there was a straight ball forward played that SMD dummied thinking Mirza was making a run beyond him. in typical play SMD would have taken the ball and played out the other side but he didnt and Mirza wasnt actually making the run he was just dragging a defender away. SMD got up him and the bench that Mirza didnt make the run. that one was over the top as it definitely was not a typical rotation no need to get up a player when it is not a typical rotation and just a 50-50 gamble that you take that didnt pay off.

How do you know they haven’t been working on that move for weeks and Mirza was out of position?
The reality is you don’t know what’s gone on in training. You don’t know whether RF had asked Scott to fire up Mirza. To be honest, we don’t even know if it happened as people are saying (it’s interpretation at best).
So lets not blow anything out of proportion.

In what other field of enterprise does someone trash two large businesses in succession and get a third shot ffs?

Maybe with Victory's resources he could buy a winning team .....and then confuse them with his zonal play system ? I personally still love Mirons " Lizard " system.

We talk about the problems with player recycling, but Aloisi getting another A League gig would trump that.
It has to be Victory. Defies all credulity and common sense.

+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+x+xUnrelated question to where this thread is right now ...but I have been noticing that the forum generally seems to often be dominated by Roar threads .
Septic Bladder that was it
Agreed, this forum has been a great place compared to the rest. is Septic Bladder Libel here ? In a way yes, Septic Bladder mainly focused his attention on brisbane roar though while libel is focused on the new ffa. 2 completely different people with different interests. Both are/were good value for the stir they cause. Did you really just say that your multi (libel) was good value? :D You can't read is that why you ask or you just wanted to add your copycat story to it? Nice one lol.
In a resort somewhere
