Love the labor logic in this whole thing. YAAAAY we're gonna make great schools and give people a better education. We're going to make them all more likely to get into university but now we've decreased the quality of tertiary education destroying the point of them getting better secondary education. YAY lets pat ourselves on the back for being geniuses. I think we're at the point where we can stop worrying about labor policy.

It's got absolutely nothing to do with being poor.....here we are in one of the best countries in the world, with low unemployment rates, and employers struggling to get good staff, the government spending millions helping people get trained and employable and we have record welfare....LOL...:d     :d :d
are you that fucken naive that you think it's that hard to get a job.....there are job everywhere for the taking....!!!!!
difference is in the old days you did anything to put bread and butter on the table and feed your'e family and make ends meet....these days in the era of entitlement if there isn't a job advertised for your'e chosen field you throw your'e hands in the air and say i can't get a job and go and get welfare, and then register for child care rebates, and child endowment and countless other taxpayer wasting scheme's, so after working 35 years in the workforce, many of them without superannuation, sick leave or any on the redundancy or entitlemnets why should my tax $$$$ look after the generation of soft cocks that are useless and lazy and don't know what it means to get a fair days pay for a fair days labour??????

Yeah, except these industries of need aren't entry level positions. They're positions where you have to do years of training like Medecine, et al. Not the kind of industry you want to be recruiting people from the centrelink office for.

Okay. How about we start with corporate welfare and negative gearing.

I know a lot of people who've been put out of work in my neck of the woods and they've all got families to feed so it's not like they're not looking or not willing to work for it. These men are fathers, some of their children are disabled for heaven's sake (I meet a lot of families at special needs schools). To call these people "soft cocks" is simply outright disgraceful. You're out of touch and entirely out of compassion.

Edited by batfink: 3/6/2013 07:49:31 AM Set a criteria for the hardcore unemployed and what you'd plan to do to the social welfare of people who meet that criteria.

batfink wrote:i have never been unemployed in my life So you're in NO WAY qualified to talk about welfare. And subsequently, have no way of discerning who "the scammers, bludgers and people rorting the system" are. You've NEVER had to live off $450 a fortnight. And to keep repeating yourself like it gives your absurdly textbook liberal party agenda any more weight is just ridiculous.
