fap fap Two players on the fringe of their respective senior squads. Hardly anything to fap about. The potential is there, but both players will find it extremely difficult to see genuine game time this season. Umm Yes Quite obviously It's fapping for futures equity, get on it!

The team carried a bit by the captain and to a lesser extent Inman. Them on their own getting 19 of the teams 22 points. Hoping Brad Smith, Ryan Williams, Edwards and Burgess get added into the game. I think we will see a big improvement in the coming weeks with players getting more game-time hopefully Edited by moofa: 11/8/2014 11:53:06 AM

Mrcela got his first minuted for Locamotiv and they lost 2-5 but it is not as bad as that sounds for Mrcela. He came on in the 23rd minute according to Football Central ( Today's wrap). By then they were already 1-3 down. In the 44th minute they has a players sent off and in the 64th the other team got a penalty (not Mrcela). In the 71st minute Mrcela scored. The last goal was a pretty long shot the other CB should have closed down. In the highlights the striker does get past Mrcela and should have scored but missed. Highlights: Mrcela goal at 1:10, he is #5 report which shows he didn't start: http://www.index.hr/sport/clanak/moze-li-lokomotiva-s-igracem-manje-do-iznenadjenja-mrcela-smanjio-vodstvo-hajduka-42-/764810.aspxEdited by moofa: 11/8/2014 12:59:20 PM

Craig Westcarr? You're using a fantasy football game for this I see, I've never tried one so there's probably a reason for this I'm unaware of.

Yeah it is an official football league fantasy game. Wescarr is one of the most expensive strikers in it because he scored 14 goals last season and dropped down a division and is playing with one of the best teams in the league (Portsmouth). He is only there because there are no other Aussie attackers in the game

His defensive contribution was poor this game so that hasnt improved (though thats partly because he didnt need to do much) but his pass accuracy was excellent and only 6 long balls Not sure I agree with that. Transfermarket obviously not the best guide but has the Value of Dynamo 4 times that of Feyenoord. Would rate Russia over Holland now as well. Clubs just have so much dam $$$$

Always seems even if the boys impress during pre-season they still end up discarded. Brillante is a great example.

Here is a comment on an article from the post match interview with Fiorentina captain Manuel Pasqual. The part in quotation marks is from Pasqual. Quote:One comment
Raimbaut August 11, 2014 23:57 "Brilliant? He's doing very well, playing two-touch. He witnesses a bit 'all. " learns quickly the boy, eh? at the bottom of the talent is not in relation to the place of birth, and even if the fundamentals of one who has always played down under may be more rough, if there is talent and brain learns and adapts quickly - certainly better than many bogans from ' low hanging

Preseason involves testing depth, and Josh is depth for Fiorentina, nothing more.

Player ratings from Fiorentina V Betis: Quote:Fiorentina: Tatarusanu 6; Piccini 7 (Mancini 6), Hegazy 6, Tomovic 6, Pasqual 6 (Roncaglia 6 ); Vecino 5 (Pizarro 6.5), Brillante 6.5, Wolski 6 (Iakovenko 5); Joaquin 8 (Cuadrado 6.5), Babacar 7 (Gomez 6), Vargas 7.5 (Lazzari 5.5) It was essentially a B team. I think Josh has done very well so far to have the coach and fans thinking positively about him, because at the beginning most fans were not happy with this signing at all. We need to look further than our A-league borders and realise that we are not there yet and the judgement on Australian players is fair. We are simply not producing the talent we have decades before and the accessibility to talent anywhere in the world is far more open than it used to be. Edited by socceroo_06: 12/8/2014 02:18:35 PM

It could play apart initially, I was actually thinking the other day that I wonder if the jets would have got more money for Taggart if he had been Brazilian or Argentinian. And I think the answer would have been yes. It's easier to sell a poor Brazilian then a very good Fijian. (Not the exact quote but the points the same)

the fact he's in the B team already is good, I don't think he will feature regularly but Cup games and injury issues he could play 15-20 games this season. Then really push for a spot next season.

Babalj scored from a pen for Jong AZ, played 77 mins. Looks like he's in the shitty position of being well up to standard for the reserves but just not showing enough to make the senior matchday squad.
By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

AZ is just to big of a club it will take him years unless he gets lucky with injuries then hits career best form. A loan to a recently promoted side would be perfect.
