Did Rogic come on as a sub? If he played 90 minutes, he looked full of running at the end of the game.=d>

Interesting to read the ELO. In terms of recent Socceroo performances, they don't correlate much. Edited by Decentric: 10/7/2016 11:22:20 PM

By now, American Samoa must have realised that Australias 22-0 win over Tonga two days earlier was no fluke.

Gersbach was an unused sub in RBK's 5-2 victory against Sarpsborg.

When I looked up the team they played, they are a Slovenian team. Probably not too much to be excited about as it was only a friendly. Nevertheless, Rogic seems to be one Euroroo in a very good club scenario. From a coaching clinic I attended with Melb Victory coaching staff, Muscy said that Brendan Rodgers, coached in a very similar way to himself and Ange. I was worried about Deila leaving, but Rodgers is even better. Muscy spent a lot of time with Rodgers at Liverpool, De Boer or Koeman, at Ajax and at Barca in last year's off season. I was very taken with Muscy's MV training ground sessions.

Edited by Dillhole: 11/7/2016 01:51:11 PM He raised eyebrows amongst England fans in the friendly all asking about him. He'll have some blinders and a quiet few games aswell. Hopefully he does really well against the league's best teams.

looks like it was 1-0 first half, then mooy came on in the second half and it finished at 4-1... seems like he impressed.

a lot of huddersfield forumites are critical of davidson's positional sense which is the weakest part of his game
in england your positional sense is probably one of the most important attributes none of the new generation have strong positional awareness so england is going to be a tough league for young aussies
mooy isn't great in this regard either so hopefully the ecl fans will see his other attributes

Mooy actually makes a lot of tackles and intercepts a game and doesn't seem to have a bad engine although probably not as big an engine as the typical ecl player but I remember the grand final between roar and wsw when la rocca went off and mooy had to play in his position. He had trouble keeping a straight vertical line between him and the cb behind him and also keep a straight horizontal line making up the block of 8 like la rocca did which opened up passing lanes and the rest is history. Thats despite him being good with tackles and intercepts. If a team plays a high press where perfect structure isn't key to your teams tactics mooy is fantastic because he will win turnovers, find pockets of space, join in the build up as well as create something in tight spaces (and is a great set piece taker) But if his team is relying on his positional play then he will be shown up because he doesn't suit those tactics
