Im very disappointed at how some federations have handled the influx of teams eager to compete however at some pointi guess you have to cap it.

Football Brisbane has released the structure and First Round draw for their zone. It seems much the same format as last year, with the four spots being split evenly between the Canale Travel Cup (Brisbane) and the FQ Cup (Regional QLD).

Wolves4Entry for the 2015 Westfield FFA Cup (a.k.a Dockerty Cup) will close on Tuesday. This will apply only to teams outside the National Premier Leagues and the State Leagues as anyone involved in those leagues are automatically added.

Already Cobram Roar have announced their intentions of entering the cup and could have their first competitive match as a club since their formation as Roar after the merger between Cobram and Cobram Victory.

So any club outside the NPL and State League can apply as long as they are affiliated with the FFV. In the past clubs have came from Geelong Regional, Ballarat and Districts, Albury Wodonga, FFV Metropolitan and Veterans and so on.

The draw will take place this Wednesday the 4th of Feb.

Remember, clubs must have their players registration paid before their opening match otherwise teams can find themselves disqualify (like Dandenong Wolves in the photo above after defeating Glen Waverley - who also was disqualify!) for playing eligible player(s) as happened last season.

Didn't they also cap the number of non State League teams that can apply too, or is that toast?

They merged with the other cobram team.

There has never been a mens Macedon Rangers derby (the ladies played one). We've asked for friendlies and theve refused. We now have them in state 5 and we potentially could get them in the cup.

I hope there will be a big following if this comes to fruition. \:d/

Well the cup tie would be one of the rare times we wouldn't have to go up against the boganball. So we might get a decent turn out for that. During the season we struggle, being a country town all the bumpkins are down watching boganball. In fact when we do our Friday night fund rasing raffle down at the local pub (that's also our kit sponsor) we sometimes get told to feck off by the bogans because they "follow the footy club not that woggy shit". That being said they are in the minority and most people do help out it just getting them down to watch the match that's the struggle.





Had a solid run a training last night. Mostly game play (self promoting my awesome touch that set up a goal). Got a friendly this week vs Mitchell Ranges to prep us for the cup game.

It clearly wouldnt be allowed under the club identity policy.
It will be interesting in the future when the FFA should follow their own rules and ban any new clubs/schools from entering if they for example have a religious connection.
