Will be amusing if Cooma become the ACT's representative given Cooma isn't in the ACT, but 100kms away from it. So technically, it'll be another NSW team.

The same logic that says Wellington is an Australian side. Belconnan (spelling) will qualify anyway, I feel it in my nuts.

ANU FC takes on Belconnen United in FFA Cup quarter-finals qualifier May 25, 2015 - 8:00PM Share Adjust font size Read Later EmailFacebookGoogle PlusTwitterWhatsapp By LEE GASKIN ANU FC coach Branko Milicevic knows his side couldn't have asked for a tougher assignment if it wants to keep its FFA Cup dream alive.
The reigning league champions of the Capital League - the second tier of Capital Football - take on defending National Premier League grand final winners Belconnen United at the Hawker Football Centre on Tuesday night.
At stake is a spot in the last four of qualifying for the nation-wide knockout tournament.
Gungahlin United and Tigers FC are already safely through to the semi-finals, while the Monaro Panthers and Tuggeranong United will square off for the other remaining place.
"It's a massive game for us and while I'm not overly confident we're going to win, I'm confident we will give them a game," Milicevic said.
"These guys [Belconnen United] are the winners from last year and they're the benchmark.
"In some respects, it's probably the true benchmark between the Premier League in Canberra and the Capital League in Canberra."
ANU FC lost in the grand final of the Capital League last year, but have returned strongly to lead the competition this season.
They have also been impressive in the early rounds of the cup, thrashing Canberra City 9-2 and squeezing past Queanbeyan City 1-0.
"While Canberra hasn't got a truly professional league, we're at the opposite end of that spectrum," Milicevic said.
"We're truly the amateurs, our players pay for the privilege of playing while the Premier League gets the players and they pay them.
"This is as far as we got last year where we got beaten by Woden.
"We were commended for our fighting spirit and effort, which we will endeavour to achieve tomorrow."
Striker Olaide Yinka-Kehinde has been lively through ANU FC's first two FFA Cup games and could cause problems for Belconnen United's defence.
This is Belconnen United's first game in FFA Cup qualifying after it received an automatic passage to the last eight as a reward for winning last year's Federation Cup.
The Blue Devils are currently sitting equal second in the NPL after a 2-0 win against Woden-Weston FC last Saturday night.
The winner of the Capital Football FFA Cup qualifiers will progress to the main draw of 32, which is when the nine A-League teams enter the competition.
TUESDAY: FFA CUP: Monaro Panthers v Tuggeranong United, 6pm. ANU FC v Belconnen United, 8pm. Both games at the Hawker Football Centre. http://m.canberratimes.com.au/sport/act-sport/anu-fc-takes-on-belconnen-united-in-ffa-cup-quarterfinals-qualifier-20150525-gh8t71.html

F NNSW football. They rigged it so 6 newcastle teams play in the final. Check out the rigging of the draw. They dont even try to hide it. NNSW out SA in . Im anti Newcastle on this one, hope the other teams get through or they get knocked out first round.
FFA needs to take over this process pronto.

I remember watching the last 20 minutes of their game against Devenport I think it was. I can't see how Fox can block streams of qualification games. Maybe they can?

Quote:Youngsters face biggest test 28th May 2015 9:03 AM
WFC will host Frenchville on Saturday night at the Whitsunday Sportspark, hoping to take another step on what has already been a triumphant FFA Cup road.
The local team qualified as the top team in the Mackay region earlier this year but now face the best the Central Queensland Premier League has to offer.
Premiers can't stop winning
WFC football manager Anthony Nobilia didn't shy away from how important the clash is.
"It's the biggest game I've been a part of in my time at the club," he said.
"It's definitely very exciting for the club, right from the juniors through to seniors.
"Hopefully we'll have a big crowd down there."
Being a Rockhampton-based team, Nobilia said the club didn't have any intel on its opponents this weekend.
"We're working on set pieces at training this week because we recognise that tight games can be won on set pieces," Nobilia explained.
"We don't know what to expect other than they'll be competitive.
"To be prepared is the only way we can go, so we're rehearsing our set pieces because we could win from a free-kick or a corner.
"At the end of the day it doesn't matter how you win."
The FFA Cup tie will kick-off at 6.30pm on Saturday.
WFC's MCL and reserves team have games at 2pm and 4pm, respectively. http://www.whitsundaytimes.com.au/news/youngsters-face-biggest-test/2652801/
