The law in this case is equal, it doesn't consider gender it considers action and consequence. Though because the victim is female all of a sudden a bunch of male internet hardasses come waltzing in swinging their e-cocks around complaining about an imaginary double standard that victimises them. There is no legal disparity in this, and the media disparity only exists because people like you give it oxygen with the crap you spew. Guess what? Feminists also hate that the media portrays women as helpless. In all probability more than you do. Not because it's not holding women to the same standard as men, but because it gives credence to the idea that women are precious objects that need to be protected by men. No-one says men don't have societal problems, they very much do, but only someone determinedly ignorant (or a dedicated asshole) could claim that men are the proportionally greater victims of the social gender imbalance in the way MRAs do when so much about our society directly benefits them.

Somewhat agreed - As suggested, he obviously didn't know who it was and if indeed it were a man, then 'perhaps' the reaction/commentary may be slightly less or even portrayed in a different context? We see in sport how some like Andrew Symonds and some Gridiron players are practically lauded for their tackling or further, assault, of some pitch invaders. While she/'they' transgressed in climbing onto the stage AND 'technically' touching the performer - it does not excuse his reaction and indeed, if we enter the area of Law and let's just say, other circumstances removed from this - If this guy was a busker in the street or just a punter with a beer and some random girl or person just knocked into them slightly, be it accidental or out of playfulness like that - not unlike some nights out in the city etc.. - then would they too be excused for their subsequent reaction of a free, blind-sided, swing at the less than full functioning, so-called' provocateur?
